Mask policy violation…read more I went to this gym for about a week, and everything was great until you start seeing the true colors of the staff. While I was there, the lady in the front desk was dating one of the gym members. That gym member had a reign to do whatever he wants as if he worked there. Also, the individual made himself comfortable to be behind the desk, although he never worked there, and that is besides the point. While I was working out there, the management made it clear that all of the gym members had to wear a mask while working out. However, the individual I have mentioned earlier was working out and did not wear the mask. He was also talking to other gym member while not wearing a mask, which is a direct violation of the gym rules and CDC of the state of Connecticut. When I have mentioned this to the front desk lady, she immediately defended the actions and I quote " well he lifts very heavy, and he works out hard." In other words, she was defending the policy violation. The front desk lady was also very defensive. When I have mentioned this to the management, the attitude was even worse. All it was mentioned that " I have talked to her, and everyone is entitled to have a bad day." Since the manager was rude during my email interaction with her, I simply asked her do not email me. However, the manager continued to email me even late at night. I highly recommend that you do not go to this gym because it is not only unsafe, but you are dealing a a very poor leadership and terrible staff. The same staff who will tell you to put on a mask but will not apply the same rules to their significant other. If you do not want to catch covid, then I would highly recommend to avoid this gym

The splash pad was nice and surrounded by grass and lounge chairs. The playground was huge; two playscapes, one for younger children and one for older kids. There was a restroom and a large field adjacent to it. There was a little free library and so much space for the kids to play. It's a boundless playground so it is handicap accessible. One thing I noticed, was that there were trash everywhere even though there were trash cans around. It was quiet when we went but a summer camp of about 50 kids came; this maybe the reason it gets wrecked with trash and it doesn't get picked up on a daily basis. I am not sure if the town's public works department keeps up with the maintenance of this; it's unfortunate because it is a lovely playground.
