Everyone there makes you feel so at ease. Dr. Passi is awesome. You can tell he has the experience, knowledge to get what needs to happen done and forethought of everything you may ask, answered. One of my favorite things about Dr. Passi was his complete honesty, just enough fluff to make you comfortable but at the same time, made sure you understand what's going to happen, what needs to happen afterwards and realistically what to expect after treatment and that's ultimately what he's logically there for. The expertise in this area, and he more than knows his craft. Last night oof, he was right, I was wrecked but after following directions of medicated eye drops every 2 hours and wear the covers with the correct amount of ibuprofen- Tylenol ratio, I was totally fine this morning (I took melatonin too because it never hurts to want to not wake up constantly) I'm sure Hoopes is great BUT I also would say there's definitely not just a single place to go and don't rule this place out. I personally loved loved it.

My Doctor was Dr. Passi he was amazing, I told him after I had my second eye done that I got a little teary eyed on my drive into my post op appointment, I said "Did you know leaves are not just green and have many different shapes and rocks have lines that make unique patters, that yellow really is a pretty color and the sky was so blue and the clouds were so white. Colors are so vibrant it's just been amazing the difference. And a special shout out to Becca who scheduled my surgery was the sweetest funniest, caring human ever, she goes out of her way and gave 110%. I decided to try this place out based on the location and the old review that made it sound like a good place to check out. I'm so glad I found this clinic and that they take my health insurance! The first time I came, it was a Friday afternoon and very quiet, I thought maybe it was quiet because it was a Friday afternoon. So the next time I scheduled an appointment for Friday morning instead. It was still very quiet. I learned during my latest visit that each patient gets double the time allotted to their visit than a normal doctor's office so it rarely feels busy like other doctor's offices. This means that you're almost always seen right away and you rarely find yourself waiting for extended periods of time. This extra time really shows in the bedside manner. I really felt like Dr. Davis is listening to my every word and trying to come up with individual lifestyle changes to improve my overall health, rather than trying to fix an individual symptom and rush me out the door. She's also a great cheerleader when it comes to improving my numbers. She really cares! Also, for the ladies, an added bonus is that they can do gynecological exams here too! Which is a huge plus for me so I don't have to schedule my pap smear and my annual check up at two separate places and it also means that the doctor can see more of a big picture when it comes to your individual health goals. The location is very convenient to downtown but I feel like I always get lost in the building. It's the large building on the southeast corner of 500 E and 200 S and the clinic is on the 5th floor. Anyway, if your health insurance is accepted at the Midtown Clinic! I recommend checking them out!

The nurse practitioner Marry Ann, I believe is her name, got right down to business. She ordered blood work, urine sample and set us up at St marks for an ultrasound. She realized that this on going issue that could be something very serious and she took action. It was most appreciated. The MA's were both very kind. My husband faints at the sight of blood and the MA handling the blood draw braced him before hand and when he started to faint she got him juice and rubbed his back until he was ready to get up again. Great clinic for the Salt Lake City workers.

They rightly deserve their good reputation for excellent level of care. My doctor, Dr Murdock, is very patient and explains things in ways that are easy to understand. He's taken the time to discuss my eye health, and gone over my scans/images with me. He's even used visuals to help me decipher some of the weird symptoms I was having. As a result, I left my most recent appointment feeling reassured about the unusual vision issues I'd been experiencing. The staff is amicable and sincere - the receptionists, the billing dept, assistants and doctors. They're a great crew to work with.

To make matters worse, they didn't present me with the fee form until the end of my appointment--after my eyes had been dilated. I literally could not read the document I was being asked to sign. To top it off, I was sent out into the light without being offered disposable sunglasses or any post-dilation care. Let me give my honest review first I made an appointment and was told we were in network with my insurance and I called my insurance to be sure and they were not in network. So I informed the office staff who contacted AETNA who said they didn't have the correct forms and this provider was removed from there preferred list. Well I waited til all the paperwork was done and then I made my daughter's appointment. I asked up front what my total cost would be cause this place requires you pay up front and they charge a fee if you miss payment or it's late. So at her appointment I paid for everything up front and we were done, I paid for everything! Then the doctor office sends me a bill for $398 and said my insurance wouldn't cover the whole thing. So I asked for what code was not covered and even asked the manager call me so I can take the info to my insurance and see what went wrong. Well the manager never called me and when I would call she wasn't in office. Well today I get another bill and the amount is now $405.68 when I called to pay today I informed the gal how shady this is and I will leave a review outlining how horrible and shady the billing is and it isn't right! You work hard to pay for things then they slap you with a fat bill and no one wants to explain it and instead of taking my card so I can pay she put me on hold for 10 min. I hung up and called back and then they took my card. They make you sign a contract prior to having anything done and they charge you when it isn't paid. Keep in mind I paid for everything up front and they had all the prior authorization done so I knew what my final bill was going to be. DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU HAVE AETNA! I took my son here for the same procedure four years ago and the price tripled. You should always be honest in your dealings. Also if there was a mistake made they could have called me and said hey we messed up! I should have know they would screw up the billing since they couldn't file the paperwork to stay enrolled with Aetna.

I went up to the front counter and asked how long the wait was, and they said that they had 3 emergencies walk in and that they needed to be helped first, but that I should be seated in a room within 5 minutes but that the doctor probably wouldn't be able to see me for another 30 minutes! I asked if I could be seen sooner, and they asked if I needed to pick my kids up from school or something, and I said no, but that I am on my lunch break from work and was hoping to be out by 2:30PM at the latest. They said they'll just cut my time short with the doctor then, by giving me 20 minutes instead of the usual 30-35. I stood there, and they said they'd let him know to see me next. I was taken to the back room and continued to wait. At 2:30PM, the doctor finally walks in and said "so you're here for jaw surgery?" and it caught me off guard (I was there for TMJ related jaw pain), and I said no, and he said "well they gave you the wrong paperwork, you'll have to fill out the correct TMJ paperwork before I can see you". The girl brought in the correct paperwork, and I asked if I'll be able to see him as soon as I'm done, she said I should be able to. I finished and gave the paperwork to them. Another 30 mins goes by, and I was ready to walk out, as I kept hearing new patients go into the rooms next to me and he saw them right away. At 3:00PM, I got up, opened the door, and started walking out to leave. The doctor sees me in the hall and he said "I'll be with you soon". I said "I've already been here for almost 2 hours!". He stopped what he was doing and came in my room. He very quickly looked over the paperwork and said that there really wasn't much he could do and that he only does jaw surgery (I was referred to this doctor because he's listed as specializing in TMJD). I was out and in my car by 3:11PM. Complete waste of time and money. There was another review similar to this on Google Reviews, I just wish I would have followed that person's advice and not gone, as I had the same experience.
