I'm giving this hotel a 4 star rating because I feel they are constantly working on improving their facilities with very little resources in terms of staff.
The hotel is historically interesting beautiful Georgian facade, 3 stories with some interesting Victorian features inside, especially the staircase and skylights. It is directly across the street from the promenade and park and around the corner from a street that contains many upscale shops and also one of The Ivy restaurants. Great location.
They have a conservatory in the rear where breakfast is served, plus a really nice outdoor area for when the weather is nice.
The breakfast is quite good, not to an extensive offering but they also do breakfast to order with some Greek offerings to give some respite from the usual full British Breakfast stodge.
The rooms have been updated some more than others, if I was there again, I would choose a room towards the back, or higher up, since there seems to be quite a few musical events across the street at night.
The staff were very helpful and went above and beyond in providing excellent service.
I would bet in a few years with increased staffing and resources it will be a fantastic place to stay, I certainly enjoyed my stay. read more
