The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom had L'Occitane toiletries. The TV had a lot of English channels to choose from, and the in-room wifi worked perfectly. The mini bar was all free! In terms of rooms, I found this hotel better than nearby Ovolo Noho, which I've also stayed at. This is a great choice if you're looking for a comfy boutique hotel in Hong Kong island. So, we wanted a nice but affordable spot to finish out our trip in Hong Kong before heading back to the U.S. We opted for one of the upper suites with a skyline view, and let me tell you- the view was epic! The room was also quite spacious in comparison to most of the shoebox rooms you will find in HK. They use Malin+Goetz and Loccitane for toiletries, which is great because I'm a sucker for luxury grooming products. They also have a nice gym and a free refreshment nook next to it that is open 24/7 (with water/Coke/Diet Coke/granola bars). A small restaurant is attached on the main level of the hotel, although room service is not offered. The front desk desk was very helpful with our bags and made us feel welcome during our stay. Additionally, they were able to arrange a 3:30am taxi service back to the airport for our departure. This isn't the type of hotel with a gigantic lobby and lots of hustle and bustle going on, as it's somewhat tucked away and used to be a private residence tower. However, it is a high quality place to stay if you are looking for a 4 star hotel in HK that is in walking distance to many of the trendiest neighborhoods. The hotel chain that runs 99 Bonham also has many other highly respected hotels in HK. We were very satisfied with our stay!

A bit of rust/stain from the walls and curtains, but you'd have to really look to find them. Concierge was good here, check-in and out was smooth. If you wanna stay in a hotel brand that's known for quality worldwide, but don't want to pay the increased prices close to the city centre, this hotel is an excellent choice.

My room with a single bed, tv, night stand, and a private bathroom (in room) was $215/night (that's Hong Kong dollars). When I checked in I was given an 'accidental' upgrade for the first night. The upgraded room was on Nathan Road with a nice view, and had a double size bed, but after the first night the staff called and asked if I'd be willing to move to a regular room (which I was okay with since that's what I booked). Rambling aside while Mirador Mansion might look a little underwhelming on the outside and in the hallways, the Pearl Premium Guesthouse was very nice. The checkin desk in on the 16 floor (16F), but there are rooms are various floors of Mirador Mansion. It should also be noted they have other affiliate "premium guesthouses" like the Milan Premium Guesthouse. My room, while not huge, was clean and neat. They change linens daily. There's also free wifi, which worked pretty well during my stay. The bathroom, for those not used to it, has the shower right in the bathroom. Not in a seperate shower stall, but literally a showerhead on the wall between the toilet and sink. This might seem strange for those not used to it, but it still works, and that's what counts. Bonus the towel rack is right over the floor drain, making it a great place to dry clothes you've hand washed in the sink. The location, like mentioned in my other review, is fantastic. You're right across the street from the Tsim Sha Shui MTR station and you can walk to the Star Ferry in 5 minutes. You're right by two shopping malls (there's lots of shopping in Hong Kong) and other stores, restaurants, business are close by (some directly in Mirador Mansion). The Guest House was very safe. You have a key to buzz you into the lobby of the hotel (or you can ring a buzzer if you're on the 16th floor because staff is there 24 hours). You also have a key to your room. Traveling alone I felt very safe at this location and would come back here again. Small points of contention - one of the plugins didn't work...well it worked, but whatever I would have plugged in there wouldn't stay in. I ended up using the TV plugin to charge my phone, which was a little awkward since the TV is wall mounted. - You get a towel, but a thicker bathmat for outside the bathroom would be nice. - There is a microwave out in the hall and a water cooler, but a tea kettle would be nice for tea. - Checking in was a little confusing, because the internet said to go to the 10th floor, then the 6th, but checkin is on the 16th floor. There are several guesthouses on that floor so be sure to read the door to make sure you're going to the right one. All in all I really enjoyed my stay here, and would definitely book the Pearl Premium Guesthouse Again the next time I'm in Hong Kong.

Not a single speck of dust or unwanted hair. I can feel that the carpet was shampooed. We booked the Family Plus: - one bedroom with a King Size bed. - two twin beds. - two desk areas. - dining table area. - master bathroom has two sinks, soaking tub and a separate shower with strong water pressure. - I was surprised to find a half bathroom. - there is a spigot, water is filtered and safe for drinking. - foyer area has a bench and shoe rack - free daily breakfast at the Lion Rock restaurant. - since HK rains a lot, you can borrow the hotel's umbrella with a $100 HKD deposit. Make sure you return them when you checkout so they can cross out your name or else you'll be charge. This suite is located at the end of the hallway, giving you peace and quiet. I have to give a huge shoutout to our lovely and darling maid, Hwa, who went above and beyond. Coming back to our room on our second day, she runs up to me and asks if I needed maid service. I told her not today. She kept insisting like 3x to empty all the trash bins and replace the used towels. After I kept assuring her that she didn't need to, she still knocked on my door a minute later. When she hurriedly finished she told me to make sure I have the green light on everyday so she can tidy up. I also appreciated that she wore slippers. That is what us Asians do. Lol. The biggest advantage is the location: you're right near the hustle and bustle with plenty of food and shopping options, and the MTR station is just a short walk away, which makes getting around Hong Kong very easy. The hotel itself was okay overall. During our stay, some areas were under construction, so parts of the property felt a bit less polished. In the lobby, they have a communal water station, which was handy, but we didn't really explore many of the other hotel facilities, so I can't comment on the gym or other amenities. Our room was fine but definitely on the smaller side, which seems pretty typical for Hong Kong. There wasn't much space to move around, and the beds were extremely small and fairly firm, so comfort may be an issue if you're taller or prefer softer mattresses. The room had a cooler box instead of a proper fridge, and based on our experience I wouldn't trust it for storing food that needs to stay cold. Overall, I'd call this an okay hotel: great for its convenient location and access to transit, but with pretty basic rooms and a few quirks that might be dealbreakers for some travelers. If you prioritize being close to the action and can live with tighter space and firm beds, it can work, but it's not a standout stay.

The building's renovation over the last decade has modernized this 4 star property, which is run by the Chinese YMCA of Hong Kong. Overall, the beds are comfy, the amenities are solid, and the hotel is an excellent value. If location is everything, then this quiet stretch of Waterloo Rd is a nice departure from Nathan Rd, which is just around the corner. It is also 2 minutes from the nearest MTR station (Yau Ma Tei) and stone's throw away from Dundas St and the Ladies Market. The rooms are spacious and modern, which is a far cry from many adjacent hotels on the Kowloon and HK island side. I'm a fan of the larger beds, which were also fairly comfy and the rooms have actual views of the city and beyond. Shower and bathroom facilities were also not a shoebox, which I very much appreciated. From an amenities standpoint, it's quite generous. They have a hotel rooftop pool, along with a 24 hour fitness center, and pretty strong WiFi. Several years ago they would equip every guest with a complimentary smartphone for local calls and internet, which was unheard of. Some good news for the environmentally conscious: It is also eco-certified. As a result, they will no longer offer disposable plastic tableware or plastic bottled water. All guests are encouraged to bring their own personal toiletries as toothpaste, toothbrushes, etc. will not be provided. Where they fall short is the dining options, which have been mediocre overall. City Cafe is their all-day buffet option, the Balcony is their in-house Cantonese + Dim Sum spot, Amazing Bakery is the grab-n-go option, and the Amazing is their overly fancy but subpar haute cuisine establishment. Eating off property is far more exciting (#1), but this is to be expected. Lastly the service has been good but not great. They could certainly be more efficient for check-in/check-out times and seem to be understaffed. Concierge is not exactly up to par with the luggage handling or recommendations, but this is not a a deal breaker. All in all, this place gets a big thumbs up. Rooms were very quiet and had nice partial views of harbor skyline. It was a convenient location to Kowloon and the MTR. But, it is not a hectic area with tons of noise and foot traffic. So, if you are venturing out, this is a good balance. Overall: Highly recommended. If I was going back to HK, this would be top of the list.

So nice to be upgraded to a room with a harbor view to be able to see the sunrise in the morning and enjoy watching the boats along the harbor at night. The king room was simple, but comfortable. The free WiFi was fast. Nice to have water bottles and English breakfast tea. The breakfast buffet was delicious. Loved the corner with Hong King milk tea and cocktail and pineapple pastries. The pineapple bun is perfect with some cold fresh butter. Lots of Asian and continental offerings which changed daily. The cream filled bao buns were so yummy. Loved the noodles, samosas, and masala chickpeas and cauliflower. The smoked salmon was so fresh. The beet and apple and quinoa salads were so good. Definitely try their fresh fruits, the pineapple was amazing, and chocolate croissants. A great way to start the day. Want to swim? The rooftop heated pool is long enough to swim decent laps. Loved the view as well. Head to the sauna after your swim. The steam and herbal saunas were perfect at the end of a long day of exploring Hong Kong. The experience shower with its multiple options was nice as well. Location is so convenient. Easy to walk to the promenade or the MRT. Service was great. Would recommend staying here again.
