This place is extremely unprofessional. The sales reps are rude especially Claudia. The general manager is not on the same page with the sales reps. There are so many better places to rent from that are more professional like Rental Works of Arlington. Please don't waste your time. read more

The word "appointment", from the American Heritage Dictionary, means "An arrangement to do something or meet someone at a particular time and place." It does not mean ignore me for 30 minutes while all 3 staff members pay rapt attention to a bride's stemware decision. If you don't want my business, tell me up front rather than waste my time. I called Dc Rental for an item I was trying to use for my party and I tried my best to explain what is was very nicely "a tall column to use as a cake stand" how complicated is that? but the lady I was speaking to "Kathleen" was very rude and did not want to help, she responded to me like I was stupid! I understand it could be frustrating trying to help people on the phone but if you want peoples business it doesn't hurt to be a little nicer! read more

Meant to post this review for an event last year in April but realized I didn't finish posting it. I don't know where to begin with how awesome DC rental is. They dropped off the requested equipment right on time. They provided a bartender for us, Americo, who is also skilled at event setup. He was a hard worker and was great at helping us stack the various tables and chairs for our event, and was great overall. Most impressively, 1 hour and 10 minutes before our dinner started, our caterer informed us they forgot the linen napkins. We called dc rental and within 45 minutes they brought napkins, single handedly saving our dinner event. There was an extra delivery fee for this (but hey, the caterer failed, so that's on them). Our event went so well thanks to dc rental, and I will be a loyal customer as I know we can rely on them for good service in the future. read more

I used DC Party Rentals for an office open house. I needed tables, linens, glasses, etc. Booking with the company was very easy and the representative was very nice. Unfortunately, the moving guys were having a bad day or something. The space is tight in the office and I asked the moving guys to place the large pieces in certain areas so we could: 1. Still move around the office 2. I (5 feet 1 inch) wouldn't need to move the 150 wine glasses (literally a four and a half foot racked stack.) We really didn't rent a whole lot. Maybe four tables, 150-200 wine glasses, linens, and some cupcake towers. But we were having a wine tasting so had boxes and boxes of wine as well as a plenty of books for a book signing. I literally just wanted to them to put the wine glasses in one corner, a table in each corner, and the final table in the other room. I didn't even need them to unpack or set up the tables. I would do that myself. You'd think since it was on the dolly and all that, its not too big of a deal to unload ten feet this way, ten feet that way, or in the room next door. Instead, I got attitude that they only drop it off... So everything got dropped off at the door which made for a great bottleneck when it would have taken these guys 4 minutes to drop the tables and glass rack where I had requested. read more

I contacted DC Rental to get a quote for a basic speaker package for a family event. They have listed on their website a "Basic Speaker Package" so I requested a quote for that specifically (and included a link to the page with the package.) The person I emailed with asked me questions instead of just supplying me with a quote for that package, and didn't seem familiar with the package. I replied within two minutes and again included a link with the page to their website with the package. She emailed me back AGAIN asking more questions, and still no quote. I again replied very quickly. I heard nothing back for two days, including no response to a follow up email. On Monday morning, I got a curt response saying they were not open on weekends. Meaning, if you need to return equipment over a weekend, you have to opt for a delivery/pick-up fee! There was still no quote either. She eventually got back to me with another curt reply that contained a quote. I already had misgivings about this place, but the quote was twice what other places have quoted me for the same time frame and equipment! I'd say save your time and your money and look elsewhere. read more

Caveat: I did not work directly with DC Rental, my caterer and wedding planner did, though. Based on conservations with her, I knew that DC Rental had an incredible inventory to meet our needs. Our wedding was at Eastern Market and we wanted a vintage feel to our rentals. Eastern Market, though, is a blank slate. You have to bring in everything you might need - from knives and forks, to catering equipment, to tables and chairs. Our caterer secured through DC Rental everything she needed for meal prep, as well as linens, chairs, coordinating chair pads, place settings, and even colored wine glasses (that added such a richness to the table). And all of this was wallet friendly. Everything we secured through DC Rental was top notch, and delivery and take-down was incredibly smooth. read more

Customer serve with sales reps are non existent. They have a wide variety of inventory but you can never get an appointment to see anything! If you request swatches it's always late or the sales rep forgets which linens you wanted a sample of. I have attempted to use this company many times and always end up hiring some one else because of the terrible customer service from the "assigned sales rep" and front desk person. You would think if you had a dedicated sales rep that you could count on decent service. read more

I love DC Party Rentals. They always make my life easy. I have been dealing with this location for so many years. They are the BEST. From service, to products, to pricing, etc.... It is very, very difficult to try to rent from this place. The lady who answered the phone wanted everything except blood to transfer me to the sales team, which she never did. If this was just trying to get pricing, I can't imagine if something got mixed up and I really needed assistance. read more

I had a very small order through them for my wedding and my partner and I went and picked up the order and dropped off at event's end. Was super convenient and no frills, exactly what I needed. Cannot speak to larger orders or delivery/set up, but for what I needed, it was perfect. read more

I had a great experience renting from DC Party Rentals. They made it very easy for me to see what products were available, and to select items that fit within my price range. I picked up and dropped off the furniture myself to avoid paying a delivery fee and it couldn't have been easier at the warehouse. I will be working with them again! read more

I was very happy with their customer service and demo room appointment. It was until I made my visit and asked for an estimate that I was disappointed. I guess my 50 people party was too small of an order for them to respond within 3-4 days. I called A Grand Event and requested the same quote, it was sent to me within 12 hrs. read more
