Didn't expect a grocery store kitchen to be this good. Came here specifically to eat chola bhatura and wasn't disappointed at all. Chola curry was not oily at all and was flavorful as well. For $7.99, the quality and quantity was great. I just wished bhatura was more fluffy. Also tried baba idli based on staff suggestions and liked it a lot. It didn't come with any chutney, we had to ask for it. Peanut chutney was also yummy. Now few things to highlight here: first the menu is super small to read, I highly suggest to get bigger screen or paste the menu posters on wall. Same for music, it's far away from the food court sitting area. TV screen is also small. Also when the food gets ready, they call your name but it's hard to hear/plus you can't see the item from the sitting area. Request management to take an action on this.

It is an Indian grocery store, crammed into a small space with hard to access grocery if you have more than 4 people in the grocery aisle. The aisles are too close to each other, I won't be surprised if someone feels claustrophobic. It's a relatively cleaner Indian grocery store, so I'll give it that point. They also have a restaurant/kitchen inside where you can order food and sit down to eat, don't have too high expectations from the sitdown though.

We always get the breakfast combo from the DB Kitchen to go - pick 3 from dosa, bonda medu vada and idli. The sweet and spicy ginger chutney served with breakfast is yummy!

Spring cleaning with these review drafts ya'll.. I meant that! I've been to this grocer too many times to count. Why this place doesn't get more reviews, and spotlight is unbeknownst to me. Unlike most other Yelpers, I've never purchased any food from the restaurant/eatery aspect of the grocery store. However, this is one of my main spots for my Indian grocery purchases. I purchase all my Indian spices here and my "cheat drinks" that I must have. Such aromatic ingredients I have found here bring a touch of life to curries, dals, rice, meat, vegetables and much more. The native spices are what is known as the seven spices of India and include cumin, coriander, clove, cinnamon, turmeric, fenugreek, and cardamom (all ones I use frequently). They have all been used for both culinary and health purposes, many of which were included in ancient herbal medicines. As far as groceries are concerned, this location offers a wide variety of authentic regional ingredients, and strives to reconnect people with the familiar flavor of India. #supportlocal

I dined at DB frequently but seeing this unsatisfactory status & flies infestation are a problem. Hope it will be improved.

Always love your food but it's not encouraging me to return if the flies problem are not contained. The meat processing area is attracting flies.

    Very clean and well organized.

Newly opened about a month ago as of September 2019, and it's both sparkling clean and well organized. This is a badly needed Indian-themed supermarket specializing in imported spices, Indian cuisine, and fresh veggies. Exceptional value on the bulk spices - I spotted a .99 cent bag that contained more bay leaves than I'd ever need. Nice selection of ghee as well, especially with the water buffalo version! Very cool place that's larger than a corner grocery store, but still very comfy as a supermarket. I definitely plan to come back when I need mango drinks, naan bread, and butterscotch ice cream. (No, that's not particularly Indian but it's a hard flavor to find. Kudos to them for carrying it!)

looked healthy outside & old inside(same day purchase)

This is my 3rd time to buy fresh veggies & fruits here & it is my last. I don't think the owner knows how to store their produce here. It is not stored according to health code. They look unhealthy & when I select ones that look healthy & open it at home(same day purchase), they are all moldy inside-DISGUSTING‼ If you need help in this store they have no one that speak English except for one man. So come here when the English-speaking man is here. We tried their small restaurant for to go Indian food and we were disappointed. Both different ttimes we came to order, the foods were salty. We didn't bother to come back to get our money because it would be a waste of time speaking to somebody who did not speak English. We are not coming back for their to go menus & produce, but I can say they do have a great selections of over the counter dry pre-package goods which we will return to buy.

Asked for masala dosa and received a masala dosa, both separately, so it is masala + dosa.
 Don't have food ever, horrible.

A lot of the canned stuff, like different types of beans, isn't really any cheaper than what you'd find at places like H-E-B. Fruits and veggies looked pretty standard, but the prices were oddly higher than in regular grocery stores. They do carry some interesting sweets, and I always enjoy checking those out. Coffee, though, was more expensive compared to other international stores I've been to. What really stood out in a bad way was the attitude of the staff. No one was rude exactly, but they act like they don't really want to be there, and definitely not like they want you to be there either. Product-wise, no complaints. But the vibe from the people working there? Pretty unfriendly.

They even have alcohol, dishes, candles, other houseware supplies, and some basic American products. Prices area generally competitive, some much better than others. My main complaint is that it can be overwhelming, especially when you're trying to find one specific thing. The other issue is that so many items have mislabeled prices or none at all. This can be challenging when you're trying to stay in budget while faced with more options that you can imagine. Also, fresh prepared items don't necessarily have their ingredients listed which can be scary for less adventurous eaters. The store is generally easy to navigate even through some cluttered set ups.

Then I worked my way to the cafe/kitchen. I ordered 2 beef tacos. My Spanish is very limited. The sweet woman helping me spoke zero English. There were a lot of outside workers enjoying their lunch. I ended up with 2 papusas. Not sure of the meat filling- looked like chicken. (LOL), then a gentleman spoke to me and this time I got 2 beef fajita tacos on nice fresh corn tortillas. I kept the papusas too. They offered refrigerated cases of soda pop including Jaritos and juices, they also had large containers of several flavors of Agua Fresca of which I ordered a Grande Mango flavor. You could get your beverage with milk added as well. Probably seating for 25. No menu-once I moved up in line I could not only smell but I could see the steam tables which faced the staff and were loaded with food. There were a handful of things I didn't recognize. What I did recognize was beef fajitas, beef lingua, tripe, caldo de res, refried beans, Mexican rice, fresh tortillas. I sat down and opened the 2 beef tacos and ate one. It was really good and I was full so took the rest home. They sure don't skimp on the beef!!!! There were lots of diners coming and going. Most of them were getting combination plates. I'm going to have to figure that out next time. I had asked for a side of frijoles, but I was likely confused because I think the beans and rice only came with combination plates. Anyway, I enjoyed my taco and I'll definitely go back after I polish up my Spanish a bit !!!!
