Highly recommend! John came out to do an emergency repair for us and it turned out so much faster, cheaper, and better than we expected! While he was there I had him quote a new door and opener which we decided to have installed a few months later. That work was just finished and we are very happy with the results. Our new door is very good quality and is such an upgrade for our home. read more

Absolutely fantastic service from the start. I called and made an appointment for garage door service on Friday 7/11/2025 and was placed on the schedule for Tuesday 7/15:2025. The receptionist was polite and super helpful. John (super nice guy) the service tech showed up at exactly 08:00 (appointment time) and quickly assessed the problem. The door was fixed quickly. When it came time to pay, I assumed the service would cost about $350ish. When John said the bill was $120 I was floored (in a good way). Great service in terms of timeliness, great service in terms of quality of work, and super great Price. I definitely recommend (Highly recommend) Deans Door Service. read more

My aunt had previously used Dean to replace the motor on her garage door and give it a tune up. She loved it so when we moved into our new home we wanted to replace our garage door motor and chose Dean. He gave us a great new motor and exterior keypad and fixed our deadbolt and the weather stripping. While servicing our door, he noticed that the brackets holding it to the ceiling were in bad shape and fixed it for us quickly so it wouldn't fall on us! Great pricing and great service! read more

Saturday afternoon one of our springs on our garage door broke. Of course my car was inside. I called Deans Door Service and spoke to Mrs. Deans who was able to schedule us for the next morning! John Deans arrived right on time and within less than an hour had us back operational! He also lubricates everything, and the door opens so smoothly and quietly! I have been having him come out for around 20 years taking care of all of my garage needs. Several others in our neighborhood also use his services. Couldn't be happier with his timely services and professionalism. read more

We lean on Dean's -- when we have issues with garage door problems we reach out to Dean's and are never disappointed.

Deans Door Service is awesome! Margo got me scheduled within 24 hours and called me the day of to me the technician was on his way. He arrived on time, was super polite, explained what he needed to do to fix the problem and got it all taken care of. Very satisfied with Deans Door Service and absolutely them! read more

We went to three vendors in our area for quotes and John came back with a reasonable quote while also outlining and setting expectations given the constraints around supply chain. He pointed out some things related to installation that the other vendors had not. I largely think this is due to the fact that he does everything himself (take down and install). Installation was very timely, professional, and clean. He explained everything thoroughly and he and Margot have been super responsive whenever anything needed to be tweaked post installation. I highly recommend them for excellent and high quality work. read more

My wife had a slight misunderstanding with our garage door on her way to work one morning. It was immediately apparent that we needed professional help quickly... After some quick research we contacted Deans' Door Service. As it turned out Mr. Deans was just leaving for another scheduled appointment, but since we were nearby he swung by our place first and was able to patch the door back together in a matter of about 20 minutes. John was very friendly and clearly knew his business. Although he was able to make it work, he advised us that our door was bent up pretty badly and should be replaced, as it was borderline unsafe. Knowing that it was a cheap-a** builder's grade door that we had never liked, we asked him for a recommendation for a new door. The upshot was, we went ahead and bought a new insulated steel door, with an amazingly quiet new LiftMaster opener. John gave us a great deal and installed it in about half a day. We are extremely pleased with the new system and would highly recommend this company. read more

After one of our 15 year old LiftMaster power garage door openers failed I went on-line to find a highly recommended provider to provide replacements. I called Deans' Door Service and from the moment they answered the phone to completion of the work every aspect of the experience has been to top-notch. John the owner performs all the service and installation and is quite knowledgable and thorough. I was provided with an initial estimate to replace both garage door units, his pricing was reasonable and very competitive. Upon making his initial inspection John recommend that additional support was added to each door due to improper installation from the prior contractor. Everything was completed within budget and now we have two new belt-driven LiftMaster units which are much smoother and quieter than those we replaced. Last note, Dean's Doors is a top-notch company who was responsive, thorough, and prompt for our appointment. I would highly recommend them if you need any garage door service or replacement. One last note: Cash or Checks only which allows them to offer competitive prices. read more

I highly recommend Dean's Door Service for your garage door service needs. I recently had them replace two torsion springs on my garage door. The customer service when arranging the visit was outstanding, as was John Dean's knowledge and thoroughness in doing the job. I called one day and they did the repair the next day. Mr. Dean recognized that the springs on our door were too strong and replaced them with the right ones. He also made several adjustments to the garage door opener to optimize its functionality. Also, I called four garage door companies to price the repair and he was quite a bit cheaper than everyone else. If you are looking for outstanding quality, customer service and price, call Dean's! read more

I called Deans' door service and they came out the next day. The door would not stay closed and fixed that along with the light and wall button. He was a real gentleman. Very reasonably priced. We will definitely use his service again. read more

I can not comment on their ability to do a job, but I can comment on how the customer service experience before a job went. They had specific instructions from the landlord on contacting him first, but did not. We had a simple misunderstanding that escalated into the owner saying "You think you're talking to a nobody, you can have someone else do the job." and then she hung up! A little grace for misunderstanding on both ends could have really made this situation a great win. Sorry it ended like this and that the owner could not see that a customer was willing to move past even their end of a misunderstanding. Sad day folks... I wouldn't feel comfortable with having them in my house after this. read more

I had used Deans Door Service for repairing a door that fell off the tracks - service was excellent on that call. Subsequently when I decided to replace (and upgrade) both doors and openers for security reasons I got a very competitive bid from Mr Dean. He showed up on time, went about his work methodically and completed the installation of two new doors and openers in impressively professional manner. After he had loaded the old doors and openers on his truck and made some final calking and paint touch ups (above expectations) he provided a very thorough training session on the system. Mr Dean is a first rate professional and craftsman - his pricing is both fair and competitive. Service earned 5 stars and highest recommendation. read more

Excellent service. Replaced both springs for me when one broke. Also adjusted the door including adding additional attaching hardware that the builder failed to install. Door operates smoother and quieter than it ever has. It was very nice getting great service at a fair price don't find that too often. read more

Outstanding customer service. John is quick, professional, reasonable and honest. I'll be calling back when we upgrade! :)

FABULOUS Service! I was beyond impressed from start to finish. Immediately answered my initial phone call, the woman I spoke with was very helpful and kind. They were able to come the next day and arrived precisely on time, even called when they were 10 minutes away. The problem was diagnosed quickly and we discussed a repair and possible replacement of the garage door opener (over 15 yrs old). Agreed on a plan of action and it was just what he thought it was. Quick repair, lots of testing, replaced bulbs and made lots of adjustments. Door was working perfectly when he finished and I was charged exactly what he told me it would to replace the broken part. Saved a lot over replacing the opener. Will recommend to everyone I know. (Not sure why Yelp says I am in San Francisco...I'm in Warrenton VA! read more

Outstanding outstanding. I got new doors for my x-mas present recently and he did an outstanding job. Very professional and really pays attention to detail. Gave a good fair price. He also replaced some rotten wood around the frame and did a great job with that. It was too cold to put caulking around the wood that day. He volunteered to come back when it was warmer and sure enough he was a man of his word. All I can say is great job!! read more

The receptionist is very rudy and impersonal. Did not show up for an appointment once scheduled and then acted like they did not need any more business when I called to reschedule. Getting too busy for new business is the impression I got. read more
