Not impressed. They had run outta donuts. The older lady behind the counter was clearly over whelmed and the kid ringing us up had an attitude problem. It's very obvious the can't keep up with buisness here. I'd highly recommend Jerry cakes and donuts, they continue to make donuts and keep them coming all morning long!! This place simply ain't worth it. This was also at 7am. They only make enough donuts to last a few hours. It's depressing. Go to Jerry's. They have lots of veriaty. read more

Good donuts, not great for sitting in. I got a tiny chocolate iced cake donut that was amazing. Husband got a whipped cream Bismarck which he enjoyed. 6 donuts (haven't tried the others) and 2 small coffees- $12 The young workers need training in keeping the dining room presentable. First, there's no trashcan over near the coffee station, which is self-serve. You have to walk back to the counter and throw trash in the huge industrial trash can sitting by the counter- it's kind of gross to see that from a dining room. Second, because people are lazy and there's no easily accessible trash near the coffee station, people put their used creamers back in the bin. So, in a container holding a dozen little creamers, more than half were used trash. That area needed a re-stocking, a cleaning, and a wipe down. So I think the people going through the drive thru have the right idea. read more

The normal frosted and glazed donuts are good. However, the special donuts are always overfilled, because of this those donuts can be soggy and messy. I would only recommend daylight donuts if Jerry's cake and donuts were closed. read more

I've always loved the pine cone donuts, but I got a warm chocolate john when we went in there and it was pure heaven.

I was in town camping at the KOA and found great reviews for Daylight Donuts just down the road. We had the Maple Bacon log, Raspberry filled, Bavarian Cream, and three sprinkle donuts for the kiddos. The Maple Bacon log was amazing!! The bacon was nice and crisp and the donut had a great crunchy texture on the outside and perfectly doughy on the inside. All the donuts were super fresh!! We also had a breakfast burrito that had scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage, and cheese with a side of salsa and sour cream!! It was hot, filling, and delicious!! The shop was impeccably clean and smelled of delicious donuts as you walked in. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The best donuts in Rapid City! You must try if you're in town read more

Donuts are great however I order them through grub hub and they are never available early enough and I frequently get my ordered canceled because they are sold out. They have a great product I just wish they were more motivated to sell more to meet the demand. This is poor management. read more

A-mazing! Finally a donut place in Rapid City with great donuts! We went on the second day of opening it was packed early morning so I guess others in Rapid City are wanting great donuts too! We got a dozen to go and they didnt last the morning as the faimly devoured them immediatley. Really liked the cream, frostings were tasty and the donut didnt leave a nasty after taste like some. We hosted a Navy Reunion in Rapid City. Daylight Donuts provided a selection of delicious donuts for our business meeting. The donuts were so fresh and a great assortment. The staff taking the order in advance of our meeting was so attentive and the entire team packaged up the boxes for travel. We fed 90+ happy people. They also gave us a Veteran's discount.
