I used the yelp suggested vendors for quotes along with a few highly rated or close geographically for a total of 8 quotes. The service requested was for a new key FOB for an auto. ( I had changed the battery but it still didn't work.) Dean's quote came in second for price missing first by a hair. He also was the closest geographically to me. What really moved the needle was him asking questions and giving me options. That did it for me and I told him to come on down. Dean arrived within 30 minutes and proceeded to show me my options. He also at my request tried to reprogram the old FOB which didn't work but I appreciate the effort. He did everything well and professional with 40 years experience. He is very knowledgeable and didn't mind me chatting while he worked. My vehicle was older so by getting a stand alone FOB along with an backup emergency steel key saved me 30 percent. (This solution doesn't work with all vehicles) My other advice is unless its a real emergency try to go with normal business hours. I love how he set up his truck which was neat and clean and very well organized. Also keep in mind he is a one man operation which is a blessing and a curse. Just got a Honda key copied by Dean and I am very happy with the service I received. Prior to contacting Dean, I got a spare Honda key copied at Home Depot (for a 90's Honda so no need for transponder copying, just the metal key blank). However, either the employee at Home Depot or the machinery they use was faulty and ruined the new key I needed to get copied. As a result, I contacted several locksmiths in the area (via Yelp messaging/estimate service) and Deans provided the lowest estimate so I arranged for a future time to meet whenever he had a job closer to my area. Today was the day that worked out best for Dean and I and after a few short minutes of copying my new key blank and testing it out, all was successful. He even attempted to repair the key that was ruined by Home Depot but was unable to (but the fact that he even tried was appreciated). I will be using Dean for all of my future key repairs/locksmithing needs and highly recommend him for his excellent service and more than fair prices. read more

Service above and beyond! We contacted Dean for locksmith services to have a replacement key FOB programmed for our 2021 Toyota Highlander. Since we already purchased the key FOB, it would simply require a locksmith to program the key with our vehicle. After reaching out to several locksmiths, Dean was the most responsive and gave the best quote from among several area locksmiths. When Dean tried to program the key FOB we provided, it wouldn't work. He then stated he would return with another aftermarket key FOB and attempt it again. After another failed attempt, Dean contacted us a few days later and said he obtained another key FOB which would be half the cost of the Toyota OEM key FOB. He again came out and arrived at the time he stated and programmed the key within 15 minutes. He then proceeded to cut the key blade. Fantastic service!
