The Iwo Jima Memorial is directly opposite the Top of the Town building. Floor-to-ceiling windows look out over the Potomac River and have views of all the significant buildings in Washington, DC. The inside is spacious - we had 92 guests seated at ten tables, and there was plenty of space for the dance floor, drinks table, and dessert table. We also took advantage of the outside patio because we had great weather, and after sunset, many of us went outside to watch the full moon rise. Catering was provided by Genesis Delight Catering, a company that has experience serving food at TotT and knows the kitchens. The event staff at the TotT are experienced and friendly and will ensure that your event is the best it can be. We enthusiastically recommend this event space. Sheridan Dalier, the event coordinator at TotT, provided generous assistance before our event when we were in the planning stages. She was friendly, experienced, and very helpful. When we learned we could hire Sheridan to help us during our party to take care of the final set-up, last-minute fixes, and any surprises, we gave an enthusiastic "Yes, please." For example, she ensured the audio-visual system had the correct cord to show our slides. She kept track of the gifts we received. She handled questions and requests from our guests. As the evening's event coordinator, Sheridan's help was important, making a great evening even better! We enthusiastically recommend Sheridan Dalier's services as event coordinator.

Helena had great food suggestions and were pleased with all of her recommendations. We were unsure we would meet the amount of seat requirements for reserving the ballroom, but Helena worked with us and we ended up having around 119 guests with 14 tables. Our package included cocktail hour (food, space, setup, & open bar),cake, DJ, reception flowers, catering, location, linens, 3 hours open bar, wine for table, champaign toast, setup, and breakdown. The linen selection was also nice with some satin and spandex options. We used gold as out color. The vendors they included in the package are well rated in their own right and were very easy to work with in tandem with the Officers' Club. We selected Alexandria Pastry Shop for the cake, Wilson Florist of Rosslyn for the flowers, and JK Music for the DJ. The day of the staff was extremely helpful and the reception went smoothly. I wish they would have steamed the linens. The food was excellent, we wish we could have tried more of our cocktail hour food but we were so busy chatting with all our guests. The only thing you will really have to do or designate friends/family to do at this location is set-up your "details" like table numbers, escort cards, table decorations, etc.

When I found Superlative Events, I never looked back. He ships them to me and they're always on time and come with a return label. The price is affordable. I can adjust the lighting to any shade of any color unlike other up lights that are either one color or another. There is a color wheel on the remote that you can finesse the shade of the color. And then with a couple of taps of the remote, then you can make them into dance floor lighting. They are superb and Brian is fabulous to work with and a very nice man. I highly recommend this company. I have been using them for numerous years now. I do events every weekend and so I have a lot of opportunity to work with these lights and I'm always receiving compliments at how wonderful the room looks and the dance floor after dinner dancing looks!

Other units like American DJ, etc. are just the color but not the shade of the color. Brian always ships them on time and it comes with a return label and after my party, the next day, I just drop them off at the nearest UPS. Easy!
