It feels like every time I go, there is someone new, and sometimes they just don't seem experienced enough. The wax was extremely painful, and when I got home and actually looked closely, I realized I still had a LOT of hair left. I understand that waxing can be painful, but if I'm paying this much money for a service, I expect the job to actually be done properly. And then there's the tipping situation. They are constantly asking about tips, and honestly, I find that really uncomfortable and rude. If I want to leave a tip, I will. I don't need to be asked or reminded about it. Especially when the service wasn't even done properly. What really made me upset was that I tried calling the front desk afterward because I wanted to let them know that I still had so much hair left. They literally hung up on me. That says a lot about the customer service here. I'm really disappointed because I used to think European Wax Center was supposed to be a professional place. At this point, I would honestly rather go to a small local waxing boutique where they know their customers, actually care about the experience, and make you feel like your business is appreciated. For the amount of money we pay, including the tips they expect, I really don't think this level of service is acceptable. I'm done wasting my money here.

I returned on Monday to have the issue corrected, but the technician only lightly buffed the nails and applied an additional top coat. This did not resolve the underlying problems and, in fact, made the appearance worse. As a result, I had to seek services at another salon to have my nails properly fixed. I am very disappointed with both the initial quality of work and the lack of an adequate resolution.

I tried to become a regular for European Wax but their service and work did not mix well with me. I am currently located at #AspenHills #Rockville and I started looking for waxers. Wanting to find a place that feels like home and a safe space to be reborn every other 4-6 weeks. When I found Magdalen's page, the reviews automatically got my attention and decided to book being that she was 13-15 min away. The BEST decision I've made all year. When you enter, this particular smell that its so deliciously delicate welcomes you. Warning, in the beginning you will be confused and nervous because her method is so different from what everyone else is doing. But trust me when I say that it's less painful and more effective. I have thick hair and it grows really fast but after my first visit with Magdalen I noticed about only 60% of my hair growing back.
