[sigh] Well, I called a couple local outfits and Dave's Electric answered. He and his associate arrived, looked at it and said they could do it: Service call + some labor fees. They had actually just installed the same, exact ceiling fan for another customer a couple days prior to mine, so they new some of the issues that could arise with this particular model.
