I have the receipt showing it was activated, and the PIN sticker was intact. I did contact customer service, but it took them 25 days to respond while they "investigated." In the end, they just redirected me to the vendor without taking responsibility, while Dick's did the same. So, think twice if you're thinking about getting a gift card from here, there's a chance you could lose your money!

My favorite thing while shopping is hunting for the 0.00/0.97 deals and getting a 'steal'. Will keep coming here for my bulk shopping.

N o problem unless dealing with a 20 to 30 lb bag of rice and beans that is a little over the top but when I have those items I choose to go through the lines where the workers will remove those items, They also have the best Meats in the business if you don't believe try them for yourself go for the prime select Meats,as the choice is good but the marbling on the prime steaks and ribeye are Bar None to many meat market I have ever been to. Costco also has the snack bar which is outside the store and the only downfall with that is they have six to eight machines outside and only two to three work which is not a problem during most of the day but around noon and around 5:00 p.m. they're super crowded and you're dealing with a lot of people who act like they've never been to Costco and can't pick what they want so it takes a lot longer to get to one of those machines. The upside is when you do get to the counter the step is really quick and friendly and make sure your order is complete before they send you on your way with a smile.

As…read moresoon as I walk through the door the cashiers are loudly bad mouthing a customer that was just in the store so loud you could hear them clear to almost the back of the store. I was absolutely disgusted by their behavior. As someone also in retail, it doesn't matter how much a customer pisses you off, that behavior is disrespectful and horrible. I honestly wanted to just turn around and leave. It's one thing to talk negatively about customers like that where other customers can't hear or off the clock but while you are on the clock actively at the registers... Just gross. I can't stress it enough. And once we got to the registers, the cashiers continued talking about their personal lives in detail including very loudly sharing to someone two registers over about someone having a stroke and passing away?! Completely inappropriate!! This whole visit to this location was just inappropriate on the staff behalf. Unfortunately this is the best selection in the area dollar store wise other wise i probably wouldn't be returning to this one... unless the staff get hugely corrected on their behavior.

I think that is to be expected towards the end of the day when customers have been in and out and might not put things away correctly, but 10 am disorganized. I found these cute flip flops for my toddler. he needed a toddler size 7 and again, great deal. $2 for the flip flops. he was so excited. we went to check out and apparently "Disney" apparel was not included in the deal. but these flip flops were under the $2 sign. this my conclusion of disorganized. Plus, there wasn't even a tag with the price on the flip flops. so after spending 30 minutes scouring to find flip flops in his size and check out to walk out empty handed he was devastated. my son doesn't usually throw tantrums so we walked out peacefully but as you can imagine, I had a pretty sad 3 year old. I'd expect a store to be organized especially right when they open, correct items in the correct place to indicate pricing, especially if there is no tag to display a price. lastly the lady who checked me out was unkind, unfriendly, and her and her coworker were chatting for a solid two minutes while I was the only one waiting in line. lets up the customer service skills with a smile at least and maybe some remorse for an item being in the incorrect spot when you just opened.

Solid place for snacks, juice, water, party supplies, home goods and even personal care. The sales are always something to indulge in and the customer service is personable. The parking lot is a little run down, but super easy to navigate in and out of. Despite being shopped super hard for the holidays the shelves were fairly well kept, organized and faced. We stopped in for some candy, salt snacks and wine as well as those late last minute gifts including a seasonal Himalayan Salt Lamp that has a new great home. The Dollar General is a touch of Big Lots mixed with Walgreens and a splash of Dollar Tree, but very much it's own store. This one in Bakersfield, Kern County, California off Wilson Rd and the 99 Golden State Hwy is worth checking out for sure. Appreciate the two gents/clerks in front who made our experience that much more better and enjoyable.

The hot sellers are toilet paper and laundry soap at bargain prices. I enjoyed shopping there during the holidays and found some great Christmas items for good prices. I downloaded the APP to get some other coupon discounts. Bring your own bags or pay 10 cents a bag. The location on Wilson Road does not have shopping carts. The restroom at the location on white lane was a disgusting mess. The location on South Chester has the smallest floor space and narrow aisles but was well stocked. The location on Brundage is a market with a larger floor space and a small selection of grocery items. They assisted a homeless man by watching his personal cart while he shopped. This was an act of kindness, however, just be aware to lock your car and watch your purse. The main reason I would shop there is for seasonal items.
