Wanted to share positive feedback on Andy with Davis Stucco. I called upon him for help when a prior general contractor wasn't able to get a matching stucco finish for a wall repair. We had gone quite a few rounds with the other contractor but the wall just didn't meet our quality standards. Andy was super responsive, professional, and very friendly. I had my electric service upgraded and needed to have the stucco patched around the new electric panel. Heavy rains and wind were forecast later in the upcoming week so I needed to have the job done ASAP. I contacted Davis Stucco on a weekend and Andy (the owner) actually texted me back on a Saturday. After texting him photos of my panel, Andy called and explained how he would weatherproof around the electric box and weave the existing lath wire into new wire. I was going to be out of town and thankfully Andy said that was not a problem. He was able to fit my repair in the following Tuesday. Atmospheric rains pose a problem and we had a huge one, but Andy Davis personally came to our rescue. When I started calling around for stucco repair his name came up with good reviews and I called him along with three other firms. I had to leave voice mails for the others but Andy answered himself. I explained that we had a huge leak right into the living room through window. We'd already spent one year wading through the assessments from Marvin windows and insurance folk to prove that the window was not the issue. Andy was leaving a job and offered to come by the house on his way home. He did so, promptly explained how he would approach determining the source of the leak and arranged timing. The other firms wanted to remove all the stucco from the house front and we decided that his approach made sense and contracted to go ahead. Our house got attacked by woodpeckers trying to get to the styrofoam underneath our stucco. We had 10-15 large holes all around our house. It wasn't a huge job, but definitely something we needed to get repaired. I contacted several companies - most didn't call me back or didn't want to take a smaller job. If you want a beautiful hand-worked stucco job, look no further than Andy. We have a house with an English cottage look. The look is achieved by unpainted stucco--all hand-wielded texture, with some splashes of red color added to it. When we had to rebuild our basement and take care of some dry rot, we had a really hard time getting anyone to match the amazing original stucco work. We tried quite a few stucco guys. No one could come close. Our contractor kept saying, "We will just paint it, if we can't find a match." We were ready to give in, but luckily we found Andy. He not reassured us that he could match the texture of the old stucco, but said that if we added grey splashes as well as red ones to the new stucco, it will blend better with the old. And was he right! It preserved our old English cottage look, and all the new and old stucco blended seamlessly. Andy finished the job on time, on budget, and was so, so happy doing it. We had two 4' walls on either side of the driveway with 8" flat tops that had become eroded down to the adhesive. I called Andy Davis to come have a look, and he explained the work that needed to be done, and gave me a fair price. He returned with a helper a few days later, and completed the work the same day.
