    Michael's Flowers

Disappointed is an understatement for our first impression of this location…read more We came in looking for a Mother's Day bouquet and were greeted by Amber (an older woman with white hair). When we explained what we were looking for, she simply told us to "look around and see what you like." The shop floor mostly consisted of cases of sad-looking flowers, with no catalog, examples, or real direction on bouquet sizing or pricing. When we asked about pricing, we were told bouquets started at $50, then $70, then $90 for premium arrangements. We pointed to a few bouquets waiting for pickup to get an idea of what those price points actually looked like, and she advised those arrangements were around $50-$60. The entire interaction already felt rushed and dismissive. We explained we wanted mostly purple flowers with some white and pink mixed in. She suggested a $70 bouquet and vase, which we agreed to and paid for. We were told it would take 30-40 minutes. We even asked if we could pick it up the next day, but she told us they'd be too busy and that we should get it that day instead. While checking out, I asked if I could purchase additional flower food. Her response was, "What I gave you is what you can get." After I clarified that I was offering to buy more, she then said, "If you want to buy a bunch we can probably do that." At that point it was obvious she wasn't really listening to us. When we returned 30 minutes later, the bouquet was mostly greenery with only about 9 flower stems. For a $70 arrangement, we expected something much fuller and with significantly more purple flowers, as requested. I politely explained that I didn't love the appearance and asked what could be done to add more flowers and reduce the greenery. Without hesitation, Amber responded: "More money." At that point, we were honestly ready to request a refund because of the attitude and lack of customer service. She then got the manager, who offered to swap out some of the greenery and roses for other flowers. About 5-10 minutes later, the bouquet was noticeably fuller, with more purple flowers and less filler. Unfortunately, the manager didn't say another word to us afterward and simply placed the bouquet on the counter before quickly disappearing into the back room. As she was packing the vase into a box, Amber grabbed a single packet of flower food and said "for your troubles" before placing it in the flower box. I understand Mother's Day is a busy holiday, but the entire experience felt rushed, dismissive, and shockingly impersonal. After leaving, we browsed their website and saw full bouquets in the $50-$60 price range which only highlighted the quality of bouquet we should have initially received. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere if you're hoping for thoughtful customer service and a positive experience while purchasing flowers for someone special. Two stars since the manager did correct the bouquet.

I take back the five star review below…read more Called on a tuesday to order flowers for mother's day: wanted to have it sent early so that she could enjoy at work (can't send flowers to her house: kids are highly allergic). I called, and the lady was a bit hard of hearing - though that was probably due to the fact that she had the tv on full blast on the background.) So after yelling out my credit card number, I said I had a budget of $65 for a big, bold, bright arrangement. Lady said not a problem. I was confident - I'd ordered from Elliot's before and the arrangements were always lovely. Well, I visited on Mother's Day, and she'd brought the arrangement home. It was a dinky little basket arrangement of brightly colored carnations. THAT WAS $65? Are you kidding me? It looked like those boring arrangements that you get at the grocery store (that cost no more than $20). It was no taller than a sheet of paper, was nothing but carnations and filler. AWFUL and disappointing. Taking my business elsewhere from now on. (Edited to add: called on 5/11 to see if they can either refund me some of my money to be commensurate to the "arrangement" they'd sent, or even re-send a proper bouquet to my mom. Got some other lady who apparently didn't care enough about keeping a long-time customer. Good to know - I'll take my business elsewhere and make sure that Yelpers and anyone who would Google florists in Woodbridge would know Elliots is not concerned about customer service, fairness or honesty.)

The 6 yellow tulips were delivered Thursday and were very large and pretty. By Friday there were serious brown spots appearing. By Saturday they were ugly. I called Elliott's Florist and let them know what had happened. The lady was appalled and said they should NOT have done that. She said that Monday a new arrangement would be delivered and swapped for the damaged ones. Monday's delivery arrived and the size of the tulips was a fraction of the original. They weren't as far bloomed yet but they were pitiful in comparison. Check out the photos for yourself. I know now where I will NOT be getting flowers from any longer.

I stopped in around Mother's Day and was amazed by the pricing. Their pre-made bouquets were around $30 and were huge, gorgeous, and far better than anything you'd get at a grocery store for the same price. The florist is wonderful, and every arrangement looks unique, fresh, and high-end. You can truly tell the flowers are quality. Definitely order ahead for major holidays because they get busy. Even though Eden Center parking can be chaotic, I will absolutely keep coming back because the beauty, size, and value of these bouquets are unmatched.

The owner spent almost an hour with me a week prior to pickup to talk about the arragnement including what color flowers, price and size of the arrangement. He wrote in a spiral notebook and added me to the computer system. As requested, I called and left a detailed message but never heard back. I even received a text message saying that they would call me back - the owner claimed it was an AI error. When I went to pick up the arrangement - there was no arragement - and the owner acted like he had never seen me before. In my grief, I lashed out and eventually apologized. What is mind blowing is that the owner could not admit his mistake. Clearly he had messed up and the appropriate thing to do would have apologized. Instead he said the customer is NEVER right and threw us out of the store.

It saddened me to write this review for Poppin Perfections but unfortunately it's a way for me to…read morevent as well. First off - I have not ever patronized the business however I did have the "pleasure" of interacting with the owner La Keisha Peters, over a 2 day time span recently. I was unlucky enough to have to an email address that is highly sought after so many people do a variation of it and I receive others email messages very often. Normally its pretty entertaining and a simple response of wrong email address stops it for a week or so. On 2/5/18 I received a PayPal Invoice from Poppin Perfections for $113.42. At first I thought it was a phishing/ scam attempt so I logged on to my PayPal app without clicking the email. To my surprise the invoice is there with someone else's information and their order. I attempted to cancel the invoice without any success. 24 hours later it starts sending reminders for me to pay it. I call Paypal and explain the situation - then my call is escalated to a manager in which I am explained that - as the buyer have no rights to delete an invoice - it becomes part of my history with Paypal. My options are it can be cancelled and remain pending on my Paypal account forever or I can contact the company that sent it and they can DELETE IT not CANCEL IT Easy fix right ? I email Poppin Perfections and let them know of their PayPal invoice mistake and in a country where "Superior Customer Service" is plus the Owner will assist me. Right? Wrong answer - I provided screenshots and attempted to have the Ms Peters assist me with a resolution to getting my PayPal account fixed and the invoice deleted by asking her to call PayPal and request it deleted without success. Instead I receive response emails from her stating she didn't send me the invoice and it was PayPal's fault. When speaking with a manager from PayPal - She stated there was 2 invoices sent in a 24 hour span and mine was first. So it was definitely a mistake of a typo- My frustration is own up to it and take 5 -15 mins and help me resolve the issue. Nope that didn't happen so now I give up and will have to LIVE with a pending but CANCELLED invoice that will remain pending on my Paypal account forever. When I open my app - I see PENDING then Poppin Perfections Ive never been a business owner but I sell alot of high end items on eBay and when my customers email me - I go out my way to make them happy- One for "Karma" and Two "Customer Service". I was not a customer of Poppin Perfections and never will be. Funny thing about "Karma" my son is getting married in 4 weeks and I am in charge of the sweets table. If this could have worked out as a simple mistake made right - I would have seen this as SIGN to become a Poppin Perfections customer and order 6x the amount of that forever pending PayPal invoice the owner refused to assist with.
