Service request,vibe, quality it was such a relaxing environment and they take there time

Having a mobility disability is challenging. I've found that most restaurants and other public serving establishments are accommodating; however, this particular nail salon was not as prepared. My husband treated me to a gel manicure and pedicure. It's been more than two years so I was looking forward to it. I've been to this salon a few times in the past. When we arrived, several patrons were ahead of me, so I was told to go to the pedicure station and wait while soaking my feet in water. The chair was not comfortable at all and a bit worn. I tried adjusting it to no avail. A manicurist started working on my feet. She didn't say hello, ask me what I wanted, nor was I offered a price list. By now my lower back hurt and I wanted to get it over with. My toes are bent and sore due to my condition. She didn't have sturdy toe separators just soft spongy one's. I told her the spongy one will not work. She kept shaking her head and talking to another woman in Vietnamese. From her tone, it seemed to me like she was complaining. I became frustrated watching her struggle with the cheap sponge toe separators. She also had trouble removing cuticles and polishing my nails. I was grateful when it was over. My gel polish toes did not look professional. The manicurist who did my fingernails did a nice job; however, the chair I sat in for this service was terribly worn, low to the ground with little to no cushion. It was in bad shape. I requested gel nails with clear polish. My body couldn't take it any more. I had trouble getting out of both chairs. For $95, I didn't get the quality of service or results I paid for. Today, I was a walk in who wanted a pedicure. The service was amazing! Super kind and quick staff, as far as I can tell my feet feel great, I opted in for the 40$ service which I provided their full menu below. The actual salon itself was very quiet, and well kept. They should play music, or have a television on just to have the ambiance a little more relaxing. I feel like if you're someone who just wants a nice mani or pedi, this is your place! Why did my mom's pedicure cost $75 and she didn't get no chip or anything fancy and baby her polish looks terrible!! Her nails are not even filed evenly they are terrible. I do not recommend. I could have done a better job. read more

Often I need to switch out nail color quickly for work. This was the case Thursday so I went local. A prior no-chip had to be taken off first. I asked for plain white polish, the woman tried to upsell me on some chrome polish. I said no, plain white and gave the number. She returned with bright red and pointed to the number on the bottle, the same number I asked for. Again, I said I needed white. She did not understand me, and a man intervened. The white was old and thus very thick but it had to be done as I had two important business-related events in the following two days. The woman did not file my nails well, as evidenced by the photo where several chips have occured. The thickness of the old polish helped create lumps and bumps on the nail surface as well. Worse, right away she used an electric file on the top of my nails which can destroy the nail beds. Only after that did she soak them in remover and finished it off with more filing. Her own nails were in disrepair, but I was stuck. While waiting for the nails to dry, three others came in asking for various services, mostly no-chip manis. In each case the upsell occured: "are you sure you don't want a pedicure?" Insulting. First, people already know what they want and that is sufficient. Second, no customer should have to give reasons for their decision whether time or money or they don't want anyone touching their feet. Third, if a basic manicure can be screwed up so badly why would someone want to pay for another service. Finally, $30 plus tip was the price charged. Only $5 more and I could have gotten a no-chip if that would be suitable for my needs. Emergency use only from now on if nothing within 20 miles is open. read more

Do not go to them!! Don't get me wrong they do good nails but EVERYTIME I go in there they try to get over on their customers with the prices. I went there Saturday for a french tip full set their price board said $45 for full set & $10 for French tip.I finish with my nails they tell me $70 and make up fake prices as to why it's that much when I'm reading back their prices to them they also did this to my siblings they are very money hungry and I do not recommend!! read more

trash, they sit in there sleeping on the pedicure chairs and wake up from their naps with attitudes because they have to do their job, nobody greeted me, my nails look horrible, i showed her a picture of what i wanted, she did her own thing, i have 2 different french tip nail styles on my hands right now and had the nerve to charge me 73 when i used to go there and get the same style for 60 dollars, highly irritatted highly disappointed read more

I won't ever go here again. This is the second time I've tried to patronize this local business and they have done a bad job and over charged. This is my 11 year old daughter that we went to get her own nails done, no false nails, just acrylic on top and they charged $40. It wasn't even done right and they quoted me one price then charged something different. I don't cause a scene but I will not spend money there ever again. I see why it's never busy there. read more

I wish I could give them no stars, however that's not an option. I went to this nail salon on 6/21/22 for a pedicure and a no chip manicure. Upon entering the salon I felt a weird vibe yet still went through with my service. BIG MISTAKE! While performing my pedicure she proceeds to tell me she can't remove my polish because my nails aren't smooth. Ma'am I get my nails done every two weeks and have never been told this at any time ( she was upset because I wouldn't allow her to use the drill on my toe nails). I came in today to get a no chip manicure. The girl who did my nails was awful! It hurt while she was filing the color off. She didn't use any cuticle cream while she was doing my manicure. It hurt when she was removing the cuticles. Then my nail started to bleed. I refused to let them polish it because I didn't want an infection. So l left with nails that are stinging from pain and was STILL charged $20. I will NEVER come here again. All they could say was sorry. read more

Got a fill in for gel/ no chip and In less than a week the paint is chipping off my nails and about 5 fingers have dust painted in between the layers of the gel paint, so my paint has bumps in it! Lee did my nails and for $40 the quality just isn't there. Wish I could get my money back. AVOID! There are much better places in Indiana and worth the drive. read more

They are fast & efficient not to mention very friendly. I have had problems but were immediately fixed. I'm not a big fan of the no-chip polish I don't think it stands up to it's definition, mine do chip & peel but I wouldn't know if it was the tech's fault or the product itself. I am really rough on my nails so I keep them short thinking this would help with the peeling but it doesn't. I have recommended them to many of my friends and will still do so because they do go above & beyond to help. They give awesome pedicures also. read more

Nothing sets this place apart from the 101 other nail shops. They are the only nail salon in town. I stopped in and it seemed likes mom & pop run place. A bit pushy, all I wanted was a menu, and I noticed the acrylic boxes stacked along the wall, with numbers on them. a bit 1990's! Closed on Sunday. In a pinch, I would still skip it. Friendly but felt rushed and my fill in looked like I would need another one in 5 days, my NO CHIP came off within 24 hours. I went back and got the 2 fixed, they didn't charge. The quality here depends on who you get. Kim does the best nails in my opinion and is also very fast. Sometimes the other techs work fast, but are distracted and don't do a very good job, which is frustrating. I have stopped a tech from working on my nails when he tried to talk on his cell phone while doing them; I had a different do that and he dremeled through my natural nail. The shop is clean, but it could use an update inside. I wish they also still kept individual boxes of tools for each customer, because that seems much more hygienic that one set being used for everyone. read more

I have been going here for years. I agree with others that Kim is the best tech there. I have switched to no chip and the first time it lasted 4 weeks with French. I got a color this time and I will keep track how many weeks it lasts. Overall the service is very good. I also have had my eye brows waxed and was happy with that service as well. I've been going to this nail salon for a year and today was just about that final straw I think; idk if I'll be going back in just sucks cuz they're so close to my house I'm literally right around the corner! Kim did my nails last time and they were shit!! She put way to much clear coat literally was dried on the side on my nail and she literally almost let me walk out with a half uneven nail!!! I used to get my nails done here all the time. Whenever I went somewhere else they could always tell where I got them done the last time. Every time I got them done somewhere else the difference was very noticeable. They do not speak kindly and not genuinely friendly. I agree with the other reviewer Kim is the best.
