DD Nail Salon is a new business in La Follette, TN. I stopped in for a manicure and a pedicure. It was such a welcomed surprise to see the impressive design, comfortable chairs, color selection, amount of employees working and a he professionalism. I had Ti y do both services and the massage was so relaxing. I never felt rushed and truly enjoyed myself. The steam you receive during your pedicure was such a nice treat and I have only seen that in Massachusetts. I was so pleased at how careful and meticulous To y was with my nail trim, shaping and then painting. I will definitely make this my regular spot from now on! I've gone twice, first time I got a pedicure and it was really good, today I got a pedicure and manicure, the pedicure was great but the manicure was very subpar. What I've noticed the most was the sanitation. I can't tell for sure the level of sanitation on the pedicures, it looks like the tools are on a bamboo plate and nothing looks very clean. THE MANICURE WAS WORSE! I literally had anxiety the whole time looking at the setup! The tools were sitting on a dirty book and definitely weren't sanitized, you could see that everything had residue on it. No sanitizer in sight, he filled up a hand bowl with cold water, no cuticle oil, nothing...I have to admit the end result was nice enough. BUT the cleanliness being nonexistent is a gigantic turnoff!! Also my manicurist obviously did not want to be there or be doing my manicure. It's a lot of money to go treat yourself, I expect more! read more

Let's start off with the positive - the spa is beautiful! Very clean and calming environment. You can even book an apt online. Now the not so good- My daughter and I went in for a manicure and pedicure. My daughter only got her nails painted. My daughter wanted 5 different colors and they told me that was $5 extra. Fine. But they charged me for a full children's manicure, along with the extra $5 and she just got her nails painted. When they did both my hands and toes they used a Dremel which now left gouges in my nail bed. I had nothing on my nails before this apt so I'm not sure why they used this tool. This tool also burned me in multiple places. Lastly, my pedicure person barely spoke any English so trying to explain the package I wanted was tough. He had to get another lady to help. I'm not upset in any way, it was just very hard to communicate what services I hoped to get. I enjoy the experience of talking to my nail tech and getting to know them. Overall, I LOVE the new spa but will not be back based on being over charged and the overall experience. read more
