A pleasant surprise ! My mom, my sister, and I made appointments for a Tuesday afternoon for dip manicures and it was our first time at Crown Nails Spa. We walked in and didn't have to wait (take into account that it was weekday and we had an appointment). I have to say, it doesn't look like much from the outside in the strip mall, but once you walk in and meet the people that work there you can see the genuine desire to provide great customer service and quality nail care. I am very picky with my dip manicures and I was hesitant to go anywhere new, but I really loved this experience and my nails look absolutely fantastic almost a week later. The price for a dip manicure was well within normal ranges, on the lower level end actually (~$40) compared to other local places. Walked in on a Sunday around 11:20 after driving 40 minutes to get here because of the great reviews. There was only one customer in the store when we arrived, but I was told they don't accept walk-ins and are appointment only. I double checked their online pages before coming and didn't see anything stating "appointment only," so that was really disappointing after the long drive. read more

First time getting getting French tip nails. Tony the nail tech was rude. He wouldn't talk or look at you. He pulled my hands that made me feel uncomfortable. Alaina did my pedicure she was amazing very helpful, kind and patient. Her work was outstanding. I recommend going to Crown Nails just don't go with Tony. He was talking I'm sure about me. Quality of pedicure was hellacious. I expected the pedicure I paid for (deluxe). Got no leg or foot massage. Sat with hot towels on my legs for 15 minutes while tech was doing a manicure on another customer. Towels were ice cold by the time she returned to me. When I asked about a massage, her response was that she gave one with the exfoliating scrub. I'm not a pedi novice. Tech slapped some cream on my legs, did not rub it in, and wrapped with towels. When I complained to owner, I was given a "discount" on my service. This discount was a joke. My wife and I asked for two deluxe pedis at $60/each. My wife also got gel polish for $15. Total was $135. Discounted price was $133!!! This was THE worst pedicure, and I use that term loosely, I have ever had in my life. read more

I went to this place today last minute hoping to get a full set fill. The tech who did my nails was AMAZING! So sweet and kind and took her time! Omg she took her time on every nail making sure it was good before moving on, I appreciated that soo much, she did an amazing job and did exactly what I wanted. 10/10 would recommend, I can't remember the name of my tech but she is the reason I recommend this place. First time at crown nails. Selected it due to previous 4.5 rating. I had mani- pedi and facial waxing of brows and lips. The salon Is small and is very clean. It is manned by three employees on the day of my visit. I did call ahead and was given an appointment. I am very pleased with my mani- pedi. I do think they could have a greater selection of regular nail polish. Some colors were very thin which you can tell had nail remover added and mixer beads. I was able to select a nice red by OPI. The waxing was fine and brows shaped nicely. Overall I was pleased with my experience and the pricing is fair for services received. I would definitely return. read more

I have been here a few times for a no-chip pedicure since it is so close to my house. I tend to decide to get my nails done on a whim, so I never make an appointment. The wait time is always under 10mins. Service is friendly, stations are clean and my tech spent a good amount of time on my pedicure making sure it was perfect. I'm always happy with the results, and they really don't chip! I only go back for another pedicure when they start to grow out too much so the product quality and application is great! read more

I recently moved from the north suburbs to Orland Park. I was sorry to leave my former salon but 63 miles was too far to travel for a manicure. After read the reviews for numerous salons, I choose Crown Nail Spa since they specialized in dips. I am not easy to please, require thoroughly professional treatment and high quality workmanship. I was more than satisfied with the entire experience. Since I had the dip on the 26th of January, I have received a multitude of compliments on my nails and they look as perfect as they did on the day I had them done. Me and my mom were looking for a new nail salon since we always go to the same one... I'd say I was better off sticking with what I knew. We came here and even though they're appointment only they accepted us which was very kind. It was three workers and (I believe) the owners daughter (who smiled at my mom but not with me, which I didn't think much of at the beginning). I asked for French tips and a no chip pedicure and my mom asked for no chip nails and pedicure. They lady talked me into doing dip nails as it was only "3 dollars more" and "looked way better". I agreed and as soon as she started that I shouldn't have gone with her offer. She was very nice at first, made it a little thicker than I liked but it was nothing crazy. Second thing, she kept getting up and answering calls. I understand how it is to have your workplaces short staffed, but when it shows up in the quality of my nails that's when I have a problem. She adds a fake nail to my thumb since that nail was shorter than my others and continues with the dip powder. On the thumb it was so uneven and she asked me if I was okay with that hand and I said "actually no I would like for the thumb to be fixed" right then and there I noticed a tiny switch like she was annoyed I asked her to fix her mistake when it was messy, thick, and uneven. She asked what was wrong with it and I pointed out how it's a thick, uneven line. She started redoing it and then messes up, wasn't really annoyed as everyone makes mistakes but I was paying attention to the clock because by this time it had already been an hour for basic French tips and I had work. During this time they had the man working on my moms nails while she sat in the pedicure chair and a woman did her toes. She finishes up as the lady goes in for the third time to fix my nail and honestly, I wish I kept my mouth shut. As she's doing my nails she accidentally goes a little too far the second round of dip and this is when my rbf came out. It was thicker than the last one which is the opposite of what I asked and still wasn't a clean line. She asked me if it was okay and I hesitated because in my head I was just rethinking about coming to this salon. I told her I didn't like the outcome but at this point I don't think I'll have time for this to be redone a FOURTH time and a pedicure. She tells me that "since it's a fake nail the shape is different from a real nail and won't be the same outcome." I just kept shaking my head and saying okay because I was very dissatisfied and upset but was still using a respectful tone. She stops what she's doing and won't continue until I make eye contact with her and keeps excusing herself for making it too thick. I understand a fake nail isn't the same as a real nail but if you had trouble doing it, just say that it's YOUR skill instead of being rude. I mean after all, it was the third time so it wasn't just the fake nail. She paints over it so that it's even and my god it's so thick. After this I didn't wanna give any more money than I had to so when my mom and I were talking and she asked if I was still getting a pedi I said no. This is when they guy wouldn't stop staring at me. I knew I had upset them but don't stare at your customers after they're dissatisfied and make them feel even more uncomfortable. She wraps it up and I go to pay. The man putts it all on a calculator but I'm only showed the total- $153. A hundred and fifty three fucking dollars for me and my mom, mind you I only got my nails done and she got basic color. I didn't make a scene since my moms friends were there. Typically I do speak up but I figured they probably need the money for staffing so that they're next customer won't have the same shitty experience as me. I checked calculator for how much the tip would be for 20% and it said 35. I understand tipping is very much appreciated because I work in the restaurant industry and I always try to, but I also tip based on service. I was still generous with $20 in my opinion, and as soon as I wrote that the man started singing like " mmmmmm " as if he were annoyed of how "bad" my tip was. 173 for two dip sets and a no chip pedi, I really feel like I was robbed. I've never been to a nail salon where French tips were seen as recreating the Mona Lisa. I will NOT be returning:) read more

I found this place on Yelp, read the reviews, loved them & made an appointment to get a manicure. While I was on the phone with the employee who made my appointment, I specified that I was getting my nails done for my engagement party and wanted the best technician on the floor. She assured me she would do that. I live about 40 minutes from this location, but the reviews seemed good enough for me to make the drive. Once I got there, the place was empty and one of the two employees present began to tell me that all the manicurists were on vacation. She went on to tell me that customers have rescheduled for this reason. She said "she could do a manicure but maybe it will chip fast." I just got a no chip pedicure and a French tip no chip manicure. I wish the gentleman who did my pedicure did my manicure as well because he did such an excellent job. He was SO detailed and patient. There is no doubt in my mind it's going to last me. 10/10 recommend him! I cannot say the same thing about my manicure. She was the total opposite. She was rushing and you can tell. Some people are fast but they still do great work. I kept having to ask her to fix certain things throughout the process to the point where I just gave up. The side of my nails are full of white polish and top coat, I have bubbles on some nails. on September 16, 2022 I went to the Crown nails spa to get a no chip manicure I also had the spa treatment pedicure my mother and I both looked for the rating and saw it was a four point rating. This nail salon is a total rip off!! please pay attention to this review and do not waste your time money or Energy at this place. I got the no chip nail polish, it started to chip the very next day. I was going to a funeral and did not have time to return and have them redo the polish. When I called the owner of the shop whose name is Rachel, She stated we tell all of our customers to get the dip not no chip, this statement was never made to me or to my mother. I explained to Rachel no one ever stated it was not guaranteed or I would not have gotten the work done. The owner of the shop Rachel refused to honor the policy of the no chip polish lasting at least two weeks, Rachel insisted I come back and she give me five dollars off a totally new manicure which would be $35. The nail polish on my fingers and toes do not match but it's hard to see until you are outside please do yourself a favor and don't go to Crown nails it is a total rip off. The only reason I gave them a rating of one star is because I was unable to do a -0. This place is not worth the cement it's built on or the gas you would spend on the drive you would take to waste your money. They appear to be nice but it's obvious a desperate act to keep this shop open due to no customers are there when you come. Yes no waiting because their service due to old polish is HORRIBLE! I went with two friends to have simple manicures done about a week ago. We were all pretty happy with our results. This is a small shop with room for about four appointments at a time. When we were there, two nail techs were working; both were solid. All three of us were done within an hour. For a basic manicure, the price was $15; for my friend who did a version of a French manicure, the price was $30. I don't get my nails done often, but I'd be happy to go back. As soon as I walked in, I felt welcome and everyone was so friendly, the lady who sat me down, showed me the nail colors that was available for me to choose from and I certainly did not felt rushed to picked a color (usually I am at other places) she was very attentive and nice. The place looks very clean and neat. Kevin did my nails and I loved it, from the color to the exact shape nail that I wanted (coffin shape). He made sure to ask me every so often if I was happy with the results which I definitely am. He took his time to do my nails, towards the end he massaged my hands and wrapped it with a warm towel. So this was hard for me to pick the stars. If I am evaluating completely on how my nails looked I would give this place five stars. But there were a few variables that seem to take away from the overall experience for me. I don't have a lot of time to get my nails done and when I do, I like it to be a relaxing and enjoyable experience. The ambience here is a little odd. The decor is definitely lacking and a bit strange. The color selection for polish was not great, and when I asked for help on finding a color I was really looking for the gentleman who was there really didn't seem to want to help me out. Additionally I had made an appointment for two of us to get pedicures, but we were taken care of by the same technician so one had to wait for the other. That was a little annoying. So in summary, they do a fabulous job and your nails will look fantastic. But if you want a bit of a spa experience that is probably not going to happen. read more
