While the hotel is not the greatest, it was a definite upgrade over my previous week's lodging at the Courtyard so I'm satisfied. So week 2 of my work trip in Laredo begins and I decided to cancel my stay at the Courtyard and switch hotels. Fortunately I was able to land a weeks stay at this location a few days before my first night's stay. I appreciate that they let me check in early since I prefer to get to the hotel first when I'm traveling for work so I can unpack, refresh, and get into work mode before heading to my work destination. This hotel isn't the greatest but it had the basics that I seek for any hotel: Clean room (yes) Clean bathroom (yes) Utilities (handsoap, clean towels) (yes) A bed that's sleepable and supportive (yes) A workout room that has efficient equipment (yes) Friendly staff (yes) So yes it checks all the boxes. They also serve complimentary breakfast although I didn't engage with that due to my work schedule. Plus the hotel is across the street from several restaurants and shops to keep one's mind occupied. AND it's close to the Laredo airport and golf course. While I'll likely find other hotel options for my next visit, I'm open to staying here again.

I rented the largest one bedroom suite and while it's a good amount of space everything is really dated. Almost like from the 80s. The TVs are small, I feel like maybe a 27 inches and because of the cabinet it's in you have to hold the remote awkwardly and lean to the left to see it. Not to mention the living room TV is in store display mode and constantly pops up on screen advertising. The TV is LG brand and the remote is Vizio brand and I cannot get it out of store display mode. I have to hold the toilet handle down for a long time to get it to flush and one bedside lamp doesn't work. Carpet is old and dirty and turned my white socks almost black.

Bride had to remove her three thousand dollar gown to change into another dress because the heat was that unbearable. Management did not communicate these issues with the bride or groom at all. If you are planning to have your special event here, don't. The owner does not care about your experience. They ignored multiple phone calls and are now refusing to give any sort of refund or compensation for the unacceptable conditions and services they provided. Management has poor communication and lacks professionalism and accountability in all aspects. Take your money somewhere else. This place will undoubtedly let you down too and ruin what should be one of the biggest days of your life.

What a joke of facility....very disappointed!! I scheduled…read morean appointment to visit the facility for an upcoming event. We not only felt insulted, but what a way to conduct business. I was told that the facility would potentially range $12,000 plus and was told that perhaps I should go to a "more reasonable" facility's off Hwy 359. Because this facility hold 150 to 200 attendees...and I'm looking at 75 to 100 attendees. Unfortunately, I live in the greater Houston Metropolitan area, and I'm not familiar with the expansions Laredo has. My mother's 91st birthday has NO price, and if it had been $20 or $30 thousand, I would have been more than happy to pay. Hopefully Laredo has a few other venues that are more CS savvy friendly and knowledgeable. What a way to conduct business. America and her Supervisor need additional knowledge regarding contract commitment. Once I sign, it would be my lose and your gain if only 100 or 50 invitees attend. She went above and beyond her duties to make sure our night was unforgettable and less stressful. The DJ/ MC had the crowd pumped up and dancing since the beginning of the event. The Venue, Altezza/ Marquezza- was beautiful and elegant: making our night one to remember. If I could give negative stars, I would. This catering company was every bride's nightmare. I…read morebooked them TWO YEARS before my wedding, as a returning customer (I had used them for my quince), and still, the experience was beyond unprofessional and disappointing. From the start, they couldn't even get my wedding date straight. They repeatedly called to confirm details they already had on file. Every meeting was the same -- "yes, we can do that, yes, we have that" -- but when it came down to execution, they delivered the complete opposite. The only time they were quick and consistent was when they needed payment. The food and service were appalling. What was supposed to be a black-tie event turned into something that looked like it was thrown together from Sam's Club. The appetizers? A sad fruit and veggie tray, a cheap pasta salad, and nothing close to what we discussed. The beer was served warm, and guests were told it "ran out" -- even though we later found out there were TEN full cases left untouched in the back. I was promised four margarita machines; only three worked, and THEY decided the flavors, not me. The entrees were cold, and to top it off, one waiter dropped bread on the floor, picked it up, and PUT IT BACK. Completely unacceptable. They cut corners everywhere. They were supposed to provide plates for the cake -- instead, they pulled out Styrofoam plates. At a black-tie wedding. The bar staff was rude and unprofessional, and they even damaged the venue's carpet during service. Despite me begging for a bar count for months so I could budget properly, I didn't get it until DECEMBER 10 -- less than a month before my January wedding. They disregarded my instructions completely. I personally went to the venue before the wedding to place name cards and seating diagrams for every table, with specific instructions for tables of 8 and 10 guests. I detailed everything. They ignored it all and still managed to screw up the layout I had worked so hard to perfect. Their lack of respect was unbelievable. My parents and I once scheduled a meeting with them, and both of my parents took off work to attend. We arrived, and no one was there. They asked us to wait an hour, so we did. After another hour, still no one showed up. No apology. No explanation. Just complete disregard for our time. And if that wasn't enough, after the wedding, they even had the nerve to call and tell me off because they took the wrong tables from the venue. They accused us of being in the wrong, only to realize later that THEY had made the mistake. The list of failures goes on and on. I genuinely don't understand how this company is still in business. They embarrassed me in front of my guests, disrespected my family's time and money, and turned what should have been the happiest day of my life into a nightmare. Do yourself a favor -- do not book them. I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy.
