My husband surprised me with this cabin for our Anniversary! This was definitely a 10/10! Super…read morequiet, had all the necessities of BBQing and cooking! So close to a couple lakes and an overall perfect location! We came from 97 degrees to the 60s! My ONLY complaints were the shower head () it was awful! And the satellite didn't work very well so no TV which was fine but for families with kids might be an issue. But overall definite recommendation!

The area is truly beautiful. And there is direct access to the forest. Next to this site is a…read moregated community so you do hear some minimal noise. The cabin was nice although I do think there should be an investment in updating. None of our glasses matched and most were plastic tumbler type. Our cabin was for 4 and yes, there were 4 folks, 4 spoons and 4 knives only. A maybe 2 inch circular soap is what was available for both hand washing and bathing. Seems one of the sleeping areas is the living room on a sofabed. The parking area and area around the cabins is very well lit at night - some may have suitable curtains, ours did not but was not as issue for us. There was no information on the cabin, the area, the rules, etc in our cabin which would have been helpful - there also didn't appear to be any onsite assistance anywhere. This is also a dog friendly place although you have to keep them on leash at all time. There is no enclosed area. The biggest negative for me/family was the unevenness of the walkways around the cabin. There a number of dips in the roadway and parking area and it is a steep incline. The kids play area is on a hill and the paved portion is so steep you gain way too much speed walking straight down - gotta zig zag. We both agreed if you had walking difficulties or had a walker, it was going to be challenging to get around. If you are planning a trip, be sure the check the local establishments times. We did not and all in the immediate area were closed Monday-Wednesday - this may just be the time of year though don't know. Be sure to pack what you want/need - although only 20 miles or so to Payson, its a long 20 miles.

I can't rave enough about The Strawberry Inn. I've stayed here many times throughout the years and…read moreit is just the quintessential solo staycation spot, year round. In the winter, I love just staying in the main rooms or any of the cottages and decompressing, relaxing, staying warm. In the summer, it's the perfect area to go on some great hikes (I recommend Highline, Wildcat, and Fossil Creek of course). The rooms/airstreams are immaculate - with a truly relaxing, rejuvenating aesthetic. I've stayed in the queen and king rooms with couch, desk etc as well as the cottage and airstream which have more space and little kitchenettes perfect for making a small breakfast or reheating some leftovers. Service is really top tier- especially considering everything is hands-off, and there's no physic host/ess property manager on site- but Mike the Elk answers promptly and fulfills all reasonable requests to ensure your stay is just about perfect. Highly recommend coming here just for the inn alone- all of the other activities, restaurants and attractions will follow! @azfitfoodfun

We stayed in Airstream #4 and it was perfect. Very private and a nice view. There are some homes nearby but nothing super close. Loved the chairs, fire table, and the hot tub! Even had elk and deer walk right by the campsite while we were there, it's awesome! The inside of the Airstream was nice! Queen size bed, super comfy. Spacious enough with a couch and mini kitchen and fridge. Even had a TV and wifi. The bathroom does not have a door - so if you're coming with friends, beware! There is a Keurig too. I do wish the properties were spaced out from each other more. You are very close to the other rentals. Especially walking around. Saw tons of families so kids definitely could make the trip. You can easily walk up to Windmill Coffee or the PIEbar! Definitely recommend both. The communication with the staff and concierge was very easy and quick responses. We didn't have any issues during our stay. Truly felt like we were able to step away and be on our getaway. It's such a quiet and peaceful area. Couldn't recommend the Strawberry Inn more! We absolutely loved our stay and can't wait to come back!

I recently stayed at your hotel and wanted to share my overwhelmingly positive experience. From the…read moremoment I arrived, I was impressed by the cleanliness and the fresh, updated feel. The hotel has clearly undergone a thoughtful renovation, retaining a charming, unique character while incorporating modern amenities. The rooms themselves were delightful. The towels were incredibly plush and soft, a luxurious touch I particularly appreciated. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, providing a restful and rejuvenating sleep. While the pillows were ok, another option might enhance the experience for some guests. This is a minor detail, however, and didn't detract significantly from my overall enjoyment. Overall, I'd wholeheartedly recommend your hotel to others seeking a blend of modern comfort and unique character. The attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness truly made my stay exceptional. Thank you for providing such a wonderful experience. The check-in process was super easy to call or book online and they send you a code to get to your room so we don't need to deal with anyone As there is no front desk here. I will admit I was a little worried because it's so close to the road. I would worried about that. We did not experience any road noise.
