I was in the middle of moving my mom from Tazewell,TN, to just outside of Chicago by car. My mom is recovering from a hip replacement and also has COPD. She has to be on oxygen almost 100% of the time. She has a portable unit that was plugged into her lighter. Unfortunately, the machine wasn't recharging as it should be while plugged in. She was down to less than 33% charged. We thought a fuse was blown for the cigarette lighter. We had stopped earlier to have a mechanic replace the fuse but in minutes the fuse had blown. I walked into Advanced and explained the situation to Karlie. He suggested a stronger fuse and when I explained that I had no idea how to install it he said no problem I will do it for you. Long story short he ended up having us follow him to a mechanic friend of his who figured out the situation in less than a minute. They wouldn't take any money for their assistance and were very kind. There are still decent, kind, helpful human beings out there. Not sure who the mechanics were but kudus to you!

I'm used to changing my own tires, but the newfangle vehicle I have now doesn't even have a spot for a spare, hence this situation. Allen and his colleague (sorry! I can't remember her name!) from Walmart made a bummer road trip layover an easy fix. They matched the tire on the car with a new one and had it changed and ready in under an hour while I checked out of the nearby hotel. I didn't know Walmart had these services and boy was I grateful for the early 7 am start, the courteous expert service they both gave and the reliability that comes from this big box store.
