BUT THEN I learned about Reynolds Advanced Materials! I first made the 2+ hour drive there to buy in-person. Not only did I get greeted and helped by a friendly staff member, but they also gave me a couple sample products to try out. They had everything I could ever need. Of course, I can't make that two hour drive whenever I need Smooth-on, so I order from RAM Detroit directly now, and they not only have FREE SHIPPING but apparently I live close enough to receive my purchases THE NEXT DAY via FedEx. Not a very friendly person. Tried to tell me it was more than what I scanned. Basically, sounded like he didn't believe me!! So I scanned it in FRONT of him like THREE TIMES-as after the first time he still refused it. Ended up calling over the manager(also not friendly-young female). So then she tries to say it's an online price-which MY MICHAELS I go to in LAPEER has never had an issue with by the way as THEY say it's allowed. Anyway-she ended up doing it, and I told her that if your not going to have scanners in your store & people are using the MICHAELS APP to scan what they want to buy, then what's the problem? It is literally here is a binder how much. Then they take every single card out so you stand there putting everything back like you are the problem. They offered me one dollar for full arts. I had about one hundred forty of them. I asked for one fifty which was more than fair since two of the cards alone were worth over one hundred twenty. The response I got was just why. They also own the shop in Clawson which somehow has even less inventory and even worse customer service. I watched a customer bring in a binder with vintage cards and other great stuff. The owner offered fifty dollars. It was a joke. I said I would at least look at it and he told me not in his store. I said fine I can look outside. He said no again. When I said that I just do not want to see them rip off nice people the way they tried to rip me off at the other shop he told me to get out and took back the one hundred fifty plus cards I was about to buy. If you go here only buy sealed and do not let them hassle you. They know when someone is strapped and they try to take advantage. I would never come back after how I was treated. Although our shopping experience was good, I didn't find any yarn that I wanted or any yarn priced better than Joann's. The yarn selection was smaller than I expected. The store layout wasn't the easiest to navigate, but I managed to find my way around. The self-checkout was a pleasant surprise, allowing us to check out quickly and get back to our movie. As soon as we walked in, we spotted a clearance rack filled with 17oz Yankee Candle style large jar candles. Originally priced at around $12, they were marked down to $2.50! We couldn't resist grabbing one and chose the Sea Mist scent, which we thought smelled the best. I would recommend Michael's to others. They offer a variety of craft-friendly and (some) everyday items at economical prices.

I had a diamond encrusted diving watch that they couldnt take (it's scratched to heck and not worth what I paid now, not their fault, I wore it constantly). They were able to do the complicated resizing for FREE! It fits again so I just have to send it out for a battery replacement. We took my 6 year old son there and while they were resizing my watch he asked if they had any square coins. One of the gentlemen went into the back and came out with three coins from Aruba. When I asked how much he told me they were FREE since they were for a young numismatic collector. My son has autism and this meant the world to him!!! I will definitely be returning to sell more metal! They treated us like family. I wish more local coin shops were like this.
