I came here today with my daughter and two granddaughters after calling first to inquire if we could get pedicures. The person that answered the phone said they were not busy and we could come right in. Upon arrival, the manicurist stated we could not be assisted until after 5 pm, which meant we would be waiting for over an hour and a half. I found this place in late summer 2016 when I was in town for training and loved it! I returned two more times that summer before I had to go back home and each time I was not disappointed. I always went in as a walk-in and got gel nails and an upgraded spa pedicure. The ambiance was perfect and I love that the pedicures are done in semi-private rooms, away from where the manicures are done. The staff was always very friendly and did their best to accommodate my requests and searched for the colors I wanted (I'm not the easiest customer to appease). I used to always view nail salons as the most frivolous way to spend cash. This was mainly because of my experiences with nail salons. Who wants to pay someone $25+ to do something that I could do myself at home? I have very weak and brittle nails and they break on a whim which is very annoying. At other salons I had tried regular polish (thinking that because it is a high end polish it'd last longer) and gel polish (it lifted within 3 DAYS!) all to no avail. I had pretty much given up on going back to a nail salon because besides being a waste of money, they are usually slam packed with rude people making you feel very unrelaxed to say the least. Well, fast forward, and I tell myself I'll give it one last go around. I searched for nail salons in San Angelo with good reviews, and most had plenty of good reviews but always had some horrendous ones with terrible experiences in them, so nevertheless, I looked on. I finally happened to stumble upon De Nails Spa and I was amazed and thoroughly convinced I'd found my place, because I couldn't find a harsh review. The next day I walked into the salon (a Sunday, about 2-3pm) where I was greeted by a man (Justin, I later learned) who made me feel right at home. He asked if I was there for a pedicure and I told him yes. I was determined that was all that I was going to get because manicures never lasted. The salon has a hallway with private rooms for pedicures where two people at a time could get one together if they want. The atmosphere of the salon is very laid back and relaxing, and they play soothing music. Justin was very gentle and you could tell he paid close attention to detail on the pedicure. While we were talking, he suggested that i get a SNS manicure, to which I told him instantly 'no thank you,' just because he didn't know how easily my nails break. He reassured me that this type of manicure will last and will not chip, and that it makes your nails stronger. I was a little hesitant but I decided to go ahead with it. Justin reassured me that if my nails chipped or broke within the first week that he would fix them for free, although he was positive they wouldn't break or chip. I was already very happy with my pedicure and so I felt I could trust I'd be the same way with the manicure. Justin finished the pedicure and May (a sweet lady) did my SNS manicure. I have had it for going on my third week now, and it has not chipped or broken in the slightest. I'm ecstatic that not only have my nails not broken at all (I'm a waitress too! I bus tables and constantly use my hands roughly), they look gorgeous and have lasted me for so long. I have found myself excited for them to grow out just so I can go get my next set. I just moved to The area from a big city! I was very impressed w/ this salon right when I walked in. I was greeted by the owner and his little girl. He asked if I would like a beverage, and made me a mimosa! Hey it's Friday, & 5o'clock somewhere. I was taken to a private room w/ two pedi chairs. This saloon had 3 little nails stations up front, and private rooms for pedicures. So relaxing, and seemed very clean. I sat down & waited 2 - 3 minutes for my nail tech. They give you a menu w/ pricing which makes things less confusing at payout. Justin, the owner walked back to check on me, and introduced himself. While visiting my beautiful sister, I was admiring her gorgeous nails and toes and she let me know of this great spa place where she had them done. She had her first massage there that she ranted and raved about. A friend and I went over the next day. Everyone was so nice and professional, the place did not smell of chemicals at all, there was relaxing music, wait time was minimal, the overall experience was phenomenal! There are very few places anywhere anymore that truly take pride in their work and really show a high standard of fantastic customer service. This place is it! I visit here a lot from New York (my s/o and best friends are stationed at Goodfellow) and this is my favorite nail salon. I have my few in New York but this is the only salon I go to here in San Angelo. May is AMAZING. They do a great job, offer free mimosas, they always have specials. They're the nicest, most professional people. We brought my niece and they're great with kids, it's a nice family environment, their little ones are always around. Beautiful atmosphere. Umm... this place was a disappointment. Three stars is generous and the only thing I'm keeping in mind with this generous rating is the concept of individual pedicure rooms and the hot rock pedicure- both of which of I would have enjoyed if we had time. Unfortunately we didn't, because for the five manicures and pedicures we scheduled for our group (well in advance), only two nail techs were available to provide the services. This was the owner and his wife I believe. And they continued to have people come in and so they had to serve them as well. It took 2.75 hours for us to get two dip manicures and two hot rock pedicures and it was not inexpensive- cost almost $150 for the four services. The whole thing could have been prevented if they had actually written down our appointments and prepared. I saw first hand how appointments work there- basically they don't write anything down. They say you have an appointment but they don't write it down and therefore don't do anything to prepare... We won't be back. read more

I have never had a place pay so much attention to detail. I love the separate rooms...2 chairs per room for pedicures. The music is very relaxing...massage chairs are in great shape. Very nice place. I was very impressed with the detail and care that went into my pedi. The lady took lots of time and really did a great job. I got the 45.00 one which includes a long exfoliation, Paraffin wax, and A short hot stone massage. It was lovely. You're in a room where there are only 2 chairs so it's very private and peaceful. read more

There is definitely room for improvement. We chose this place based on thevreviews. While they have a great concept the end result is unimpressive. I loved the private rooms and massage chairs. However the paint on my toenails were all messed up when we left. After they had dried for 20 min before she put my sandals on! Not sure if she put too thick of Polish on or what. So disappointing, feels like a waste of money. I'm from out of town or I would have went back and made her fix them, she had to have seen the mess up after putting my sandals on. Made a appointment for a date pedicure with my fiancé before our wedding. We only see each other once a week. We got here at 245 got set in our chairs by 250 they came in after they set my fiancé up and informed us they would start his and the come in shortly to do mine after 30 mins mine still hadn't been started and we live a hour and a half away. After 45 mins still nothing.... I finally told them I would not be getting mine done to finish my fiancé and we would leave. We had another appt set up for the day and we had this set for 50 mins we figured a hour and a half and finally over a hour later still didn't even attempt mine we gave up! This is ridiculous they informed us they had walk ins for manis but we had these scheduled way in advanced. Bad service! read more

It was clean yet overrated. The atmosphere was dark and not warm and soothing. The prices are not comparable to the service delivery. This not a high end salon. This an average salon with average service. My nails cracked 4 days after I got them done. I got an acrylic overlay. The tech did not ask how I wanted my nails shaped. This place is fantastic. I was visiting town and I had tried other salons in the past with "meh" results. I decided to try somewhere new and I'm glad I did. I had a manicure, pedicure and half-arm wax. I went for the basic pedicure and it was the best pedicure I have ever had. The staff is professional, nice and talented. The atmosphere is lovely - quiet, tranquil with spa music. None of the services were rushed and I was encouraged to relax. I have a high threshold for pain but the waxing was absolutely painless. It must be a combination of wax and technique. And the services come with a complimentary drink. Wine? Yes, please. I highly recommend this salon. My daughter and I were scheduled for pedicures at 9:00 a.m. but when we arrived they were not open. We were a couple of minutes early so we waited outside until 9:10. We tried to open the door a couple of times but it was locked. We called them and it went straight to voicemail. In my opinion this is a poor way to run a business. read more

This was one of the best pedicures I have ever had. I like that you are in your own room which makes it more relaxing. The nail technician took her time and was very gentle. The business was professional and well ran. The prices seemed pod considering the effort and services received. I will definitely go back. I am glad the first one I tried in San Angelo was the best one and I don't have to shop around. They said you don't need an appointment and they take walk ins or to call ahead to check the status of the salon. read more
