Avoid Daniel Zamora at all costs (and look at the negative reviews for Tailored Pools to get a true sense of what you are dealing with when you engage with the Zamoras' businesses). The nightmare that is our experience with Daniel began over a year ago. Not only does our pool remain unfinished, our entire yard is completely unusable and in a state of disrepair. Necessary permits were not secured and requests for inspection reports ignored. We are now trying to undo the problems he created in this build. Despite collecting over 95% of the contract price, he abandoned the job leaving a significant amount of work undone. Specifically, they did not finish plastering, backfilling, electrical, plumbing, coping, decking, inspection, lighting, fencing or clean up. Here are just a few of the issues we experienced: (1) dishonesty; (2) no project management - random workers would come and go without any oversight and frequently without notice leaving us to try to muddle through instructions without plans or direction; (3) lack of responsiveness - as soon as the contract was signed and the first check in hand Daniel was difficult to get in touch with frequently leaving messages unanswered for days/weeks; (4) scheduling issues -- despite repeated promises they did not hit deadlines and constantly pushed back work, the excuses for which becoming increasingly far-fetched as time went on (5) deviation from design and missteps; and (6) lack of worker/subcontractor controls.

I must revise my review due to ongoing issues with the work carried out by Bioscapes. I had earlier…read moreindicated that the roots from the shrub removal were still visible and was informed that the root balls had been extracted and that this was sufficient. While I was setting up Christmas decorations, I observed that one of the bushes has begun to regrow, which seems to be regarded as a miracle since the root ball was supposedly removed! Additionally, I noticed that a considerable portion of the newly installed concrete slab is distinctly discolored due to inconsistent or improper mixing. Unfortunately it seems I will have to resolve this through our court system.

I have used Bioscapes on three major projects and have been completely satisfied with the results…read moreof their services that included meeting with me and helping me with the designing and planning of each project. The project included a complicated French drain that started in the far side of my backyard and extended down the fence line of my property and emptied into the front lawn. The second project, which occurred a couple of years later was to install new sod in my front yard. The most recent project was to replace existing grass from one side of my yard and replace with gravel and step stones. None of the projects were simple one day projects. In most cases the jobs were 2-3 days of hard laborious work for the workers. Speaking of the workers. Pete Facundo is the director of the Bioscapes projects. Pete has always been honest, patient and a professional to work with. His employees are well trained and skillful in the performance of their work. They are respectful and courteous to their customers and their neighbors at all times. I would not hesitate to recommend Pete and Bioscapes for your landscaping project.

The people were nice, but lacked basic skills as the wall was completely uneven. This caused challenges later when the fence company tried to complete their portion of the project. They also used chipped bricks throughout the wall. When asked about it, Aphascapes advised that the bricks were defective. Then why using defective bricks in the first place then? They bought them directly from the supplier and the cost was included in the overall project. Very unethical. I contacted them on 2/18 to fix the chipped bricks and Alphascapes advised that they would come by. I reached out multiple times to follow-up with them but then the communication simply stoped. They have yet to show up as I am writing this review. I had to hire another contractor to fix them. It turned out so beautiful! The colors of brick I wanted were not available, but Nathan patiently worked with me until we came up with something even better than my original idea. Nathan and his crew are hard working, professional, and very knowledgeable. They used concrete at the edges so the stones would not shift over time. His quote was reasonable, and he helped me find ways to cut the price even more without sacrificing quality. I enjoyed working with him and hope to do so again in the future!

For my review, however, I wanted to say what an easy process it is to use Irvin's team. When I moved to my current house, I talked on the phone and got quotes from at least three other lawn care businesses. ATX was the only business who offered to stop by for an in-person quote while they were out in the neighborhood. On site, we kept a social distance, talked a little, and he gave me a very fair price. If I need a job done, I just text him. He sends a Venmo notification to get paid. Easy. Now, the crew comes by to mow my lawn every other week, and today, for the first time, I asked if I could get my WILD flower bed that had reached out into the bike lane a cleanup. Again, he gave me a fair quote and the team did an awesome job. Shoutout to the team.
