Clear skies with little light infiltration by night allow you to see the Milky Way and thousands more stars than in more populous places. Trails around the cabin will let you hike, bike, or drive through nature, admiring trees, flowers, birds (like the beautiful, red vermilion flycatcher) and if you're lucky, a bugling elk or few. Sit by the pond and listen to the bullfrogs, watch the hummingbirds, listen to the cows that might be sharing the ranch with you. Just don't forget to close the gates! The ranch managers, Cindy and Mike, will provide you with a comfortable cabin, clean and fully-appointed for your needs. They're attentive should you need anything but will otherwise grant you the privacy a mountain cabin retreat should offer. Open the shades for some wonderful views; the windows for some country-fresh air; or light a fire in the fireplace for some romantic evenings in. They can also provide you with plenty of info for things to do in Young and the nearby areas. Are you into wine? Visit the local vineyard and winery for a tasting. Stop into the local diner for a wonderful home-style meal. Into off-roading or horseback riding? Talk to Cindy and Mike, they can point you in the right direction for some adventure. the available Wifi is convenient in a pinch for those who want to stay connected some... but here at the Ranch, set the tech aside (unless it's a camera) and get out for a sunrise walk or a sunset brew.

It is a quaint old school Arizona bed and breakfast with the comforts of home. Our hostess, Joy was just a treat giving us good suggestions for dinner in Apache Junction, made us feel as comfortable as could be in one of her cabins, (the tack room from the ranch). Our breakfast was in the refrigerator in our room and was banana bread, orange juice, coffee, fresh fruit, trail mix for the hike, yogurt, pretzels, really very nice. You can enjoy the front porch to watch the sunset in the west or sit on the patio behind the cabin and view the mountains to the east. There is a trail that leaves right from her property that connects to the Flat Iron trail and Siphon Draw trail. We woke in the morning to the Flat Iron right out of our window, mule deer grazing 15 feet from our cabin. For a unique, fun, pleasant, rustic experience give Mean While Back at the Ranch B&B a try....you'll like it!

This no frills quaint place is a perfect escape from any busy city lifestyle...and makes a perfect hub for hiking some of the most beautiful trails. It's nonstop work - from the early morning prep for gourmet breakfasts to the meticulous cleaning, thoughtful decorating, and personalized hosting that makes guests feel truly welcomed. It's exhausting, but when done right, it's magical. That's why we're so thrilled to share our experience at the Sheridan House Inn. This B&B doesn't just meet the high standards of the industry; it soars far above and beyond them. From the moment we arrived, the attention to detail was evident. The accommodations are among the best we've ever encountered - luxurious, spotlessly clean rooms with premium linens, comfortable beds that invite deep sleep, and thoughtful amenities that show the owners truly care about guest comfort. The Inn itself creates a warm, inviting environment that's relaxing yet elegant, the kind of atmosphere that's hard to achieve but makes all the difference. And the food? Outstanding. The breakfasts are gourmet masterpieces - fresh, creative, and delicious, prepared with obvious passion and skill. But what truly sets the Sheridan House apart and elevates it above and beyond any other B&B we've ever stayed are the exceptional dinners they offer. These are not your typical B&B fare; they're multi-course Michelin-style quality meals that are memorable, beautifully presented, and an absolute highlight of the stay. The location in the charming town of Williams is another huge plus. Williams is a great place to visit - from exploring the historic Route 66 vibe and gateway access to the Grand Canyon, to unique shops, railroads, wildlife parks, and hiking trails. The hosts go all out without making it feel forced - they're genuinely hospitable, anticipating needs and sharing local insights that enhance the stay. This level of dedication is rare and deserves recognition. Is it worth the money? Absolutely, and then some. In a world of cookie-cutter hotels and average B&Bs, the Sheridan House delivers great value through an unparalleled experience. If you're looking for the best bed-and-breakfast getaway - especially in the Southwest - it'd be hard, if not impossible, to beat this one. Highly recommended without reservation. Thank you to the wonderful owners, Debby & Mark, for keeping the spirit of true B&B hospitality alive and thriving.

Stay away! Dishonest owner!…read more If you read this entire post, thank you. It is long but I thought carefully before I posted because after reading previous Yelp and Google reviews, I see the owner thoughtfully replies and defends her property, while trying to discount the feelings of the reviewer whenever something negative is posted. On 8/1/24 I booked a stay at Arizona Mountain Cabins and Inn (which I will shorten to AZMCI going forward) through my credit card's points website which uses Expedia. The price point that came up for Cabin 9 from 8/16-8/18 was $72 per night. I booked it easily enough. That evening I received an email from the owner, Mary. You can read screenshot below, but basically she said there was a pricing error beyond her control, and wanted to know if I still want the reservation at $172 per night. It was late and I did not respond. The next day I received three missed phone calls and one voicemail from AZMCI. I called Expedia twice that day first, told them the situation and asked if AZMCI was required to honor the price. Both people I spoke with said the stay was already paid for, so there are no issues with the price. I then called AZMCI and talked briefly with someone before Mary came on the phone. Our conversation was 7 minutes long. I was very calm when speaking with her. Told her that this was not the first time I had an issue booking with them. The last time was before Covid and I booked a one night stay over a weekend. I remember getting a call soon after and whoever I spoke with at the time said it was a two-night minimum and asked if I still want the reservation. I was not able to stay more than one night at the time, so I cancelled it. When I told this to Mary, she did not seem phased by my previous experience, nor my current experience and only about her bottom line. Mary did say that $72 would not even pay for the cleaning. She did offer me a stay in the lodge and a reduced rate, which I also declined because I was bringing my dogs and they are not allowed in the lodge. In the end, I told her I need to think about it and I will be in contact. In 8/3/24, I replied to Mary's email where I said she should make it right (see image). On 8/5/24, I replied simply saying, 'I am sure you had a busy weekend. Please reply.' I waited longer. Later on 8/5/24, I receive an email from Expedia say that I have been banned (see image). I called Expedia and they contacted AZMCI because they still saw the reservation in the system still. The agent told me that I cannot stay at their property because I was banned back in 2018. If I was banned, why would she offer me another room and ask me if I still wanted the reservation? Mary was not able to cancel my reservation, so she tried to manipulate me into doing myself. When I wouldn't budge, she made up that I was banned. Hey, I know Mary has a business to run and a bottom line, but as the owner, she had the power to make it right for the guest. I hope you think again before booking this property. And Mary, I eagerly await your response and hope you are honest in what you say. Without guests, you are nothing but empty cabins.
