I have been coming here for years for a variety of treatments. I was surprised to see the review about the front receptionists because I have greeted them both on numerous occassions over the years. The only time I have seen issues arise is when people don't want to pay or don't want to follow the rules of the office. I've had easy experiences with laser hair removal. They have lasers that have actually really work on African American skin and have dramatically decreased the amount of hair that I have. read more

-I've seen Dr. Pabby twice now and she is definitely a procedure "pusher." The first time I saw her, I went in for Dysport but she said she really didn't like Dysport (didn't give a reason) and insisted I do Daxxify instead, saying it would last longer (spoiler, it did not lol). I got the vibe that she was being incentivized by the salesperson who sold her Daxxify to push it on patients. The second time I saw her, I insisted on Dysport, and she kept interrupting me when I told her where I wanted it. Then as she was injecting me, she was asking me if I've ever considered other procedures and I said no and she went "No? Really?" in a clearly disappointed voice. This chick is all about the $$$. -Dr. Pabby also overcharges (I know this based on other dermatologists I've been to) but based on the above, are we really surprised? lol read more

I have had multiple laser hair removal treatments with Daniella in 2022. The treatments were completely ineffective. She is scared to turn the laser up because I am African American (light-skinned by the way). I wasted time and money. I also found Daniella rude and discourteous. I agree with my fellow Yelpers -- the staff are rude and this has been a change for the worse in the last couple of years. I'll start this review by saying that (years ago) Dr. Isaacson was instrumental in clearing up my skin. So for that, I am grateful. My more recent experience with DC Derm Docs has unfortunately not been one that I've enjoyed. The past several times I've called over the last few months (for different issues), I've experienced an extremely rude front desk staff. The woman on the phone would cut me off, sound dismissive of my issues, and overall her attitude was snarky as if she didn't want to waste her time talking to me. At the end, when I told her to have a good day, she merely hung up--after not being able to help me at all. I also haven't been able to get an appointment with Dr. Isaacson for quite some time now. His availability feels extremely limited if not non-existent. This is not the first review I've seen about the front desk staff--and I do hope it is addressed. Dr. Pabby is new to this group, but she's a great addition. Aside from her skills and concern for her patients, she also is sympathetic to their concerns. She answered all the questions I had about my skin issue, and she did surgery for a cell problem almost immediately. I paid hundreds of dollars for laser hair removal from this business. I was told that I have the ideal skin/hair combination for it to work and that I could expect results within the first couple of months. I paid in advance for a package. After 2-3 treatments, I repeatedly told that the treatment didn't seem to be working, that I was seeing no results, and that I wanted to discuss alternative treatments or increasing the strength of the treatment. My concerns were blown off completely, and they just kept saying to be patient. I couldn't get either of the two technicians I saw to listen to me, and when I asked to speak to their supervisor or someone more experienced about my concerns, they simply refused. Calls and emails to the practice to complain were never returned. I never saw any results, and now I'm out several hundred dollars. I do not recommend this business, both because the promised service didn't work, and because they ignored my concerns and blew me off. read more

This office is terrible. The front desk staff is rude and not helpful, and Dr. Isaacson tries to make you feel like you need more done and upsells you on products. Let me start by saying this is the first time I've gone to the trouble of leaving a review for anyone. I would leave zero stars but that is not an option. I just dealt with the most insanely rude receptionist who kept interrupting me and talking over me, taking a agitated tone and raising her voice, all because she did not understand what I was actually asking nor would she let me get a word in edgewise to explain. I was really interested in coming to this practice but I'm so disgusted by the way their front desk staff treats patients that I canceled my appointment. I can not explain how happy I am with the latest service I had done at DC Derm Docs. I had bought a dress a couple months ago for an upcoming wedding, and it definitely was a little snug in my back area. I figured I had a couple months to try and fit into it better before I had to wear it. While coming in for an appt. here, I noticed that they offered a lot of different body contouring devices. I explained my concern and they put me on a treatment plan. Needless to say, the wedding was last night. I nervously put on my dress hoping it would fit better. To my amazement, it fit like a glove. I have been going to Dr. Marilyn Berzin for all of the 18 years I have lived in DC. Their office is run like clock work. You never have to wait and the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Their Covid protocols are perfect and you really feel safe going to their office. While I had a very professional experience dealing with Daniella to schedule a consultation appointment, I had the exact opposite experience dealing with Samantha. Samantha called and left me a voicemail at 9:52 am, I returned the call at 9:56 am. She asked me why I was calling so I said I believe it was her voice on my voicemail asking me to call and then gave her my name and date/time of the appointment. Since she wasn't listening, she asked me again for the reason I was calling. When I started to repeat the story, she said, "Just give me your information". When I repeated the information yet again, she said "I just need your name and DOB." I asked her why she didn't say that from the beginning and her response became snarky. I cancelled my consultation appointment since I refuse to deal with people like Samantha.
