Brought in my Toyota Tacoma from another shop. The other shop installed a Clutch slave cylinder and…read moresupposedly bled the new cylinder. Picked it up from the other shop and they try telling me it was my transmission. So I called a different shop and they recommended Dave Sheppard. Got it towed here and they discovered it was not bled properly and the pushrod for the clutch was not adjusted. Dave and his shop got it fixed and I didn't need a transmission. Dave looked over my Tacoma and recommended new valve cover seals, a carrier bearing and while it was there I asked him to do an oil change. It felt great knowing Dave found that first issue and fixed what the other shop didn't fix, so I went ahead with the other services knowing my Tacoma will be in great hands and a reasonable price. I really appreciate Sheppard Automotive getting it all taken care of very quickly. It's hard to find a shop and an owner who is honest as Dave is. If anyone is down in Phoenix and you're looking for a great shop. If you want something done right the first time, then this is your go to shop.

Last two times were different, however, Reoccurring problems and repeat trips to make basic things right on my 1964 Ford Fairlane Sports Coupe and my 1956 Chevy 210 just didn't work out. I had to source another tech to make them right. The final straw was an arrogant and unnecessary comment by their service manager. Not once, but on two occasions. I won't stand for that type of behavior from anyone. So I am done with them and have moved on. I wish them the best to fix their revolving door of mechanics, sky high prices, and poor customer service from the front desk.

He quickly and with great care put my vehicle on the rack and repaired a couple of loose welds on the pipe hangers. Took about 20 minutes. The repair cost was very reasonable. When it was time to pay I was going to use my card but his card machine was down and I had no cash. He said don't worry about it. What? Who does that? Ramon does! I left his shop and quickly went to the ATM machine and got his money out plus a little extra for being so kind. A rarity. Thank you Ramon! Lo primero. I had a rear bumper installed from CBI customs and it was rather involved involving way too much cutting, fitting and refitting. He did a very professional job, with it so much so I had him install a Gobi rack and got new rear suspension from him. Great guy to work with, always returns calls / messages/ emails in a very timely manner. Can't ask for more. While I do not know what other vehicles he works on, he does work on 4runners and given that all the Jeep folks out there that may tinker occasionally on other brands I have not had much luck finding knowledgeable mechanics to work on my 4runner. Knowing that he specializes in 4runners makes it easier for me to to go to him with my needs and he has time and time again demonstrated his skills that make me implicitly trust him. He got me in the next day and they completely fixed the problems with my previous lift and explained in detail what had happened with the lift the previous shop incorrectly put on. I did have to wait 5 or 6 hours but they did the job correctly and well. I was back on the road that day.
