waffle and sausage

Bob and Debbie have served the area fine food for over 30 years. Their staff is top notch and I think today is a good day to see them again.

Turkey club..

Had the turkey club sandwich and it was really good.. Very nice service ppl are really nice.. The wait was not that long either..

They use sausage patties for their gravy... my least favorite type of sausage. Biscuits aren't made from scratch either.

I'm not a fan... (no pun intended) it's very drafty inside, as they leave the HVAC fans running all the time. It's either hot or drafty, waitress commented it's always hot inside. My server wasn't very attentive for being so slow. Seemed to have a negative view on any of my questions. The sausage gravy is not my style. Owner stated "don't order it again, as it's staying that way..." after I had suggested they need to make their own sausage. The place has been remodeled nicely, but the menu didn't strick me as being at all innovative, such a disappointment. Hopefully the locals will keep them afloat, as they have zero social media, let alone plans for a website?

I ordered the eggs florentine with extra cripsy hash browns. Everything was excellent! Looks like I found a new breakfast spot.

We also order some food to go and a buffet to go. We had 2 buffets in house. The strawberries were bomb! The mash taters and gray was yummy! The chicken noddles was so tasty (homemade too) loved the beef! Biscuits were on key. Will definitely be coming here again next time we blow on threw.

Ok. I have been to a few buffets and you have a lot of kinda warm food and not too cold stuff. Well…read morethe Country Farmhouse gets it right!! The hot items were hot. Not warm. But hot !! A couple kinds of French toast. Scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, country fried steak, bacon, ham, corned beef hash, lots of potato casseroles, waffles, two kids of French toast...it just goes on and on. And then you have a full salad area with fresh fruit !! Oh and did I mention an entire buffet of pastries? Donuts, cinnamon rolls, danishes, muffins. It just kept going !!! Everything was fresh and replenished and delicious. The only thing I'd pass on was the Bloody Mary bar. Not a lot of stuffs. Cold chicken nuggets, bacon, green olives, some sad pickle spears, lemon wedges, celery, kielbasa, that was pretty much it. Would Have like to have seen cheese cubes or maybe some shrimp. But it was not bad, just nothing to write home about. All in all for 20.00 a person for food (I don't remember what the bloody bar was) it was a good deal. And they do it daily, not just on the weekends!!!

The food was incredible! I tried every single item on the buffet and loved all of it. And the staff... just wonderful. The ladies were so welcoming, attentive, and genuinely kind, which made us and our guests feel so comfortable and cared for the entire time. We are so grateful for such a lovely experience and will absolutely be back. But next time we'll be back to enjoy a peaceful brunch without also hosting 25 people Highly, highly recommend!

I was back in town visiting for a wedding and my host recommended G&S for brunch. They are only open eight hours a week and the only time we could get one of their few tables was 9 am sharp. We arrived on time and were the second table seated in a dining room that only contained eight tables. Great music, with classic rock and country played at a moderate level. Servers were all super nice and engaging. I could tell this was a place where the regulars come often and the staff knows them well. I got my OJ and my friend got her coffee. Juice tasted pretty fresh, but I admit I wish it had a little pulp. Right away we headed up to the buffet line and it was so amazing. Herb and cheese frittata, thick cut bacon, thick sausage patties, cheesy hash browns, banana bread French toast, biscuits, sausage gravy, Caprese salad, cinnamon rolls, raspberry brownies, fruit salad, almond poppyseed scones, chocolate chip cookies... Everything I tried was excellent. The bacon and sausage were so full of flavor and as I mentioned they were thick, nothing wimpy about this breakfast meat. The French toast really had that nice banana and cinnamon flavor going. Cheeses added richness to the shredded hash brown potatoes. That cinnamon roll was so flaky. I even took some the buttercream frosting on top and spooned it on the French toast bake and that only made it even more amazing. I almost felt sorry for the fruit salad of blueberries, red grapes, and honeydew! 23 dollars was a pretty solid deal, especially since it was unlimited portions. I've had a few brunch buffets, but this absolutely ranks in the top 2 or 3 I have ever had.

I was in town for work and this place was recommended to me by someone I was working with. I'm…read moresoooo glad they did. The restaurant as very clean and the staff were very friendly but the food will be the reason I return if I'm ever back in the area again. The menu is very diverse. It has just about everything on it. I had not had a hot meal that didn't come out of a box and a microwave for a few days. I ordered the chicken tenders. It came with fries and soup. You could choose from French Onion or Chicken & Rice. I chose the chicken & rice. I should've just ordered the soup because the chicken & rice hit the spot. It tasted homemade and it was hot on a VERY cold day. I hadn't ordered chicken tenders in awhile because they are so common and rather blah. These were different though. They were battered in something that was like tempura. They were excellent. My only complaint is that I had too much food and couldn't eat them all. I've also gotten to where fries don't excite me any more. They are often bland. While these were incredible, they weren't bland and were very good. I paid with cash which knocked 3.5% off my bill, so get some cash before you go. The cost was reasonable as well. In total, my meal was just under $14. This was a great meal! Highly recommend!

There were only two high school-aged employees working and just one other customer in the entire place -- it wasn't busy. There's no excuse for zero service under those conditions. We finally walked out. If you can't manage basic customer service with almost no customers, that's a serious problem.
