I attended a networking event yesterday and had the opportunity to check out the new Diamond Club at the Dayton Dragons Stadium. The event space offers a great experience for networking and taking in a baseball game. I was able to experience great food, drinks, and overall atmosphere and service from a great catering and bar staff. I look forward to our next visit. Definitely Recommend. read more

Really nice ballpark here right near the University of Dayton. Looks like it's been around for 25 years but has been pretty well taken care of. I'm the older side but with a really nice Jumbotron. All the seats seem to be close to the field doesn't look like a bad seat in the house. Entrance was quick and easy. Had to go down a little alleyway to get to the main entrance, but there seem to be a festival type thing going on this weekend. That was all set up just outside the ballpark. I'm sure on weekend game when something else is going on, I'm sure that's a blast. Not a whole lot of entry gates, but it didn't seem to be a problem when I got there. They do have an area out in Leftfield. That seems to be for large groups. Food was pretty much standard, ballpark fair, at least I haven't run across anything that I don't see it generally every other part. It looks as if one end of the stadium is under some construction. Looks like they're adding some additional seats or additional press box area. Really a great place for baseball. read more

Awesome baseball experience! Had a rain delay that postponed the game. Enjoyed the snacks and beer while under cover from the rain, due to the excellent seats. Grandson, was enraptured by the ground crew poop putting the tarps down and pulling up. In the first inning, seeing Dragons make a home run. The Dayton River Dragons team are the most unprofessional group of people I have ever encountered. They are disrespectful, ignorant and were rude to a special needs child trying to have a happy birthday by calling him retarded. Apparently the management of this team is fine with this behavior and they all should be ashamed of themselves, take a good look in the mirror and figure out how to be decent human beings. read more

What a fantastic evening in the Gem City, the Dayton Dragons and their whole operation is a huge win for Dayton. 9 of us came down for a game and were able to all sit together down the 1st base side. We got tickets the night of, but I normally wouldn't wait till game time to do it, Dayton loves their Dragons. Day Air Ball Park is gorgeous right in the middle of downtown and across the street from Riverscape. They have great concession stands with good prices an amazing team store (series there is a ton of stuff I'd love to get in that store) and they have some good local craft beer from Moller Brew Barn and a few others I believe. And the team is very fun to watch, came back from 3 down for a walk off in the bottom of the 9th. There is not a bad seat in the stadium, but I wonder how hard it might be to see from the lawn seats when the sun is going down. Stadium seats are $19 and lawn seats are $9. The whole environment is so fun, great games between innings, lots of chances to get on the big screen, good music, trivia contest, free shirts and hats tossed out to the crowd, my 5 year old got a hat (man it pays to be cute) and there is. The kids love Heater and Gem and I heard Roofman and Wink are epic as well, I mean with names like that, don't you just want to go to check it out? They also had a Roosters Food truck outside before the game and Lock 27 Brewery is literally right outside the main gate. You also have a Winans (best coffee in Dayton) and a brand new Flyboys deli both next to each other. So you got your options before the game or during the game it's a win win and if you get down there a little early you can most likely get free street parking and not have to pay to park. A Dragons game is great for family or a night with the guys or just you and your spouse or friend. You'll love it and want to come back for me, having the Dragons in town is awesome and if you have kids don't miss the amazing deal you get by joining the Kid's Club for just $19.99, it's a deal you can't pass up (check my pictures to see the deal) and it's seriously a deal. We love this place. It's always like a home town feel. No matter what seats you're in, you are so close to the game. Seats(?) can be as cheap as $5 but technically, they consider the grass in the outfield a 'seat'. Hot dog and beer are a must but the one thing I always get when here are the bbq nachos at the smoker stand that's along the outside fence along 3rd base line. Parking is always interesting but it's not like it's hard to find and the walk isn't too bad. They put up netting along the baselines a few years back to protect us from foul balls so that's nice. The players chat with the fans, the folks working here are always super nice. It's a perfect place to spend a beautiful summer night. I'd almost consider it a 'hot date' night if you and the so are in to baseball. read more

4 of us watched the Dayton Dragons play at 5/3 Field last night. We had great seats and it was a fun to watch. Even the quiet times between innings were filled with talented dogs doing tricks, baby races and the mascots entertaining the crowd. People around us were friendly and were there to have a good time. I'd recommend it for a nice evening. One additional comment: be prepared to pay much more than what might be reasonable (as with most stadium events.) read more

The actual field is beautiful so props to the grounds guys. The promo team is awesome too. Constant action, fun games and great music. I've got to give the lead mic girl major props. I've been to several Midwest league teams and she is hands down the best!! Why three stars? Parking is horrendous, right downtown and if you get there late and other events are going on you could find yourself paying to park blocks from the stadium and, to be honest, it's not a city I want to be walking by myself in after dark. If you walk in from E 1st street side at any time before, during or after the game you risk the hazard of lung cancer as all the smokers (field employees too) are lined up on both sides smoking away. Absolutely awful. Lastly, the rows of seats go almost 30 deep. If you get stuck in the middle you better hope you don't need to get up. If you're on the ends, plan to be letting people in and out all night. read more

This is as good as it gets when it comes to minor league baseball. A full stadium, some great places next to the park in a evolving urban area. We had great seats and it was a sold out night. The crowd was into the game and the between inning fun definitely kept things interesting. Don't park too close to the park on the 1st base line, you might get a random foulball in your windshield!! They have an assortment of greesy good food and a large beer selection. A net around the entire field protects everyone from foul balls and bats. I cannot believe I haven't updated my review since 2011. A lot has changed since then! I'm now a parent so the Dayton Dragons are must visit with my kiddos. The stadium is very nice and I've never had a bad seat. The food is typically ballpark food, but good none the less. The entertainment is fantastic. The staff really does a great job of keeping everyone entertained throughout the whole game. I love that they do a lot with and for kids. It really helps keep them into the game when it can sometimes be slow and boring. Parking is still great and inexpensive. There are a lot of good restaurants around the area now that make eating out beforehand easy. read more

A great fan experience just got safer. I have been part of a season ticket package since the opening of the stadium. I have always been concerned about the safety of my children with regard to foul balls. The Dragons have installed safety netting down both the first and third base lines. While I am sure some folks think this is a negative I think it is a huge positive. Went to a game with my daughter this week and did not have to worry. Thank you to the Dayton Dragons organization for making this change and making the safety of the fans a priority. This is an absolutely fabulous place to watch a game with your family. read more

This is a nice amenity for Dayton, and I am glad people enjoy it. The food concessions are pricey and options miserable. You know you can get a hot chocolate but not an iced tea? Who wants hot chocolate at a baseball game, especially in the summer? A little loud, too. They are always blasting you with some kind of noise. Makes it hard to enjoy the game. Definitely check out the Smokies Sausage Shack. There are several nacho vendors but they are not all created equal. Find "Salsa" for some decked out supreme nachos! I was so full I couldn't finish 2 beers. I just wish you could pop into the stadium at the lunch hour just for the food for those working downtown. A fantastic venue! I can't stress enough the love for field as the people and the establishment are wonderful. Here's the deal...I don't like baseball. Nope, I don't, not one iota. I went for my daughter and she loved the ability to see the dragons in action. We had a club event and were stationed in the 5th 3rd Cafe area and loved the canopy with tables. I also ventured to our seats and they were great! I appreciated the enthusiasm of the fans and the employees to keep it the energy going with various games. I strolled the circle to check out the field at different angles and I don't think there is a bad seat. The grassy areas look rather comfortable as well! Th only thing I was not keen about was my popcorn, stale. Yuck. Oh well. I'm trying to go carb free so you saved me. I can see why they have the world record for most sold out games. Very nice cool! Parking is ample in multiple close by vicinities. We paid $5 buck for a business parking spot and had no issues getting in or out. Easy peasy. So go see and a game! Support the dragons! read more

Its your Cincinnati Reds farm club AAA class baseball. The stadium is really nice, and placed in an odd location in Dayton that really spices things up for the city. We have seen plenty young athletes start here and work their way up to the big leagues. Prices are pretty good, food and drinks costly as expected. Have had season Tickets since the 2nd year the dragons have played in Dayton. The Dragons are a Single A franchise of the Cincinnati reds. We have been graced to have seen such players as Joey Votto, Jay Bruce. Zac Cozart, Todd Frazier, plus others who are now with the Reds, always have a blast at the games.
