We are switching vets. Every time we go, I almost cry leaving with my dog. We have a highly anxious…read moredog, and every time we go for an annual the vet techs treat him like he's a nuisance. The last appointment we had, they came and got us because "he wasn't behaving". So I kindly tried to explain there's a difference between behaving and being anxious. Then when we got to our dog he calmed a little and one vet tech said "naughty, he's naughty". They also handed us the muzzle without a word, and made us muzzle our own dog while he squealed and thrashed. It was heartbreaking. He does not trust strangers, and every time we go it seems they do not know how to handle anxious dogs. At all. And they also make you feel like your dogs a burden instead of being calming and compassionate. We pay enough money, so we will take our business to someone who is actually compassionate in their career choice that deals with animals of all needs.

Unfortunately they are closed on that day so I called this vet since they were closer to my home, they told me to bring her right in. After the vet checked my cat he determined that my cat had been hit in the hind quarters by he said a car because she was sore in that area. He could not go further with treatment unless I put $250 down, $500 down to do xrays and blood work.If I had $500 I would gladly have given it, I put $250 down thats all I could afford. He put her on an IV and medicine. She had to stay the night. I went to picked her up the next day and as the assistant was bringing her out she noticed a puncture wound on her neck. ( isn't this something the vet should have caught since he did examine her) The assistant told me just keep an eye on it and I brought her home. The nexted day I checked the wound and there was green fluid oozing from it. I called the vet and ask if I could put peroxide on it or an antibiotic on it and she said no. But for another $50 I could bring her in again. I called my vet. I explained what was happening and what Myself and cat went through and she told me to use peroxide twice and see if that helps. Five days later the wound was healing and my cat was eating and drinking. I brought my cat to my vet and she told me the wound was close to her jaw and that's why she was not eating or drinking. I understand that vets want their money up front but to misdiagnose something from their hind quarters have been hit to a puncture wound in the neck that his assistant caught makes me wonder the creditability of this vet. I had been taking my dog to Country Vet before Dr. Steve came into the picture. I took my dog to…read moresee Dr. Steve in May. That was my second visit with him. I was apprehensive about going back to him after reading some reviews, but I did. I gave a review after that visit. I was still uneasy about some matters we discussed about my dog...who is over 12 years plus, such as getting an exemption for my dog's rabies shot next time around. That can be done, and is perfectly within the law if it would be deemed detrimental to the health of an animal. He was more concerned about his license. That didn't sit right with me. I pondered about that because next year will be time for my aged dog to get a rabies vaccination. Well, fast forward to Wednesday, January 3rd. My Bichon had been up in the middle of the night in distress. Morning couldn't come fast enough, and I called Country Vet to see if they could see my sweetie. I was shocked to find out that although it shows that the office is open, Dr. Steve ONLY does SURGERIES on WEDNESDAY'S. So, he can only see my pet Monday, Tuesday. Thursday, and Friday's . That 4 day schedule doesn't work for me. So, now I was scrambling to see WHO could see my dog. I was given a few names of places that might be able to see my dog. It ended up being a blessing in disguise. I ended up going to Stoney Point off of Buffalo Road. It is my dog's new vet. The veterinarian did not nickel and dime me to death. She was very kind and transparent about my dogs health. Stoney Pointe has a more extensive schedule for seeing animals, which works perfectly for me. I might add one side note, once when Country Vet's technician was cutting my Bichon's nails, she cut too close to the quick on each and every nail. It was unbelievable hearing him cry out in pain with every nail they cut ....they do it right in front of you. I began to feel very uneasy.i had my eyes closed and couldn't even look. Then when they were finished, I saw little drops of blood on the towel that was on the table. I asked, in disbelief, "Is that my dog's blood?' To think that they charge $25 to cut nails, and that is as good as it gets?! They did give me a discount of some sort because I think they were wondering if I was going to blow a hoot. Someone else might have given them a what for. I was in disbelief, and didn't. My dog had his nails trimmed before at Country Vet, and the technician NEVER cut them too close to the quick causing my dog PAIN. It's elementary Watson!!! If I wanted to put my dog through that, I could have cut his nails myself, and not spent $25!!!! They do this for a living!!!!! What really made me apprehensive and uneasy was that I was informed that when it came to getting my dog's teeth cleaned, it would be a technician doing that with the vet close by. Think about that for a minute, would you want a technician doing your dog's teeth....and everything else that needs to be done during that procedure, if they can't even trim a dog's nails correctly???? So, my dog and any future pets will be going to Stoney Pointe. By the way, they trimmed my dog's nails during his visit on Wednesday at Stoney Pointe, and he didn't cry out in pain, because they knew what they were doing. I wish you the best Dr. Steve, but with all the above mentioned, and the slim days and hours that Country Vet is opened, well, that was the last straw for me

I only give it one star because I assume you can't give it zero…read more Spencerport Country Vet was once a preeminent practice on the west side. Sadly, the competency has fallen considerably with the departure of Dr. Coughlin. The managing vet, Dr. Aimi, was not very thorough when examining our dog. Unfortunately with COVID, we couldn't be in the office, leaving us unaware of what he was or wasn't doing during her appointments. We hoped to find another vet but we couldn't find any that were accepting dogs. I called a few times to discuss problems with her eyes and GI troubles. Knowing she was not comfortable with drops, he offered no alternative solutions for her eyes and dismissed the GI issues entirely. We recently took our dog to see Dr. Aimi because was was throwing up daily. He looked at her and diagnosed her with pancreatitis. He had no intention of doing any blood work until I asked for it. The results came back the next day showing that she was in end stage kidney failure. He had his tech call me to let me know she had "elevated creatinine levels". I had to call back and get the actual results. Given the gravity of the situation, I think he should have personally called us. Instead he left it to his tech. We had her records transferred to Emergency Services. It looked like there was a gap in bloodwork for several years. We had to euthanize our seven year old dog one week later. I feel that if he had been proactively monitoring her internal organs, this might have been discovered much sooner and we could have implemented dietary changes MUCH sooner. We intended to leave Country Vet after all, but we were hoping to bring Zoey with us. I am clearly disappointed in what's become of that facility and I will go out of my way to make sure people know that. Please let our personal loss be the impetus to ensure your pets are getting a better quality of healthcare.

We wanted to find a place where she could interact with other dogs and have overnight care when we would go out of town. Her time at camp has improved her disposition towards other dogs. While she still isn't the most friendly with other dogs, she has shown a lot of improvement. We boarded her over Memorial Day weekend (2018) while we went away to get married. The staff has been incredible with providing updates and lots of pictures of our little girl. They are very good at communicating with us and always responsive over e-mail and the phone. We have also taken our dog for day care at other locations which is very convenient. I HIGHLY recommend Camp Bow Wow in Rochester!

Blaming customers for your facility inconsistencies, ruining people's plans, giving the impression everything is okay, causing us to drive an hour and a half and then rejecting us and then not having any accountability in the matter is a huge thumbs down.

Such a nice experience with Bella! Our goldendoodle is our first puppy, the first for my daughter…read more The process was easy to follow, very detailed and comprehensive - i.e. we had to commit to getting training and we watched her process videos and suggestions - but this all speaks to Janelle's commitment to us and her pups. She is not going to let just anyone get a puppy, she wants them to have the best home. Communication was key. Being new to this or any puppy adoption, we had many, many texts between us so I never felt abandoned in the process. As our pup was available right away and we live in the Rochester area, we started talking on Saturday and had our lil girl on Monday! Big Thank You to Janelle for her wonderful breeding and adoption process!

After a very long time of researching breeders I decided that Janelle Cole at bellaminidoodles.com…read moreseemed like the best fit to work with. I found a beautiful puppy listed on the website " Fushia Girl " a mini goldendoodle i spoke to Jenelle 3 times before purchasing. She sent me the invoice for 3,900.00. Once I paid in full she texted me not thanking me for the payment but to complain she forgot to add on the $110.00 processing fee she gets charged when one uses a credit card. Although this was settled once she realized her error Jenelle advised she would pay for this fee along with the " training the pup received " I selected a pick up date see her website she charges $550.00 for pick up in Lee Massachusetts. Once a delivery date was set I received another text from Jenelle advising me to bring $675.00 in cash for the delivery driver. Big difference $550.00 to $675.00. I arrived early that day to pick up the puppy, no delivery company existed it was just her son. I pay the $675.00 was handed the pup and drove home the 2 hours. When finally was getting settled at home I noticed I was given the wrong dog. I also must add this pup was so shaggy, messy, matted and poor thng couldn't see with the amount of hair covering the eyes. I brought the pup to TWO pet specialists and was told this dog is NOT a Pure Goldendoodle this is closer to a Poddle. I contacted Jenelle Cole that same night at 732pm via text, expressed my concern to Jenelle Cole. Radio Silent, No Text, No Phone Call nothing. The next day at 130 pm I finally connected with Jenelle Cole owner of Bellaminidoodles.com. The reply I received " anyone who is not happy with the puppy they receive I always tell them to bring the puppy back to me " I remind her I live in Massachusetts and she lives in Rochester NY a 938 miles round trip. That day I spend 2 hours researching flight nanny, delivery companies, private flights out of the Beverly ma airport, thought about renting a car, looked into taking a bus to NY so many ideas but every idea I had and looked into would cost $650.00 at minimum to get the pup returned to NY. I finally decided I would drive my own car that is a lease to NY. I reached back out to Janelle and ask her if she would kindly return my $675.00 cash from the pick up delivery and I Will agree to drive the pup I have back to her home in Rochester NY. Her reply " I am not paying one penny for your expense to bring the pup back to me this is your responsibility " Text me when you are on your way, and hangs up on the phone on me. The next day at 4:42 am I got in the car and drove to NY. I arrived at 12:35 pm returned the pup back to Jenelle Cole. She begged me not to post any reviews. She asked me if I thought she was being fair I replied NO but showed zero compassion. All I wanted and still want is the delivery fee of $675.00 returned to me. Note again her sketchy website says her delivery fee to pick-up a pup is $550.00 so why was I was charged $675.00 is wild. I returned home that same night at 920pm. I drove 987 miles, drove a total of 14 hours, spent $140.00 on gas in one day a big loss for me. The next day Jenelle Cole texted me showing me pictures of the pup all well groomed saying she has been adopted for $3400. I submitted a complaint with the Attorney general office in NY thankfully they have a Lemon Law for Dogs. Waiting for the outcome, I just want my refund. #1 pic is the dog I purchased, #2 & 3rd picture is how I received the pup, shaggy, messy and not the same dog. Lastly her pups are not " Trained " so please beware and no I do not recommend bellaminidoodles.com. They advertise Goldendoodles but are selling Poodles. Note multiple negative reviews posted on bellaminidoodles.com most concerning her last positive review is not recent dated back to 2019. Could be family or friends posting a positive review.
