I appreciate you taking the time to respond. And this is a reply to your response which is…read moreimportant for full transparency. I just wanted to clarify my experience -- short and simple- you confirmed an appt you didn't keep and then decided not to accept a project/work further because my tone of frustration (of which your lack of communications was the root cause ) was not acceptable. You say you "value mutual respect and clear communication in every client relationship. " Unfortunately, you didn't even communicate until I contacted you to ask if you were still coming. You left me waiting without notification so that's already contradictory to what you value. Management then chose not to continue to work with me because they felt the tone and nature of response was not acceptable after an apology The truth is...No one called to apologize or acknowledge the no show until after I called. You can't expect to gain respect if you don't give it. Although you had an emergency at 7am (our scheduled appt was 10am), it doesn't take more than 5 sec to send a quick message to cancel. You had 3 hours to cancel an appt you couldn't make. So it is for the same reason that I prefer not to work with your company. I also value respect and clear communication which did not occur with your tone and lack of accountability in how you handled the matter. Hopefully this feedback will help future prospective clients. And best of luck to Hub Chan Remodeling. I didn't have a chance to experience their excellent work as others have yelped but hope others get to. Just confirm your appt ahead of time.

In my experience, the work that was started did not meet expectations and appears to require significant correction. There were issues with dust control during the project. Concrete dust spread throughout my home. My brand new HVAC needs servicing, and duct cleaning as a result. I also have concerns regarding the deck framing. Several angles appear inconsistent, some boards appear to be cut short, and the installed drainage system does not appear to function as intended. Based on input I've received from others I've consulted, the deck framing may require partial or full reconstruction. I raised these concerns directly with the contractor in an effort to resolve them. After doing so, I was informed that further communication would need to go through their attorney. Since then, I have not received any follow-up or proposed resolution. I paid $17,500 upfront under contract. At this time, the agreed scope of work has not been completed, and no corrective action or refund has been offered. Currently, the project remains unfinished. There are openings in my walls, open electrical, a deck frame that appears to need removal and reconstruction debris, including a Bagster containing concrete and other materials, left on site. BBB reached out on my behalf and there was no response. This is reflected on Veteran Edition Handyman BBB page. A complaint was also filed with the AG. I encourage others to carefully review project details, payment terms, and expectations before proceeding with this contractor. https://www.veteraneditionservices.com/ https://www.bbb.org/us/ny/webster/profile/handyman/veteran-edition-handyman-0041-236028831 BRIAN & GEOFFREY KOGLER are the owners.
