They would never suggest something that wasn't necessary and their prices are fantastic. They are up-front about what it will cost and will call to clear it with you before starting work. I wouldn't even think of going anywhere else. My highest recommendation!!!

I decided to give Inline X a try after growing suspicious of the other Hopkins based service center I had been using. The other guys were nice enough but they charged me $95 for an oil and filter change explaining Ford out out a TSB requiring synthetic oil. Not true. So I searched Yelp and learned of Inline X Automotive's reputation. Inline X is serious about delivery great service. Phone calls are handled promptly and professionally. When walking in, I received a very positive greeting that made me feel like my business was truly appreciated. Even if a simple oil change. I have called an learned my date preference wasn't available but loved the reasons - one weekend a member of the crew was getting married and everyone wanted to go. The only other time was before a Holiday and the owner wanted his team to get off work on time. Every aspect of the customer experience seems thought out. Waiting area is nice but not overdone. Music is nice and upbeat but not too loud. The waiting space is clean. I even received a holiday card and I only visited Inline X three times. When bringing in my car for more major issues, Nhia explained his findings in lay person terms and provided me options. There was no hint of disappointment or degradation of service when I selected the low or mid tier repair option. I don't like coughing up dollars for auto repaired any more than the next guy. However, Inline X is the type of business I like to support knowing I receive value for the dollars I spend and I am supporting an independent business owner who knows how to deliver service and run a business. I highly recommend Inline X Automotive no matter the nature of the problem or the year make and model of car.

Next the night mare: I call him back 15 minutes later and questioned the price as Napa had one for155.00 that matched the truck vin , Jerry said it's already installed. Wow so I went to pick up the vehicle and the bill is now $877.00 holy Batman, I'm selling this vehicle anyway. He shows me the paperwork and tells me that that alternator cost him $411 that's what he had written in. I was taken back and I said no you're going to honor what you quoted me and pay only the 635 and that's it. He freaked out he was going on about him taking food off his table and stealing from him as he marches around the counter in a little Rambo outfit and tries to shame and blame me about the money. I had the credit card run through at 700.00 I threw him a bone just to get out. Wants 900.00 for a new dash I find a rebuild of mine for only 159.00 on the net now he is really pissed. 3-4 hours labor he says wow.I say no way see ya later. Now Jerry calls the cops saying in stealing from him Says many other things to them I will not repeat, And wants me arrested. I'm good because I have the credit card receipt. And I'm out of there. I told him I'll do my own dash and I did took all of 20 minutes to pull the dash and 30 minutes to button it up with the nice rebuilt dash from dash doctors. Looks great. So Jerry tried at least ten times to shame and guilt and blame me while I trying to get out of his shop. Said I wouldn't leave to the cops. Don't ever trust this guy with anything and only pay his quoted price if you go down that road with little Rambo. He wouldn't know how to honor his quote if it hit him in the face Jerry is a cheat, a lier, a little super scum bag that is great at shaming and blaming. I have never met any mechanic this dishonest in my life. Sorry to say all this but I'm actually minimizing what went down. Do not trust Jerry he is a sad little man dressed like Rambo to project his power. Absolutely hold him to his quote. Better yet don't do there go to baker road auto they are fantastic.

When ARVU took over the property, I very much looked forward to establishing a relationship with them. However, so far, they are nothing like Tom and the boys at Walt's. What should have been a $400+ repair blossomed into a $950 tab. Mostly it was because of a 'diagnosis' charge. Walt's used to charge the diagnosis if work was not performed, but waived it if work was performed. In this case, ARVU maintained the charge........and added a SECOND charge. Therefore, I was charged $172.50 TWICE. That's $350 not even counting the work. When I questioned it, no equivocation or negotiation. Then, when I wrote two emails with concern, NO answer back. Not cool. Not sure how everyone else feels about this, but I find it difficult to ever patronize them again.

I have a 17 yr old vehicle thats rear left brake caliper was sticking. Upon further inspection, the…read morerear left brake pad had worn down to the metal because of the sticking caliper. So I brought it here to get repaired. The good: They do an inspection with photos and put it online for you to see. The service writer was patient and helpful in figuring out what work to get done and was upfront about costs. They offer free loaner cars, which I did not use. The are ASE certified mechanics. The bad: The original inspection addressed everything else they wanted to replace and did not address what caused the sticking caliper - the reason I was there. They did go back and look at it though once I asked, and said the pins probably rusted. They wanted to replace a strut, front brakes and rear brakes, secure a heat shield better, degrease the engine to pinpoint a leak, and do an oil change. It's good to know about that stuff but the rear left brake was the pressing issue. Was originally quoted $1,175 to replace just the rear brakes: new calipers, new rotors, new pads on both the rear left and rear right (but not the front.) The car is only worth $1500, it's a Scion/Toyota not a Mercedes or BMW and it's old. I had been quoted $850 to do all that somewhere else with 3 yr warranty, new parts etc. So I asked what's the minimum they could do to get all 4 brakes working and they said they could replace just the rear left caliper and rear left brake pads for $450. The brake pads come in sets for both rear wheels but the mechanic wouldn't put the rear pads on the right side because he wouldn't work with the rear right caliper - it's too old and rusty, might break (though I would've taken that risk.) He would want to replace it instead. Well if I replaced every old rusty part of my car that still works I'd have a new car, and they charge $300+ to put a new caliper in. And they don't machine resurface rotors even if they're thick enough to. They said they want to warranty the rotors for 3 years instead. Well my car might not last another 3 years. So I chose the $450 option. When I picked it up they gave me the breakdown of the work: $192 for a remanufactured caliper sold at NAPA a few blocks away from the shop for less than $100. $50 for brake pads sold at NAPA for $25. $178 for the labor to install a new caliper and pads on just the rear left wheel. The brakes vibrate because they don't resurface rotors. They gave me the extra set of brake pads that came in the box they wouldn't put on the right side without replacing the caliper. I see a lot of good reviews here but nobody is saying what they paid. And they don't want to work with old rusty parts, just replace them all. Maybe that's typical, but 4 or 5 stars would be going above typical. And the shop is only open until 5pm. It took a week to get me in. All that said, this isn't a negative review. I'm just saying this may be a small, honest family owned shop in Corcoran with just a few mechanics and service people, but it isn't a thrifty one. Far from it. But I do now know all the work my car needs done in the near future and how to tackle it with a more thrifty shop and a probably a parts dealer/service locator like Tirerack.
