Great spot for some great espresso drinks!
Hope N.

I stopped in right at closing-a little after - and they were so sweet - he unlocked the door and made me an iced raspberry mocha. Oh. My. God was it good. I wish I would've taken a pic but I slurped it up too fast. I bought a cool tshirt because their name is pretty epic and the material was soft and good quality. Next time I'm in town I'll be popping in to try their food, which looked delicious from the menu. Lots of options! And I love the brick building and cozy atmosphere inside. I'll definitely be back before closing time!

Yelp menu is incorrect! Went in to order a potato breakfast burrito and was told that wasn't on the menu since 2016! Cashier was a blunt man, telling me that they have no control over the Yelp listing and that Yelp had actually stolen money from the business. I looked over the menu and ordered the breadless option, which I think is called the lavish. Pictured below. I'm not the best at figuring if a meal is a good price, the lavish was 9$ and seemingly a two egg wrap with two slices of bacon with cheddar cheese, tomatoes and pepperoncini. Loved the bite with the pepperoncini. Usual saltiness from bacon and cheddar was nice. Lacked flavor otherwise. Boring. The business itself, though, is not boring. The large space is full with literary pictures and references, and with more than half of a dozen patrons dining in- the space was peaceful.

LOVED this coffee shop! The interior is so cute and clean. The staff is friendly. My son had dropped his egg and the cook came back with one for him without even having to ask he was so kind!!! The bagels are sooo good and the coffee is even better! Love this spot 10/10

Very friendly staff, nice quiet place, we did come at 2 PM. Salad was fresh and tasty. The coffee was good.

Hip coffee house located in downtown Moline. It feels like it doesn't belong here because it's too cool, for real. Dead Poet's Espresso has a literature theme going on with Shakespeare and other famous figures. For sure it's good for book nerds. There's also food like bagels and pastries. Came in the morning to get a buzz. It has a list of specialty coffees. These are all made with milk powder so I skipped these. Instead got a latte. It's about $5 for a medium. Then add a bit more for non dairy milk and syrup. Also got a bagel. It's about $3 with a spread. Has cream cheese of course. There's also peanut butter and jelly. Good stop in at breakfast. It's one of the hipper places in town to be honest. This is only open in the morning and afternoons, and it's closed on Sundays.

Super friendly employee who suggested a sandwich I probably never would have ordered and it was delicious! I loved the sweet potato chips served with it too. I came for an early lunch and beat the lunch rush, but it did get busy. During the peak time a man played the piano for patrons, adding to the ambiance. While I ate inside as I need to do some work and have wifi access, there are tables outside that look out on a nice courtyard type area. Easy parking too. Next time I'm in town I will go again!

Still the best! Always one of our first stops when we're in the area. The coffee and breakfast sandwiches are delicious! Cozy ambiance with indoor and outdoor seating. Love when they have someone playing the piano indoors!

As I've walked around Moline, it's a weird feeling that I was the only person on the streets. It seems deserted and so a visit to Dead Poet's Espresso seemed appropriate. While waiting for my espresso and Sweet Southwest Breakfast Wrap (eggs, corn mix, pepperoncini, chipotle cheese curds wrapped in a tomato basil tortilla), I enjoyed the images of dead poets like William Shakespeare and Edgar Allen Poe drinking coffee. The latte was well made. The wrap was creative and filling but it needs some fine tuning on the sauce. Although I was the only patron, I took a look at the piano in the corner and imagined that, at least sometimes, this cafe must fill up with music and people.

Had a couple hours to kill during a business trip to Moline. Checked out Dead Poets for breakfast and coffee. Service and food were awesome. Good gluten free options. I'm normally a basic coffee guy but ordered "the poe" and it was excellent. Will def check out next time I'm in the Quad Cities.

Coolest Decor!

We came in for some lattes and we were pleasantly surprised by all of the flavors! We proceeded to get a Turtle Mocha latte, Coconut latte, and Salted Carmel Latte. The amount of different flavors, sugar free options, and how quickly the drinks came out will definitely bring us back!! Please try this place, the theme is super cute and the scones are great as well.

I want to keep my favorite spot a secret but this place is incredibly good…read more They serve breakfast all day Very decent wine menu Food is consistenly (really) good, arrives fast and hot. If service is a bit slow, give them a break, place is often crowded with tables constantly turning, but they never rush you. When weather permits, there's a nice patio. I keep reading "friendly service". I'd say actually it's a bit brusque. It's midwestern friendly, the blank face kind that's waiting to make sure you're not a jerk, or let you know they don't put up with them. But the service is excellent They should give up the counter seating for customers and call it "kitchen view" imho ha I don't want to say this for fear they raise prices, but very affordable. Tip them well. I've gone all around the menu and the only items I personally don't return to are the flatbreads, just not my thing. I opt instead for their sandwiches, salmon tacos, breakfast items, soups. It's all very good. Thanks, Brew!

I had the BREWschetta and it really hit the spot that I was looking for in a small bite. In particular, the balsamic was delicious! I also had two sour beers (cans) and they were local and great. We had the pleasure of sitting outside in the nice weather and the patio was lively! This place seems to get a lot of attention and rightfully so. On top of it, the staff was attentive the entire time. Out the door we didn't break the bank and left content. I certainly encourage you to give Brew a try if you have never been!

All style, no substance…read more On a daytrip to the Quad Cities, I made a list of places for Emily and I to visit. After pouring over all the possibilities, we settled on getting 392 for our caffeinated needs. We pulled up to a bunch of sidewalk construction but were lucky to find our way inside. Once inside, we were greeted to a really loud, really vibrant coffeehouse. Nay, I wouldn't call this a coffeehouse. It felt more like a jungle gym. The place felt upscale, bougie, and a bit pretentious. We walked up and were greeted by some friendly, if not standoffish, baristas. Emily knew what she wanted beforehand but once she got there, she tried ordering a cold brew with some flavor shots to it. The barista seemed confused and told her she should just order a different item (a blended drink) if that's what she wants. Well, they finally worked it out and Emily got what she wanted. I got my usual iced americano with no troubles. The place was busy not with just kids but there was a business meeting going on. The place was very loud and reminded me of Zion Coffee Bar. Stark white walls with sounds bouncing around. Luckily, Emily and I were making plans to dip out and explore the city with our coffees in hand so we weren't subjected to the volume for too long. The wait time wasn't too long for our coffees with how busy the place was. We waited maybe 10 minutes for our drinks and were very happy to make our way on to the next destination. Maybe we are getting older and hate sound but it's not a place we could've sat and enjoyed a quiet conversation or relaxed to a nice book. As we left, we tried our drinks, and I knew instantly my drink was a bust. The americano was an off-light brown color when it should've been a deep brown. It tasted... off. Emily hates my americanos but she took a willing sip and said that my drink was messed up and couldn't place it either. It's like they used only one shot of espresso for the size; it was too diluted, too not-espresso-y tasting. Emily really enjoyed her cold brew, and we made plans to get coffee somewhere else later in the day to make up for it. I can't say I recommend this particular 392 location due to the weird vibe amongst the baristas and awful Americano/espresso. Maybe it was an off day or maybe that's just how it is. The change from your typical coffeehouse was a nice change of pace, though! I don't get up to the Quad Cities too often but would be willing to try one of their other locations after I make my way through all the other coffeehouses first.

I would hope that the Sorting Hat would seat me in House Coffee…read more Emily and I decided to hit up the Quad Cities as our last hurrah of the year. I made my usual list and she picked the places to go and this coffee house was one of our first stops. We nearly missed it as the parking lot can come up on your pretty fast due to the location but we made it without issue. Upon entering, we were greeted to a nice and pleasant coffeehouse filled with plants and cozy. We got in line and that's when I noticed the Specials menu was Harry Potter themed. I stuck with my usual americano but Emily got the Three Broomsticks. The baristas were super nice and since there were a few people ahead of us, we took the time before our drinks came out to browse the area. In the side area where we sat for awhile is a bookshelf and board game section. I always love to see a coffeehouse lean into board games and books. I believe the books were also 'leave one, take one' so if you need something to read, this place has plenty to pick from. There is also a counter in this area but I didn't really see the purpose for it as there were no menus or anything. Possibly for food but I wasn't for sure. Emily and I chilled in this area for a bit before switching back to the main area. On our way over, Emily grabbed a shirt to take home with her. While we sat there, Emily was in love with the vibes, aesthetics, and plants of the place. But, how were the drinks? Delicious. My americano made up for the last few I had that were weak by being borderline too bitter. I wasn't upset about that at all. I will say that the ice was super compact and filled to the top so the 24oz felt like maybe half that with how quickly it disappeared. I ended up taking the water they had out and topping it off a few times before we left. And how was the Three Broomsticks? Emily said it was incredible with a smile on her face. I took a small sip and I would have to agree. If I had her foam on my americano, it would've been a match in heaven. Coffee House Cafe and Goods was a wonderful stop. I really liked the Harry Potter-themed drinks, I really liked the vibes and friendliness of the place. I just wish getting into the parking lot didn't feel like pulling a move out of a Fast and the Furious movie.
