I encountered Dr. Delgado after suffering a weekend of intermittent pain in my lower jaw; my dentist saw me on Monday and was actually unsure which was the offending tooth. She referred me to MD Endodontics and I was offered an appointment the following morning. Everything about the office is modern and comforting to the patient. The staff was so courteous and helpful and when I met Marianna, I immediately felt confident. She expertly located the problem area and explained the what and why (I had already resigned myself to the necessity of a root canal). And, to my surprise, she did the procedure that morning, saving me the necessity of a return trip. She and her assistant made sure of my comfort and her pleasant demeanor really is helpful. I was so terrified of getting my first root canal done, but Dr. Delgado and staff were so incredibly warm and calming! I came in for a root canal (my first ever root canal) after a week of dealing with an aching tooth. Upon entering, I noticed how beautiful, sleek and modern the office was. It almost felt like I was walking into a fancy medical spa. All of the staff members were extremely friendly and helpful. Dr. Delgado went absolutely above and beyond in making me comfortable from the moment I met her until my procedure was complete. She made sure I was not in any kind of pain and made it easy for me to communicate that with her. Her bedside manners as a doctor were impeccable. If you are normally petrified of getting major dental work done like I am look no further MD Endodontics is the place for you. Upon arrival you are greeted by warm and friendly receptionists who take all major Covid-19 precautions and are then taken to your seat where Dr. Marianna's assistant Audrey helps curate a zen like atmosphere and even gives you spa music to listen to. Once you are relaxed, Dr. Marianna calmly explains the procedure and is gentle and patient throughout the entire process, constantly asking if you are ok or if you need anything. I recommend seeing both her and her assistant as they not only helped me relax before the procedure, but also made my experience painless. There is some soreness after that last literally no more than 15 min and I am probably one of the most sensitive people you will ever meet. Without a shadow of a doubt, I highly recommend you see Dr. Marianna and her assistant Audrey if you want to experience a zen like, painless, and enjoyable root canal experience. I never thought having a root canal would be this good! Dr. Delgado was amazing! Before the procedure even started she gave me a guided tour of my tooth that she would be working on. She explained what was seen in the x-ray (the previous filling and the infected root) and explained the steps she planned to take during the root canal. They made the experience as relaxing as a root canal can be! Dr. Delgado made me very comfortable and used a cheek shaking technique so I wouldn't even feel the numbing shots. As I waited for the numbing to take effect I was offered a movie or music during the procedure. I opted for the movie and was fitted with headphones for my viewing pleasure. During the procedure, my headphones were moved in case Dr. Delgado needed to communicate with me. I had barely even made it through the beginning of the movie and the whole procedure was over! From the time I walked in to the time I walked out took about 2 hours. No pain once the numbing was gone. The next day I received a call from the office asking how I was doing and I have a complimentary check up appointment in six months. I never thought a root canal experience could be so great! read more
