Upon going outside, the ice was already stuck-frozen solid-and kept coming down so I figured, "Oh well." That "Oh well" quickly turned into a frigid "Oh hell" the following day. Even with the sun shining, the ice was stubborn & my house being situated on the shady side of the street also didn't help. Days went by & I dealt with it because I was warm & toasty inside & had plenty of junk food to keep me distracted. But then I realized that it was time to get my car warmed up & on the road so that the engine oil didn't thicken too much; that's when the frustration AKA panic set in. I couldn't find anyone to remove the ice! Sure, I neglected to buy de-icer at the hardware store a couple weeks before the storm, but I never NEEDED it in the past & I don't think anyone was truly prepared for Ice-mageddon. So I started Googling snow removal companies & that's when I found Benitez Landscaping Pro Services. I was apprehensive about contacting the company as there weren't many reviews to check out & those that were available focused on lawn care. But then I saw a couple 5-star reviews praising them for their snow removal services during the same winter storm & that's when I knew I had to hire them. I sent photos of what needed to be cleared, received a reasonable quote (hefty but reasonable for what was performed) & they were at my residence in no time! I complemented the lady I spoke with via telephone when the gentlemen were wrapping up the job at my home, telling her that it was such a relief that they delivered the services I desperately requested in such a timely fashion. When the company was run by Chris Davitt there was far more of an emphasis on customer service and employee appreciation; since his retirement the remaining VPs and Management have in my opinion run this companies reputation and performance into the DIRT... They're all about Ego and Competition!! I have heard from many customers over recent years that they either over prune or under prune; they tear up plants they shouldn't, and they basically just make it up as they go along. There is no structure to the training they provide if any training is even provided. It's a sink or swim mentality. I have worked closely with this company over many years and found there services to be Sub Par and way below average of their competitors. You have been forewarned!!! My advice is to choose any other company over Ruppert - Horrible people and terrible service!

They have been taking care of my landscaping for about 2 years. Their price is competitive with other companies that I contacted, perhaps just a bit more expensive. The requirement that they have when they provide service is that they perform three 'functions'. I have a very small area of grass and so I certainly do not need for them to mow this small area. The functions that they provide are mulching in the Spring, pruning and clean up during the summer and really throughout the year, and blowing the leaves in the fall. I really like the guys who come out to my home to do the work. The central problem with this company is that the supervision is inadequate, the training is poor and the communication between teams who come to your home is non-existent. Whenever I call the company, they are friendly and note down my preferences. Sometimes this info is communicated to the men who come to my home. Often it is not. When I see that the guys have arrived, they listen and do everything that I would want. But if not, then it just doesn't work. In addition, when they do have someone who knows what he's doing, how to take care of plants, the person leaves the company. The guys just do not understand landscaping or plants. This is where the severe lack of training is so obvious. It may be that my needs are different than many of their other customers, but the requests don't seem to be that complex. I suggest considering another company.

We walked through what we wanted, and Cara provided us with a sketch of her ideas and thoughts on paver types, moving a water drain, and other items. We approved the plans with a minor modification, and they got right to work. The workers came over early each day to work, and were great. They were also very considerate of our neighbors. Some of the work generated a ton of dust, and our neighbor voiced concerns about it flying into her yard. They made adjustments to minimize the dust. Our neighbor even commented to us how great they were about it. About 2 weeks later, we have an amazing backyard. We've got the furniture back there, along with plants in the stone-walled garden. it looks fantastic, and we could not be happier. The staff were courteous and professional. This company is definitely recommended!!

Responsiveness, punctuality, and responsibility are everything. DCP Tree Service has it all! BACKGROUND: I had a need to cut down a 20-ft tall, 8-in diameter trunk maple tree in my front yard. It is too big for a homeowner as a DIY job, and it is relatively too small for a big company. I spent several weeks to search and to call for estimates, and I got a few quotes. With a big name company, about 30 seconds into the phone call, the representative cut me off and told me that the minimum charge will be $400 regardless of the tree size. Small companies were not so responsive in returning my phone messages. So, I tried the last company on my list, DCP Tree Service. DCP TREE SERVICE: I found some pictures of this company on the Internet along with its crews and their work. They were all in uniform working with heavy equipment, etc. I talked to myself, "This gonna be another big name company that will cost me an arm and a leg!" Anyway, it was about 4 PM when I made a phone call to DCP Tree Service and left a message. About 4:30 PM, a gentleman (appeared as Dale Patterson on my phone's caller ID) called me back and set up an appointment. After finding out that my house was very close to his current job site at a nearby church, he offered an early appointment at 7:40 AM the very next morning before I left home for work. Promptly at 7:40 AM, Dale showed up. Within a few minutes, he offered a very decent estimate. I asked when he could start the job, and he responded, "Today if you want to! After finishing at the church, my crew will come here and work on your tree. I will follow afterward to grind the tree stump myself. There are too many Miss Utility's markings near the foot of the tree!" I was so happy and responded, "OK, deal!" About noon, my daughter sent me an email message with a subject line of "Good Bye Tree!" with some awesome photos. It was amazing! The tree was gone, the front yard was clean, and it was quiet. Of course, until Dale worked on the stump grinding, people in my house started noticing that someone was working in the front yard. It was 20 hours from the moment I placed the first phone call to the completion. Awesome! Really awesome! In summary, for contracting works, RESPONSIVENESS, PUNCTUALITY, and RESPONSIBILITY are everything. DCP Tree Service (specifically Dale Patterson) has it all. I had the pleasure to hire Dale Patterson with DCP Tree Serivice, Inc. and his crew to remove, trim and top multiple trees in my yard. All I can say is that DCP tree service knows what they are doing, including taking down leaners in threat of falling on my shed and my neighbors house. They did a clean professional job at a great price. I would recommend DCP for dependable tree removal anytime....especially difficult jobs.
