They went all out with the decorations so there were definitely a lot of cute picture moments. It got me more into the Christmas spirit. Now here is where improvements could have been made. When you purchase your ticket it is for a specific time slot of 1 1/2 hours. My party and I got there right on time and there were still people inside from the last time slot so all of the standing tables and seats were taken. I know this because each time slot had a different color wristband. We had to stand around for a while which normally I wouldn't mind but this place was a lot smaller than expected so there was not much space to move around. I felt like we were always in people's way. The ticket comes with one free "welcome drink" and any drinks after you had to pay for. They were super festive but I honestly did not enjoy any of the drinks. They were EXTREMELY sweet and mostly consisted of syrups and liqueurs. I couldn't even finish any of them. Overall, I made the best out of it. However, I don't think I would go again or recommend this specific location for the Holly Jolly Bar event.

Our stomachs are full, but who are we to ignore a potential cocktail in a new bar? Sean says, "there's a new bar right around the corner, they just opened up and I'd like to go there and check it out." we agree and we end up being at Johnny Coco's, in the arts District of Las Vegas. The bartender made great cocktails, and was very friendly in the process. The owner came over and spent some time with us, telling us how crowded it was and their grand opening and we were happy for him. Heck, I wanted a T-shirt and he had to have somebody run to his house to get my size. You'll see me wearing that T-shirt around. I haven't mentioned it yet, but the Bar had a very fun and friendly atmosphere. I can't verify it 100%, but my son raved about the bathroom, something about mirrors. So if you're in the arts district in Las Vegas, looking for a friendly fun environment and good cocktails, this is a great new stop.

Classic Jewel has been on my radar to visit in Las Vegas for the past couple of years. On this trip, I finally did while in town for the Chris Brown concert. This lounge is Black-owned, and truly Black-owned, in the sense that they actually own the building the lounge is located in. That is something I admire and respect. I was expecting the lounge to be super busy due to a very viral post I saw on TikTok. However, when I arrived on Saturday the 20th at around 8:30, the space was occupied more so by a wedding party. When I walked in, I assume it was the owner who welcomed me and had me sit at a table. Shortly after, a member of the bridal party greeted me and connected me with a bartender who provided excellent service. I was especially looking forward to this visit because earlier that day I had horrible experiences trying to get food and service at other restaurants. I had been craving wings all day, so I was excited to finally order some here. The bartender made me a drink I had never tried before, a piña colada on the rocks, which was excellent. I ordered lemon pepper and barbecue wings, Cajun fries, and shrimp skewers. After not eating all day, the food hit the spot. It was flavorful, filling, and priced more than fairly. Honestly, I could not imagine having such a good experience at this price point back home in Atlanta. What truly set the night apart was when the owners, Rome and his wife, came by and personally introduced themselves. That personal touch made the experience even more memorable. From now on, this is absolutely the place to be for me whenever I visit Las Vegas. One thing to note is that the vibe may vary depending on the events taking place. On my visit, the music was catered toward the bridal party and also a 50th birthday celebration. It seems like the lounge is rented out often for private events, so you may walk in and find a party happening. Classic Jewel lived up to the hype, and then some. It is a welcoming, cultural space with great food, excellent drinks, and owners who truly care about the experience.

Guy who checked our IDs let us know this place is like walking into a Midwestern basement and that they serve beers only. I thought this was so helpful because imagine walking in and thinking they served cocktails only to realize it was beer only. When we walked in it did look like you walked into a basement. Lol The place is very retro and I loved the beer cans on the wall. They have a photo booth located in the back right corner for $5 for 2 strips. Honestly, this place was cool but only downside was I felt like it had dead air. I was sweating in there, but the vibe did overpower my only complaint. Service was good. We sat at the bar and were helped right away. I looked through their menu and settled on a fruit beer while my friend had a stout. Trust, there's something for everyone whether you love or like beer. I saw that they served food but my friend and I just came for drinks. I definitely recommend checking this place out. Very cool area and the selection of beers is great.
