I told him about some 3D X-rays I'd gotten done the Assistant wanted to look it up to see if they had put it in my file and he starts telling her you'll never find it, and please teach me if you do, then when she couldn't find it after he was mocking her openly in front of me, she just stood back and allowed him to try and find it, he started going off on her telling her never in the history of creation have the systems operated like that and continued to berate her openly in front of me. I was silent for a minute before I quietly said, Dr. Anosike is this how you talk to the women in your office? And he started trying to say I don't understand all sides and that he wasn't being mean towards her, and I was confused on the feelings, I then told him my once low blood pressure is high and my heart rate is up after listening to him talk to her that way, so it's no mistaken feelings, he then walked out of the room. Upon arrival, an assistant performed X-rays and informed me that I needed to wait for the doctor. After a significant delay, the doctor finally entered, briefly examined my teeth, and then left the room without providing any explanation or treatment plan. Approximately 20 minutes later, a staff member returned to inform me that the doctor was recommending a deep cleaning (scaling and root planing) at a cost of $50, despite the fact that I specifically requested a standard cleaning and my insurance covers that procedure in full. When I declined the deep cleaning, the office refused to perform the regular cleaning that is medically appropriate for a routine visit and fully covered by my insurance policy. As a result, I spent nearly one hour at the practice, received X-rays only, and was denied the covered service I came in for. This raises serious concerns regarding: * Potential discriminatory treatment, as I am an African-American woman and the staff was predominantly Hispanic and Caucasian. * Insurance misuse, by attempting to upsell a more expensive procedure instead of providing the covered service. * Failure to provide standard of care, including refusing a routine cleaning without providing any medical justification. * Improper patient handling, miscommunication, and unreasonable wait times.

Dr. Krupa Patel has been my dentist for the past 4 to 5 years, and her service is nothing short of stellar. I first met her when I needed a difficult tooth extraction. I was skeptical because my teeth have always been hard to remove--past dentists had struggled. But Dr. Patel reassured me with confidence, and sure enough, she removed it effortlessly. I was truly in awe. More recently, I experienced an issue with one of many dental implants she did for me--its screw had slightly risen, creating discomfort, likely because I wasn't consistently wearing the night guard she had custom-made for me. When I visited the clinic, the first thing she gently asked was whether I had been using the night guard. I admitted I hadn't worn it consistently but promised to be diligent moving forward after realizing the consequences. The dentist did a very thorough exam (so much better than the last practice I was going to) Today I went in to get 3 fillings Not only did she explain step by step but she also made sure I was at ease the entire time.
