I would normally let bygones be bygones but over 2 months later I am still having to clean up after…read moreAndrew's mess.  I hired him from a referral as he refinished the floors in my girlfriend's house.  She was very happy with his work.  He may do good work refinishing but I wouldn't trust him to be careful with your home.  He came in to install a hardwood through my home, something he said he could do.  After all the tile was removed, (huge Thank You to William at Tile Master!), Andrew came in and used a grinder to remove the remaining cement.  As a painter, I can tell you that the most time-consuming part of the job is prep work.  Andrew skipped that entirely.  Instead, he moved my fridge and stove to the next room while he worked in the kitchen.  That's not good enough.  He got concrete dust everywhere!  In my blinds, in my cabinets, inside my stove, through the motor in the fridge, in my microwave, my ceiling fans...  The list goes on.  He covered nothing!  He could have moved the appliances to the garage but he should have still covered the rest.  I even have chunks of concrete in my shower and shower door tracks, OMG!  On top of that, he damaged my walls and broke bricks off the fireplace.  He claims they were loose but that's not likely at all.  I let him go when I came home to find that he had tracked cement, leaving footprints all over the sidewalk and street.  He took the floor down to the slab and asked my tile guy, William, to raise the tile in the kitchen and baths because he was going to lay something down under the wood floor.  William did as I asked him to but he did say that it's unusual.  So did the plumbers when they came to install new toilets.  They had to use special parts to raise the fitting.    I am so glad I found a better company - A1 Flooring in San Marcos - to come in and fix most of Andrew's doing.  BTW, they completed my floor at HALF the price Andrew quoted!  They leveled out the floor where the wood meets the tile and I now have a BEAUTIFUL wood floor to match my entryway.  Unfortunately, I am still finding pieces of concrete in cracks and crevices throughout my home.  Andrew, here's a tip: Spend time on your prep work so cleanup is easier.  Every other contractor coming through my home parked in my driveway and put a cover down on the ground where they walked.  I didn't have to tell them, they just did.  No one else left a mess, especially not concrete dust!  If you know that there's going to be dust everywhere, use plastic to cover windows, cabinets, ceiling fans, etc.  Your work is unacceptable by any measure and I am thoroughly dismayed at your poor quality workmanship. My review was honest and represented Andrew's poor workmanship. After Andrew saw my review he texted me to threaten me with a lien on my house because of my review. Not only is his workmanship poor, he is unprofessional, dishonest, and retaliatory. I have no interest in hurting anyone's business but my review stands. I have no reason to accuse Andrew of things he didn't do. I have nothing to gain from that. He claims I called and yelled at him for damaging my tile pieces. In fact, when I came home I found that some of the pieces were on the floor. I'm attaching a photo of our text message exchange. I sent him a photo and politely asked him if he knew what happened. He asked to call to talk about it. In our conversation he said that he grabbed a cardboard tube, things fell out and he thought they were trash. I told him that I understood and that I felt it was an honest mistake. I didn't yell. I can recognize an irrational person, too. You can't put a lien on someone's house simply because you don't like the review. Andrew broke the bricks on my fireplace; damaged several walls removing baseboard; made a mess that was extremely difficult to clean throughout my cupboards, windows, etc.; and left concrete prints in my driveway and on the street which did not, by the way, wash off easily. I had to use a pressure washer to remove. I'm attaching a text exchange also to show that Andrew threatened me with a lien simply for posting a review he didn't like. He even clearly states that we parted terms with mutual agreement and that I paid him for the work he performed. I wish I would have realized the amount of effort needed to clean up after him and insist that he pay someone else to perform the cleanup. Then we could argue our case in court. As of now, he can only dislike my review, but I stand by it 100%.

All American Hardwoods just completed refinishing our hardwood flooring in our living room, dining…read moreroom and laundry room. Due to wear and tear the floors were really horrible but All American Hardwoods did an amazing job refinishing them and they look new. Also Andrew explained each process and was very knowledgeable about how to keep our floors in top shape. He had fair prices, worked efficiently and gave us adequate instructions for how long to keep our new born away due to the chemicals involved. My husband and I highly recommend Andrew and this company.
