He was incredibly thorough, immediately understood what bothered me, and explained in great detail how he'd approach each concern. When I finally met him in person on September 12th, I was almost two hours late thanks to D.C. traffic and baggage claim chaos. I was mortified but his staff couldn't have been more kind or accommodating. They never made me feel rushed or dismissed, which completely calmed my nerves. And side note: his office is stunning, right in the heart of D.C., modern, and immaculate. During the in-person consult, Dr. Rad recorded a video walkthrough of everything we planned to do, including my comments and concerns. We decided to break my surgery into two phases because of my work schedule. I didn't want to be excessively swollen. Phase One Procedures: * Canthoplasty * Fat grafting to temples, forehead, under-eyes, and lips * Bullhorn lip lift I had way too much old filler in my lips, and Dr. Sherber (who works with Dr. Rad & married to him) kindly stayed after hours to dissolve it before surgery. She was so sweet, and I'm honestly grateful! By the weekend, I couldn't believe how overfilled my lips had been before. Surgery Day: Monday morning came fast. The surgery took place at a trauma hospital, so while it was a bit hectic, everything went smoothly. I woke up about 6.5 hours later, and Dr. Rad checked in to tell me everything went beautifully. His post-op nurse, Donna, was an absolute lifesaver. She stayed with me for 48 hours after surgery and took incredible care of me. Especially during the first 12 hours when I couldn't stop throwing up (I'm super sensitive to anesthesia). She never left my side until I stabilized. By Wednesday, Dr. Rad removed my drains, and on Friday, my lip lift stitches came out. My husband and I even went sightseeing with no issues (weather was perfect)I flew home that Sunday and recovery has been smooth sailing ever since. Any time I've had a question day or night his office has been lightning-fast to respond. Coming from the West Coast, I've seen my share of top Beverly Hills surgeons (even had a rhinoplasty with one of em that's a story for another time), but Dr. Rad stands out above them all. He genuinely cares about your well-being, results, and experience from start to finish. This isn't a paid review, I just believe that when someone goes above and beyond, they deserve to be recognized. If you're on the fence or considering him, this is your sign: 10/10, would do it again in a heartbeat.

Only to be told that I need to use the iPad to self login. No one asked me to do it when I first arrived. 2) financing. Worst office if there is one. Then I checked with the financing, only to be told that I needed to call their landline because the office did not support it. I asked for the codes to be billed . Nothing. Just a waste of time to navigate all these. 3) the dermatologist is the worst. It is a female young doctor who didn't care much. I was there for medical instead of cosmetic issues. Then she suggested a procedure even though she said she only knew 99.9 percent of the cause but still needed to do a biopsy . she told me that it is simple procedure , I thought it was scrapping some skin off for testing. Then it turned out I needed to get lump in the area and they needed stitches. For me it didn't worth that much procedure just scrapping off some skin. Of course they could then charge more on my bill , including subsequent visit. Terrible. Then the doctor recommended not on the pills but direct injection. I asked about the price and she said most insurance should cover it without the price. When I got home I checked the price and it was over 3000$ per month after insurance. That is really malpractice for something not intense or severe. I would be better off with some cream . Overall that's the situation why we pay extra for US doctors... but no good services . totally a ripoff . Never go there! You will regret.

I had a disappointing experience with Dr. Perkins and would not return to see him…read more The office itself was nice, and I had no issues with the medical or administrative staff. My concern was specifically with Dr. Perkins' bedside manner. I came in with fairly straightforward questions about acne and anti-aging skincare, but throughout the appointment I felt extremely rushed. He spoke very quickly through his explanations and didn't seem to leave much room for questions. When I did try to ask questions, he frequently spoke over me, and his responses sometimes made me feel as though my questions were strange or unreasonable. At one point I tried to take notes because he was giving me information so quickly, and his reaction came across to me as visibly impatient, which made the interaction even more uncomfortable. To be fair, he did ultimately give me the information I needed, and my criticism isn't about his medical knowledge. It's about the way the appointment was conducted. I left feeling talked down to and rushed rather than like I had been able to have a normal conversation with my doctor. For patients who value having time to ask questions and discuss their concerns without feeling hurried, I think this is worth knowing.

I had a deeply distressing experience with Dr. Anju Pabby at DC Derm Docs. During a routine follow-up for neurotoxin treatment, Dr. Pabby proposed a procedure for a tiny ingrowth on the nose and characterized it as an easy fix with very quick healing. No discussion of potential scarring, structural indentation, or aftercare requirement occurred. The procedure caused severe redness and persistent surface indentation. In a follow-up visit, I was prescribed some antibiotics and verbal assurance of resolution after a week, that the remaining mark would diminish to be "smaller than your pore." After two months of carrying a nose with a red indent on its focal point, I could no longer trust Dr. Pabby's words. I consulted a professor and Chief of Dermatology at a teaching hospital in Boston who diagnosed me with "post-inflammatory erythema nosetip [sic] s/p cosmetic procedure - shallow depression with PIE on nose tip (LOC)" and recommended future corrective interventions including Pulsed Dye Laser (PDL) and microneedling. In my third visit with Dr. Pabby, she claimed, contrary to fact, that I cancelled meetings. (The attached portal messages record was all the written communication I received before the third visit.) Confronted with the diagnosis from the Boston doctor, she said "hit it with a little laser today just to help it go a little faster. I like this idea of micro-needling it." Then Dr. Pabby asked Dr. Marilyn Berzin to give her opinion. First, Dr. Berzin said doing the procedure today would be a mistake. I was then shocked to be informed that the original procedure to remove the ingrowth on my nose was for a fibroma and it is never completely 100% removed and can grow back in time and that the redness and indentation will likely take 6 months to a year to diminish. I had a tiny ingrowth and now I am confronting a red spot with an indent on my nose which is far more noticeable. Had I known that my nose would have a red dot for months, that there would be an indent, that I had to apply antibiotics for months, that the healing time would be at least six months or more, and the fibroma could ultimately regrow, leaving me where I was before, I would have refused the procedure. I told Dr. Berzin that none of these details were communicated to me as part of informed consent prior to Dr. Pabby removing the ingrowth. Dr. Berzin responded, "Again, that is between you and Dr. Pabby." It is disheartening to see the clinic failing to provide basic informed consent and resorting to a generic waiver as defense. To this day, I am still confused by how a doctor can fail to accurately inform me of the recovery time for a procedure, still confused by how the doctor never informed me of the biopsy diagnosis until months later by way of a third doctor. Faced with a second opinion from my Boston doctor, she advised to "hit it with laser" that very day, only to have a senior colleague immediately declare that doing so would be harmful. In my opinion, this feels like the doctor either lacks the expertise to resolve the negative effects of a procedure she herself recommended and executed; or simply lacks basic principled clinical judgement to the confusion of a patient. As an ethicist trained in the basics of medical ethics, I am deeply disappointed in the behaviors provided here. read more

It took me forever to find a place in DC where I could get laser hair removal and some help to reduce the awful and persistent cellulite in my legs. All the clinics in the city charge about 250 for the first consultation (where they literally just explain things)! To my pleasant surprise DC Derm Docs offered the first consultation, for these services, for free and they are in downtown DC!! I got Daniela for my first appointment and she has been great! First, she was super candid at explaining the options to treat the cellulite and recommended Zwave for my legs. So I scheduled right away. (I work out regularly and eat super healthy, but it never seems enough for the cellulite to go away. My butt and legs are just cellulite walking. Also, I had an awful bump in my butt from a time I fell 15 years ago, and every time I gain weight the bump gets super visible.) After Daniela's recommendation, I completed the 6 Zwave treatments, and I can definitely see a change. My skin feels smoother and firmer, and the appearance of cellulite in my butt has significantly reduced. Daniela has been super helpful at recommending additional things that I could do to keep good circulation in my legs. I will definitely come back for more Zwave and to complete the hair laser removal with Daniela. read more

I am so happy I chose DC Derm Docs for my botox and filler treatment! I am ecstatic with my results! Even better than I had hoped for! I was treated professionally and empathetically before, during and after my treatments. I was a little nervous about how much the treatments would hurt, but they applied numbing gel to the treatment areas and I was shocked and relieved that it really didn't hurt at all. And the results...WOW!!! I am 61 years old and I look like I'm in my late 40's. No more deep forehead wrinkles, waaayyyy less crows feet, jowls gone, laugh lines gone and my skin is smooth and glowing! It's like having a magic eraser! I wish I would have done this sooner! I was fully prepared to do the consult since I was already there and then politely decline and never come back. However, Dr. Drysdale more than made up for it. He's not what I would expect from a doc at a Med spa; I expected someone who was going to tell me about everything that was wrong with me and try to sell me every treatment under the sun. He did the opposite. He said, "a lot of people come in here and don't like anything about themselves, but everyone has something nice about their face. I don't care if it's only one little tooth, there's still something beautiful in everyone." Swear I'm not bullshitting. Totally unexpected and definitely got my attention. He gave really thorough explanations about why he recommended the the things he did, and all of them made sense. He also explained why I didn't need to do some of the things I wanted to, and actually made me feel better about myself before I even agreed to do anything. It might be part of a sales technique, but if it makes me feel better about what I naturally have, then I'm definitely buying in. My experience with Dr Drysdale is he wants to help me feel my best. I will definitely say he's a little random sometimes, but I don't mind at all. He asks me what I'm trying to do and helps me get there instead of pushing me to do something I'm not interested in. On my second visit back, the rude girls were gone and the nice receptionist remained. I'm happy going in there now, and I'm happy to see Dr Drysdale. All his recommendations have been on the money. There was only one time I felt like a procedure wasn't working, I was scheduled in immediately and he fixed it right away. Can't give enough props to him or his new staff. From the moment you walk in, Corbin (the owner) makes you feel welcomed and taken care of. His professionalism and customer service truly set the tone for the entire experience. Rachel is an absolute artist and expert in aesthetic medicine. I received Botox and lip filler from her, and the results are incredible -- effective, natural, and exactly the kind of subtle glow-up you want. She has a very skilled eye and focuses on enhancing your features rather than overdoing anything. She recommended Dysport for my Botox treatment, which lasted over 3 months, and used Restylane Kysse for my lips. The filler smoothed the lines in my lips and gave me a fuller, hydrated, juicy pout while still looking completely natural. What I appreciate most is that Rachel genuinely cares about her clients. She always makes sure we know about promotions, deals, memberships, and even HSA options so treatments are more accessible. If you want natural-looking Botox, beautiful lip filler, and a team that truly cares about their clients, Rachel and the Vitalify team are the people to see. Highly recommend.
