Many of my guests were commenting to me how healthy and fabulous the flowers at my wedding were. The bouquet I had at my wedding was breathtaking and they do not skimp on the flowers. It was honestly an arm workout for me to hold the most gorgeous bouquet I could ever dream of. Ala and Emily were beyond fabulous to work with. Melissa at Debbie's Designs is superb. I wasn't really one of those brides who was super into the flowers / decor. We discussed a few general thoughts/ideas and showed her a few photos on pinterest, and she artfully customized our centerpieces (branches, succulents, candles), bouquets (peonies & roses), chuppah, and other details. In addition to the standard flowers/decor items, which were all stunning, Melissa and her team created 2 particularly noteworthy pieces. They constructed an adorable dog house to hold our cards, in place of a stereotypical bird cage or suitcase. They also put together a flower arrangement in the shape of two dogs, which was even better than the ones I saw on pinterest. Bottom line - they can do pretty much anything you can conceive of! Side note: My husband and I have 2 dogs, who we basically treat like our children. Melissa was kind enough to let them come to our meetings with her - she's a big dog person as well. They loved running around the new Debbie's Designs office, and they REALLY love their new, life-size dog house :) read more

As a vendor in the industry, previous brides of mine had told me that the flowers will be beautiful- but not what you asked for. Taking that into consideration because I HAD to use this company, I couldn't have been more detailed with my requests. I had all of my photo inspiration and information documented in emails as well as in person meetings. I was promised so many things that were not delivered. THE ONE AND ONLY CHAOS AND DISAPPOINTMENT I had on my wedding day were my flowers. Because of this, my photos were cut short with friends and family (I had to sign with the photographer so they weren't liable for the small amount of photos I had) and my nerves throughout the roof right before walking down the aisle. My bouquet, the bridesmaids bouquets, and the boutonnieres were so wrong. I had a creme white and blush theme. I was surprised with Hawaiian purple orchids in the fall. The unprofessionalism, showing up late to meetings, little to no communication, and not delivering to expectation for the price you pay- is not worth your time on the biggest day of your life. Orhan gave back money after apologizing for all of his wrongs. But that still doesn't make up for the stress he caused. Kudos to the women of this company that keeps Orhan afloat. read more

They spent so much time with us to decide exactly what we wanted, and produced bouquets that were even better than I could have imagined. Orhan made my reception venue look like something out of a wedding dream. The candelabras were perfectly matched with the purple hydrangeas, the cherry trees were beautifully set up along with the tall floating candle vases, and it was everything I had imagined. Everyone kept complimenting me on how beautiful the venue was and I was quite in awe when I first saw everything. I just wish I had more time to take it all in. The only reason why this update isn't 5 stars is because my bouquet and the boutineers barely resembled what I had asked for, despite providing Orhan a complete deck with photos of what I exactly wanted. However, I'm not a huge flower girl, so it didn't bother me so much. I didn't even keep my bouquet after the photos and would have disposed of it if my photographer didn't insist that I keep it for the duration of the shoot. There was a bit of chaos when the bouquets didn't show up at the hotel, but Orhan quickly showed up at the church to hand them off to us. The altar flowers at the church were very tastefully done. Working with Orhan was stress-free and easy, especially if you have a solid idea of what're looking for and know exactly what your budget is. Debbie's Designs was the florist for our wedding earlier in June 2019. We really enjoyed working with Orhan and his team. Everyone very accommodating and flexible, worked within our budget and still delivered the vision we had in mind for our wedding. For the day of our wedding, we LOVED our personal flowers and the birch arch used for our ceremony. My bridal bouquet was gorgeous and complimented my dress so well. I was so happy with how well it also complimented my husband's boutonniere! The bridesmaids bouquets were also so lovely and went well with the boutonnieres worn by the groomsmen. For our ceremony, the birch arch was so pretty and was perfect for the outdoor ceremony we had. All the flowers were in perfect harmony with the color scheme we had for our wedding. The Debbie's Designs team is AMAZING! My husband and I used Debbie's for our wedding a few weeks ago and could not have been happier with the results! Orhan, Emily, Louise and Natalie were all fantastic to work with and so extremely patient and kind from beginning to end. I had a lot of different floral needs for my wedding (two very large ceremony altar pieces and aisle flowers plus cocktail hour room arrangements, escort card table arrangement, staircase florals, as well 10 high and 10 low table centerpieces and our personals). Every piece was beautiful and exactly how I hoped they would be. They also happily moved all the ceremony flowers from the church after the ceremony to my reception venue for re-purposing there (this saved us a considerable amount of money). HORRIBLE. Heartbroken. Disgusted. They will promise you everything you ask for, take your down payment and then no communication. They reuse old products and try to pass them off as new. I chose this company based on the reviews I read on The Knot but I have no idea how people were satisfied unless they are being paid to write a good review. Planning a wedding is supposed to be a happy fun time and that was all taken away with the poor service. I contacted this company for an event I was planning. I came prepared with images and pin boards of all I had dreamed of and more. They showed me some pretty lackluster designs that looked like they had been thrown together last minute. Even including some flowers that were on my DON'T USE list. After redoing boards for inspiration thinking maybe I wasn't getting my ideas across - I was presented with the same designs I had seen prior with little to no changes.. Although Debbie was personable and easy to work with, I cannot recommend Debbie's Designs. My daughter's wedding was in September 2017, I began meeting with Debbie a year prior to the wedding and was very clear and explicit in the details of what we wanted. Debbie and I agreed, a contract was signed and everything was clearly defined. Unbeknownst to me, Debbie moved to California somewhere in the middle of the year and put her son in charge of the business. She never notified me of this and months later I learned about it through word of mouth. She continued to meet with me when she flew in from California so all of my dealings and finalizing of plans was still done with her. When I asked Debbie about her move, she assured me that her son Orhan would work the party and that everything was reviewed with him and he was prepared. This clearly was not the case. I did not receive the flowers and decorations we had agreed upon. The day of the wedding Debbie's staff came and went quickly. By the time we arrived to take pictures, they were already gone and we had to accept what was done. I wrote to Debbie afterwards and sent her pictures after I received them from the photographer to point out the discrepancies between what we agreed on in the contract and what was provided. She agreed that I did not get what we had agreed on and said she would discuss it with her son and I would hear from him. I never heard from him or from Debbie again. I tried Debbie one more time to follow up and she said to email her son, clearly disowning the transaction. My signed contract was with Debbie and she did not stand by that agreement. I do not feel that was an honorable way to handle the situation and I would most certainly not recommend Orhan who now appears to be running the business. read more

Can't tell you how excited I was to work with Melissa at Debbies Design. The meetings I always left feeling excited and that she really understood the look of what I was going for. Unfortunately I was DISAPPOINTED in the end. The centerpieces were the thing my husband and I would tell everyone "wait until you see these, the the one thing he actually prided himself as "his thing" for the wedding. He closed his business down for the whole day, we drove over an hour and a half away to see what the centerpieces would look like. We loved them! So Big and gaudy like we wanted. Well when it came to wedding day, they weren't even half the size of what we agreed on, considering having more to work with because we had 5 more tables we didn't fill that Melissa said she would use to make them even bigger! Definitely BAIT AND SWITCHED. Wedding day I brought it up, ending up having to check twice if they got bigger and they didn't, so I finally just said they were fine because it was starting to ruin my day. Not only that, they spelled my name wrong on the napkins and no one told me from their team, she changed the reception table flower lay out and didn't tell me and barely any petals at my ceremony like we agreed, she blamed the wind on a non windy day. Emailed disappointment and she emailed someone will call me, haven't gotten the call. My husband being business owner, it wouldn't sit right with him if a customer was upset like this, very unprofessional especially for the type of money we spent with them. I feel like I was just another paycheck. There slightl other issues I had but those were the major ones. All I want to know is why werent they as big the first time around like we agreed on ? Why didn't anyone tell me about the napkin miss spelling so they wouldn't haven been passed out? I'm not one to even write a bad review but the fact that them seem to not care about my unhappiness to not even give me a call bothers me the most. read more

HOLY MOLY where I do begin. Melissa at Debbie's Designs is an ARTIST. She completely transformed my wedding and I am eternally grateful. Going into this process, I knew nothing about flowers. Melissa made our meetings not just fun, but so exciting. Our meetings were a blast and she BLEW US AWAY with her arrangements. Our Chuppah (Jewish wedding canopy) was breathtaking, our centerpieces were jaw-dropping, our bouquets were the most vibrant and perfect arrangements you have ever seen.
