It took 3 months just to get my DBA filed. First they submitted a check for $5.00 short then the county kicked back my file which added 30 additional days. I have been emailing nonstop asking for publication updates and no reply back from this company. FYI - if you need to get a DBA same day, go to the OC court house. I filed my DBA at the Los Angeles County Clerk office, and noticed on Yelp that Mr. Lee's DBA filing business was not only just around the corner but also does DBA publications for less than $30! Publishing your DBA in an LA newspaper for 4 weeks is a requirement as part of the DBA process, and almost all newspapers charge $30 or more if I were to do it myself! So I decided to visit Mr. Lee, and I'm so glad I did! He took care of the paperwork and let me know I'll get a confirmation after the publication period is complete. I used DBA 4 LESS after I got their postcard in the mail. Their cost was $25 versus $40 to $49 for others to publish my dba renewal notice for my sole proprietorship. It was easy to pay online through Paypal, and a week later I called, and the lady who answered referred me to the head honcho, Lee, who explained when I'd get the confirmation of publication and how he keeps his cost lower than others. During my call I realized my dba name had been spelled incorrectly by another company when the renewal application was notarized. Lee offered to straighten it out with L.A. County for me, and he gave me the number, should I prefer to correct the problem myself. I called the County, and within minutes my company's name was corrected by a lady named Niki and it was verified online at www.lavote.net before the COB. That's a relief! Had an awful experience with this place. To make a long, unpleasant experience short. I paid online for their Publishing service and received a receipt from Paypal. I waited for other confirmation from DBA4Less that my publishing had been processed and received nothing. I called and asked and was told that they couldn't give me any other information and that the Paypal receipt was confirmation of publishing. I needed to make sure that the correct FBN was published and was uneasy, since they only asked for my business name. After some time, I realize that they indeed published the wrong FBN and when i tried to address it with them, all i received were rude responses, blame, and snarly remarks like, "nice rant." I have never dealt with a company so uninterested in customer satisfaction. They have not offered a solution, an apology, or even a reply to my last inquiry. I still don't know what happened, nor do i have details about my publishing from them and i am now out $ and my FBN! Small business and low pricing is no excuse for Awful service! read more
