What a joke of facility....very disappointed!! I scheduled…read morean appointment to visit the facility for an upcoming event. We not only felt insulted, but what a way to conduct business. I was told that the facility would potentially range $12,000 plus and was told that perhaps I should go to a "more reasonable" facility's off Hwy 359. Because this facility hold 150 to 200 attendees...and I'm looking at 75 to 100 attendees. Unfortunately, I live in the greater Houston Metropolitan area, and I'm not familiar with the expansions Laredo has. My mother's 91st birthday has NO price, and if it had been $20 or $30 thousand, I would have been more than happy to pay. Hopefully Laredo has a few other venues that are more CS savvy friendly and knowledgeable. What a way to conduct business. America and her Supervisor need additional knowledge regarding contract commitment. Once I sign, it would be my lose and your gain if only 100 or 50 invitees attend. They just lost a potential $12,000+ contract. Definitely NOT a pleasant experience. MCH

She went above and beyond her duties to make sure our night was unforgettable and less stressful. The DJ/ MC had the crowd pumped up and dancing since the beginning of the event. They backed out leaving us scrambling last minute. PKE's DJ met with us and put us at ease. He was very organized and flexible, being able to cater to our vision of the ceremony. We were wanting a Star Wars theme for our May the 4th wedding, and we got just what we were looking for. He provided his services, speakers and lighting all for a reasonable price. Going above and beyond he was able to incorporate our last minute requests before the event and perfectly read the crowd during the event to give an overall great entertainment experience. While I was trying to explain to her my cake design, she looked at my paper like it was rocket science or something. She looked like she was in a bood mood and she didnt want to be at work but was laughing with one of her coworkers before she came to the register. She made me feel very bad. This was a cake for a very special occasion and her lack of enthusiasm and attention to the customer made it seem like she did not want to take my order!!!! I recently purchased a wedding cake for a friend who felt the need for that piece of paper. Unfortunately, time wasn't our best friend that day. Everything was off schedule turning his wedding into an episode of bridezilla and Cakeland wasn't any better. We arrived a few minutes early hoping there professionalism would prevail since everything else was going wrong. Little to my surprise, when we arrived I was notified that the cake wasn't done. I was told that they were just finishing it up. After waiting for fifteen minutes after the scheduled pick up time, they told me it would be about twenty minutes more. Considering that time was of the essences we figured we would pay for it so we could send someone else since they failed to have it ready. Unfortunately, we were told that payment needed to be made at the time of pick up. What made things worse is that after all the extra time they had, the cake was not made the way it was specifically ordered. This was very disturbing due to the fee for all that extra detail was substantial and to not have it done right was very disappointing. Also the wedding cake was a three tier cake that was terribly centered. Granted this could've been been partially the pick up guys fault since by the time it was picked up it was hotter than grandmas kitchen which could've caused the tiers to move. Honesty, I ain't sure way we in trusted Cakeland with the cake since this wasn't the first time they had failed us. Although, I must give Cakeland some credit for making a very delicious, moist, and flavorful cake. I just wished they could've put that same effort into the presentation as well as there punctuality.
