I am a firm believer that to grow positive gun culture and safeguard our rights, we must create an environment where curiosity amongst newcomers is welcomed with respectful supervision and correction from RSOs. This relationship goes both ways between the establishment and newcomer. If you choose to explore and learn at BlueCore, know that the person instructing you is responsible for not only your safety, but the safety of others. Lack of maintenance or reinvestment of Blucore's funds back into the target retrieval system, 2. Minimal lighting within the 100 yds range and shooters booths, 3. shooter's booth table tops are loose, need to be recovered and extremely hazardous to the shooter, 4. trip hazard on the flooring, and 5. the air purification and fresh air recycling system is deplorable and is extremely dangerous health hazard to the shooters. In conclusion, I'm having a difficult time understanding why the owners are not reinvesting funds back into BluCore Shooting Range to make this an Elite and Safe shooting environment for their customers. I hope there will be change soon at this facility.

My biggest complaint is that I have maintained a membership to teach my kids how to shoot. The staff is in caring and in hospital to teaching kids. With no consideration for one family to use a single lane with one person shooting at a time ... on a mostly vacant range. Even if those who are not shooting are waiting in a vehicle. The club has mismanaged members funds for years with a lot going to subsidize skeet and trap tournaments for non members. For the rifle/pistol range there are no provisions for members to practice multiple targets or train for IDPA/action pistol or 3 gun competitions. The range is often sporadically closed making it difficult at times to use the range. When competitions are hosted they call cease fires every 5-10 minutes. For 5 -10 minutes making it extremely difficult for others to use the range. At other times the member who happens to be the RO while actively shooting will go for 45minutes plus before calling a cease fire. Resulting in others waiting to setup/clean up for extended periods. This pertains to the ENTIRE range for cease fires. The Skeet and trap ranges are open to the public, but members using primarily the rifle range have to subsidize it. The club does not offer any classes or promote or host any NRA classes or events. The club is failing in promoting marksmen-ship or outreach to grow the shooting community. I'll be investing my money and time elsewhere and regret wasting thousands of dollars on membership dues.

The staff has no idea how to treat "customers" AKA new members. I don't think they care to have new members and did not go out of their way to get me to join which is a red flag. I don't understand the NRA membership requirement, whether a person is a member of the NRA or not is inconsequential and should not be a requirement for membership; the NRA has proven themselves on a national stage to be one of the worst organizations in the country and not a good gauge for membership. There are very few choices in this area perhaps this is how they can get away with the high prices.

Competitive play is one thing... Allowing unsafe behavior to continue after it has been reported is something very different. When my sons were playing, unsafe conduct was brought to the attention of staff, including behavior that should have been stopped immediately. Instead of stepping in, taking control, and addressing the issue, the situation was allowed to continue and escalate. Multiple people were getting hurt, concerns were raised, and there was no meaningful sense of urgency from the referees or staff to restore order and make sure rules were being enforced. What concerns me most is not only the behavior of one player, but the lack of accountability from the adults responsible for managing the field. When a business creates an environment where safety complaints are minimized, poor behavior is not corrected, and the people raising concerns are treated like the problem, that reflects a serious leadership failure. As a parent, I would be very uncomfortable dropping my child off in an environment like this and trusting that safety would be the top priority. As a customer, I would expect a business owner to take these issues seriously and ensure staff are capable of making sound decisions in the moment. Based on our experience, that did not happen.
