They asked me where everything was supposed to go once we got to the new place. They also took my furniture apart and put it back together. They were really nice! The cost for moving from 103rd to Middleburg was also a lot lower than most other places quoted me. I'd use them again if I had to move :)

Worst Moving Experience Ever - Damaged Property, Missing Phone, Unfinished Job, and Terrible…read moreCustomer Service I had an absolutely horrible experience with Door to Door Moves. What should have been a simple move between two houses on the SAME STREET turned into an expensive, stressful nightmare. From the beginning, the crew seemed completely unprepared. The supervisor complained constantly about having to carry furniture up and down the stairs, claiming that whoever scheduled the job hadn't told him the house had two stories. He also complained about having to move heavy furniture. Isn't that exactly what professional movers are hired to do? The damage to my property was extensive. Furniture was repeatedly bumped against walls, leaving damage throughout the house. Several pieces of furniture were broken. My computer monitor had its screen broken beyond repair, meaning I now have to buy a new one. My freezer was scratched along its entire side. The furniture disassembly was another disaster. They took furniture apart but didn't put it back together. Some pieces they couldn't even figure out how to disassemble, so I had to do it myself. Numerous screws, hardware pieces, and components were lost, damaged, or separated from the furniture they belonged to. As a result, I haven't been able to properly restore some of my furniture. They didn't even complete the move. I had to hire another moving company to finish the job, creating additional expenses on top of the damage they had already caused. But one of the most disturbing parts of this entire experience was that my phone disappeared during the move. I never left the house that day, and no one else was there besides the moving crew. I was already mentioning that I couldn't find my phone while they were still working. After they left, I used Find My to track the phone's location. The following day, and again the day after, the phone appeared to be moving continuously around the city, through locations I didn't recognize. Based on these circumstances, I strongly believe my phone went missing during the move, and I was concerned that it might have accidentally ended up inside their truck. I specifically asked the company to check the truck to see whether my phone had fallen somewhere inside or had been accidentally loaded with my belongings. My request was ignored. To my knowledge, no meaningful effort was made to check or help locate it. My phone was never recovered. Losing an expensive device was frustrating enough, but the lack of concern or assistance from the company made the situation even worse. And finally, the supervisor's attitude regarding tipping was extremely unprofessional. At the end of the job, he openly complained to his coworkers about the tip I gave. I come from a different cultural background, but I have absolutely nothing against tipping. In fact, I'm happy to tip generously when someone provides excellent service. However, I don't believe customers should feel obligated to reward poor service, especially when that service has caused significant damage and financial losses. Despite everything, I still tipped him. The amount was lower than he apparently expected, and he responded by laughing sarcastically in my face. That was incredibly disrespectful. I would have gladly tipped much more if they had done a good job, protected my belongings, and completed the work properly. To summarize my experience: - Numerous walls damaged from furniture being repeatedly bumped into them. - Broken and damaged furniture. - A computer monitor with an irreparably broken screen. - A freezer scratched along its entire side. - Missing and damaged furniture hardware and components. - Furniture left disassembled and impossible to fully restore in some cases. - An unfinished move that required hiring another company. - My phone disappearing during the move and never being recovered. - My request to check the moving truck for the phone being ignored. - Constant complaints from the supervisor about stairs and heavy furniture. - Disrespectful behavior and sarcastic laughter over the tip. And remember, this was a move between two houses on the same street. I paid for a professional moving service, but instead I was left dealing with property damage, missing belongings, replacement costs, additional moving expenses, and an overwhelming amount of unnecessary stress. I would never hire Door to Door Moves again, and I strongly recommend that anyone considering this company think very carefully before trusting them with their home and belongings. This was, without question, one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had.

A few days before the move, they called me and had me go over every little detail of everything that was being moved, etc. again even though I had already provided all that information. Still quoted around $500. Move ended up costing $1,200. They insisted on cling wrapping every single piece of furniture, even if it was already padded and then charging for those materials. One of the movers was excellent, fast and efficient even though he stopped for a few smoke breaks. Even he said everybody says that it's way more expensive when than what they were quoted. The other one was a trainee who damaged the new place, clearly didn't know what he was doing and worked at a snails pace compared to the more seasoned mover. I had to chase the company for the insurance to cover the cost of the damage to the wall, and they offered me a very small amount compared to the quote that I got from the painter. Would not recommend this company at all.

You could keep that money and invest on your employees' training who pack the natural flowers vase in a kitchen household box. I had a terrible experience with this moving company, and unfortunately, I am still dealing with the consequences more than two weeks later. On June 12, 2026, two movers arrived at 8:30 a.m. for my move. Shortly afterward, the company called and asked if they could send two additional movers to speed up the process. I trusted their recommendation and agreed. Around 2:00 p.m., I had to leave. Everything seemed to be going well until my wife, who was at our new home, called me after checking our security cameras. She noticed that two of the movers were standing around talking instead of working. Around the same time, my neighbor called to complain that the moving truck was blocking her driveway. I contacted the office, and they apologized. While these issues were frustrating, I considered them manageable. When the movers arrived at my new home, they asked me to pay before unloading, which I understood was their policy. They also informed me that I would be charged until 6:45 p.m. and that any unused time would be refunded if the job was completed earlier. The real problems began after the move was finished. One of the movers, who was professional and courteous throughout the day, informed me that my bed headboard had been damaged and showed me the damage. He also told me that the crew had finished one hour earlier than the time I was charged for. He called the office himself and advised me that I should receive a refund for one hour of labor for four movers ($240), plus an adjustment to the fuel charge, for a total refund of approximately $300. After the movers left, I immediately discovered that my brand-new 75-inch Samsung QLED TV had been severely damaged on the bottom-left corner. When I turned it on, half of the screen was black and unusable. This was a TV I had recently purchased so my family could enjoy watching the FIFA World Cup together. Today is June 27, 2026. More than 15 days after the move, I still have not received my final invoice, and I have not received the promised refund of approximately $300. I submitted a claim for both my damaged bed headboard and my TV. The settlement offer I received was not even enough to cover one-third of the TV's value. I did not accept or sign the settlement because I believe it is unfair and does not reflect the actual damage. I contacted customer service to dispute the settlement. After waiting on hold for nearly an hour, my call was disconnected. When I called back, I was told that my claim would be re-evaluated, but they made it clear that there was no guarantee the revised offer would be any closer to the actual value of my loss. The representative repeatedly told me that the settlement was based on the contract I signed, which compensates customers according to the weight of the damaged items rather than their actual value. My response was simple: I trusted this company. I trusted them when they asked to add two more movers to my job. I trusted them to handle my belongings with care. I never expected that they would damage my brand-new TV and then tell me that its value was determined by its weight. I also requested my invoice. I was transferred to another department, where I was told they were short-staffed and that my invoice would be sent the following day. That was over a week ago, and I still have not received it. More than two weeks after my move, I still don't have my invoice, I haven't received the promised refund, and my claim remains unresolved. This entire experience has completely broken my trust in this company. From the damaged property and broken promises to the lack of communication and poor customer service, I have spent more time chasing answers than enjoying my new home. Based on my experience, I don't recommend this company.
