Helpful, courteous, and attentive friendly staff, always there when you need them, but at the same time unobtrusive. The rooms are really spacious, bright & airy with lovely, modern decor, and as mentioned, spotlessy clean. All the usual room comforts are provided such as tea/coffee making facilities, ironing board+iron and TV. The bathroom was really gorgeous too with a roll-top bath plus walk-in shower. Expensive smelling toileties & beautifuly soft white fluffy towels completed the superior ambiance of the whole building. Breakfast was a delightful experience, with excellent quality locally sourced food, and plenty of it. Some things were even home-made too, like the delicious jams and marmalade. Oh, and better not forget to mention that they also cater for veggetarians. There is lots of attention to detail here, with everything you could want to hand - and if it's not there just ask, & you will be given - with a smile, I might add! I can't praise the owners high enough for their unwavering consideration towards their guests, which in my opinion more than ensures return visits, and plenty of them! The couple that run the place are 1st class, the breakfast was excellent, the place is very clean and modern, but with an old wooden style too. The garden is impressive, and there are plenty of places to eat nearby, as they do not cook evening meals. They upgraded me to their master room, without any prompting from myself - because they were quiet - and they gave me some of their homemade cake to take to work with me. The bed was gorgeous, the surrounding area is gorgeous, the place is gorgeous! I would love to come back in personal time, stay a couple of nights, and walk the Malvern Hills - recommended, but not cheap.

It must be people who've never stayed in actual 5 star hotels. The grounds are maybe 4 star. The room is 2 star. The service is 1 star. We had to fill out our breakfast choices on a list like you'd do in a 3 or 4 star restaurant the day before. And as if that's not bad enough, the food is rationed. You get one mushroom and one sausage on your plate. They do not have veggies to add to an omelette. They can't make boiled eggs. If you happen to forget to fill out the breakfast list the day before, they have no flexibility. You just won't eat, because the food is rationed out precisely as to how many guests will eat. The number of eggs is exact etc. The same women who cook also clean, so they are visibly irritated when you show up without submitting your choices the night before because they have to hurry to clean the rooms. They only serve breakfast in a 1.5 hour window because they have to rush to go and start cleaning the guest rooms. We asked for extra towels and extra water in the room. It never happened. The bath soap was not refilled. The cleaning ladies left their cleaning agents in our bathroom twice. I can understand this happening once but twice is horrendous. I have never seen this happen before in a 5 star hotel. We have stayed in many 5 star hotels and this is DEFINITELY NOWHERE near 5 stars. It is 3 star at the most! They are clearly trying to make a huge profit by economizing their supplies, food and staff!!! And the outside of the door is unkempt. The room is tired, the bed is tiny--IT IS NOT KING SIZE. IT IS QUEEN. The bed sheets are very low quality, the room is dusty and smells stale and the entire room is 2 star. PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO THE BAD REVIEWS: THEY ARE THE TRUTH!!!

Our reception by the night-porter was cordial and he willingly served us to drinks because he'd sent the bar staff home. The bedroom and bathroom were modern, well fitted and had excellent views across to Bredon Hill. Breakfast, however, was a different prospect. Unclothed tables, covered in crumbs and no-one to greet or offer tea and coffee. When someone merged from the kitchen, extravagant gestures were required to fill our mugs. Whilst accepting that we'd descended for breakfast at (but not after) the end of the advertised breakfast time, this was no excuse for dehydrated bacon and sausage, rock-hard black pudding and fried eggs, swimming in oil, which were completely solid and rubbery. As if this wasn't enough, the picture window gave a panoramic view of the bins being emptied into the refuse vehicle a seemingly interminable process. We spent the day on the hills and returned to find, as before, smokers decorating the front steps an undignified sight, but probably unavoidable given the smoking ban and the apparent shortage of alternative places to indulge in tobacco. Breakfast on the following day was better inasmuch as the cooked offering was palatable, although the fruit was only partially thawed. Large chunks of frozen raspberry are not pleasant although the hot bowls straight from the dishwasher helped. It was a shame that the cooked breakfast was on cold plates. Front desk security was poor I was given an additional key card for our room on request with no suggestion of interrogation as to whether I had any entitlement. Will we be staying again? Well it certainly wouldn't be our first choice for this lovely part of Worcestershire.

The bathroom has a bubble bathtub, marble floors and walls and a separate toilet, the room is spacious and with a victorian golden style with a window facing the river and the nice backyard. Breakfast is amazing, with lots of different fruits, tea, coffe and fresh orange juice and full english with all you need to not have lunch at all!!! They have been very kind with us, giving us options, advice and literally taking care of us. This stay was special, and the best thing was the price. We were stunned, didnt expect that much for the price we paid but oh well, what can you expect from a place that has been rated EXCELLENT by 120/130 people on Tripadvisor???? It had to be the right choice. It was simply perfect and we will always recommend you.

Complimentary refrigerator/mini bar, tea, coffee (Nespresso machine), and shortbread tea cookies! Complimentary breakfast - hot breakfast options include eggs benedict or a full English breakfast. Great way to start the morning The overall layout of the hotel is spacious and airy, almost spa-like. Cons: The only laundry service is per piece. Cost quickly adds up. They offered a little iPod loaded with hotel information and things to see in the area. It's a nice touch, but mine was broken. When I talked to the front desk about it, they said they would fix it but for the 2 weeks I was there, it never improved. This is a little further removed from the downtown area. Add an extra 5 min of walking to get to more of the downtown shops and restaurants.
