    Half a dozen for $12
    Lin H.

These are really fresh and so delicious. The base (raised) is so fluffy and has a great texture to it. My favourite was the blueberry filled, but honestly all of them are great!! Check their website for the donut menu of the month. I think they change it every month but keep the classics! It was $12 for half a dozen and $22 for a dozen. They are really worth it to try! Make sure you go earlier, the earlier the better! I went at around 1pm on a Sunday and their vanilla bean glazed and the cinnamon sugar was sold out. It sucks I couldn't try those but looking forward to going back again!

Amazing; you can really taste the freshness! Tried the Earl Grey Dip today, which did not disappoint. The Earl Grey flavour really comes through, and works really well with the white chocolate curls and dollop of whipped cream on top. These donuts are worth their price for sure!

    Toffee doughnut.

I got overwhelmed from all the flavours they had, that I had to order each of every single one (about a dozen) and oh my gosh..

They didn't have any March specials or anything; I love a seasonal or limited drink. They have your common cafe options and flavored syrups to choose from, along with a variety of tea. The server was very kind and was willing to think up something unique for me when I asked if they had any specials. I went with a hot classic Hazelnut latte. The coffee was creamy, not too sweet, and the hazelnut was subtle. They had different pastries, sandwiches, and cakes to choose from. I got a bacon egg croissant sandwich, which they kindly heated up. I really liked the croissant they used; it wasn't so flaky that with every bite I was making a mess. The tomato jam they used was sweet but paired really well with the ingredients! Honestly would love to try to recreate this at home because it was just that good. It was a warm cozy place, small area with a small side table with about 3-4 bar stools; it's connected to the restaurant (The Bauer Kitchen). This was a pleasant first visit and would definitely come again.

Environment: The cafe is located a little bit west of the Charles Terminal, probably around 20mins walk, but the 7 bus stop is right in front of the store. I immediately saw the array of cakes and other bakery items upon walking in the door. The atmosphere at the bakery was great, suitable for sitting down and grabbing some coffee and treats with friends. There doesn't seem to be many students visiting due to the distance from schools, so it's more of a local favourite. Food: I got their signature Tiramisu, which was $3.10, pretty decent price in my opinion. My friend got the cheesecake which I believe was $3.50. The portions of the cakes were pretty big too. The Tiramisu definitely lived up to my expectation, and I especially loved how smooth and flavourful the mousse part was. Would definitely come back again for their Tiramisu and maybe next time I will try out their Portugese egg tarts as well!

Dough bits are Arabic doughnuts fried into ball shapes and drizzled with a variety of toppings. I was extremely excited when I heard a place like this opened. It was a Thursday afternoon when I went. Restaurant was empty. One employee came out to man the front of both food stands. I ordered a pack of 30 and asked for it to be freshly made as the pile they had at the back looked like it's been sitting for a little bit. 45 minutes later I received my order. I'm not sure how the website says they make a fresh batch every 15 minutes when it took them 45 minutes to make one batch... The dough bits itself smelled really good. The outside was crispy. The inside was chewy and dense... not what I was expecting for a doughbit - and yes, I've had similar Arabic doughnuts before and this is far from it. It wasn't fluffy. It was very chewy. It was kind of hard to swallow to be honest. I was extremely disappointed with my visit. Hopefully they can tweak up their menu and hire more staff :( so much potential for a spot like this...

The parking lots is usually full, but there is free street parking across the road. Just drive around and see where everyone is parking. The smokehouse has large seating on the ground floor and event space on the upper. There are lots of tables and booths to seat any party size, they also take reservations. We went with 6 people and all around us were groups. The main area seems to be able to sit 50+ at least. Service staff are great, they refill and provide all the containers you'll need to get going. We ordered the Family Deal and couldn't finish. Most people have take out bags when they leave. It's that type of place. - we got the 1 lb pulled pork, 6 smoked chicken wings, beef brisket, and full rack of ribs - mac & cheese, red beans & rice, dilly coleslaw - sweet potato fries, and tater tots It took about 30+ mins for the food to come out since they needed to put everything together. We finished maybe 40% of it. The rest were another two meals at home. Over the years, the price has gone up considerably, but the quality and quantity is still a great value. Definitely bring a group and any visitors from out of town. From previous visits their pig tails, sausage are also great. My favorite is the ribs, mac & cheese, red beans & rice, and the tater tots though. Definitely will need to try their fried chicken and Back of House pizza (attached outside for takeout only) next time.
