I found Sunset Strip in San Angelo through reviews and decided to book an underarm wax and a full service intimate wax with Lynda. From the moment I walked in, I knew this place was different. The shop has such a fun, punk rock vibe--art on the walls, quirky statues, video game and roller derby stickers, even plushies. It's colorful, unique, and welcoming in a way that makes you feel immediately at ease. Lynda herself is fantastic. She explained the process, made me feel comfortable the entire time, and worked with skill and confidence. Both waxes were quick, thorough, and so much smoother than I expected. She also offers sugar waxing, which I'll definitely be trying in the future. I thought about it for several weeks after being referred because the last Brazilian wax I had at another place was a very uncomfortable/horrible experience. I moved to San Angelo, TX from great state of California. The first thing I did was look for a waxing salon otherwise I'd have to wait on the weekends to drive to Dallas or Austin. But luckily, the first place that pops up was Wild West Wax! Phew! This place is a hidden gem. You know you're at a high quality waxing salon when the esthetician uses hard wax. All too often other businesses that offer waxing services skimp out on quality waxing materials (i.e. soft/ strip wax), but fear not! Wild West Wax uses the best materials. So you know you're getting the best waxing services in town at this place. If you're thinking about booking an appointment, do it with Lynda! I've been waxing my delicate areas for 3 years now, so I've had a fair share of waxing experiences (Yes, it still hurts everytime! Don't believe people who say it doesn't hurt. Because it will hurt.) but with her technique getting waxed down there isn't so bad. She is meticulous and makes sure that I leave her place silky smooth. She goes over post wax care before I leave (ingrown hair is the worst!). She offers military discount too (-10%)! I recommend making an appointment at least 3-4 weeks ahead of time because she's usually booked out. Lynda will send out a text and email reminder so you don't forget or arrive late.
