I used to really enjoy going to this location once a year until I received a fraud notification from my bank for charges over a thousand dollars on a card I only used here. An employee here tried to purchase two separate orders of 550 dollars worth of designer items and then proceeded to buy lunch at cava down the street from the location for 30 dollars and dinner at wingstop worth up to 130 dollars a few days later. I had to cancel my card and open an investigation with my bank. I'm really disappointed and recommend everyone be weary of this location ! read more

All of The Davis vision offices that I've gone too are bad but this last experience makes this location win the loser award. Doc is ok though. The staff does not know what hey are doing and take no ownership. They actually lie about what you are paying for. They are rude, take no responsibility for mistakes they make and confrontational. They refuse to "make it right" or give a refund. I have since disputed with my credit card. Wait time is absurd. Stay away from this place. I've contacted my Union as I work for NY State to start the process of finding other providers for our members. After speaking to telephone customer service, they advised me that the Territory Director (Kathleen Setter) would contact me asap. Needless to say I have not heard from her. Beware. read more

I had gone to this location years ago and was not very happy and didn't go back for subsequent glasses. I wandered into this location today hoping to use my vision benefit before the end of the year--in just a few hours. when I walked in I was told that if I didn't have an appointment I could not be seen. Understanding that, I went to leave and the owner told me that he would help me. I picked out my frames and he helped me get the order together. To make myself a worse customer, I forgot the prescription at home but Howard the owner was so helpful, kind, and patient he got my order processed so that I was able to take advantage of my insurance benefits before they ran out. I appreciate the level of customer service I received today and will definitely be coming back for any future needs as will my husband. thank you again!! read more

Great customer service! Jim replaced the nose pads on my glasses in no time and made sure that the lenses were clean and clear afterwards. His friendliness put me at ease too - was stressed coming into the shop because one of my nose pads had broken off. Highly recommend! read more

Great experience! I had stopped coming here two years ago soley because the doctor was an arrogant jerk. The front staff has always been amazing but i could not stand the attitude of the doctor. I was so happy to find out that Dr. Arrogant was no longer there. I took a chance and was seen by Dr Romain. She is amazing ... night and day experience. As always the front staff was wonderful. Most disorganized, unprofessional staff of people I have ever encountered. No communication between any of the employees and doctors. I only went because it was closer to me than the optometrist I usually go to and I will never, ever return again. It should not have taken eight appointments to receive glasses and a prescription for contacts. Back to my old doctor it is! They were a million times better than Visionworks Farmingdale. I have been to this Davis Vision the past 4 years. I never really thought much of them. This past time I had a new Optometrist, I believe her name is Laura Romain. She was fantastic. Very professional, answered all my questions without making me feel like i was a bother or not smart. As Always Jim McNAir was a pleasure in helping me pick out and reduce the costs on all the 'extras'. When calling in to see if mine were in I got fast answers and was overall very happy. TERRIBLE!!! I was greeted by the lady at the front desk and I apologized because I was 5 mins late for my appointment.. she responds "oh you're late we'll I don't think he can take you". Rude!! Whatever happened to customer service? After confirming with the dr that he couldn't take me she asked if I would Like to reschedule... reschedule over 5 mins!! Friendly employees. Fixed a pair of glasses for us and went the full mile to make sure they were as good as new.

This place is terrible. They take forever to get you your contact lens orders, and act like they don't have a clue when you call up to find out where your order is. They manage to charge you at the moment you place your order, then you wait two weeks for your lenses to even come in. Also always hidden fees on the lenses. I am forced to wear dailies and though I have been wearing the same lenses for years, the price is never the same and there are weird fees they "didn't tell you about last time." read more
