I sent through online a request for a quote ragarding back flow preventer repair or replacement. Maston's Andrew came to the house the next day after setting up an appointment. Long story short it was not a back flow preventer problem. Thankful for Andrew asking some questions it turned out to be our water softener was the problem. Water softener was old and needed to be replaced. It was expensive to replace but it needed to be done. Dakota put in the water softener, great job. Also had facets replaced and some of the underneath parts replaced in a bathroom. I ordered the facets myself from Lowes. Dakota also did this job. All employees who worked for us for 2 days did an excellent job. I would give them all 5 stars.

5 year old a/c system blown by technician. Now living in a 95 degree home with senior…read more Airco installed my brand new a/c and heating system in 2020. Now in may 2026 had a humming sound at condensing unit. Fan wouldn't come on and then tripped breaker. Airco tech came out. Said it was capacitor. Replaced capacitor and I heard a loud boom! Came to investigate and refrigerant was spraying out of unit. After about 15 minutes tech said it was a bad compressor. Compressor was fine before he came. Said parts under warranty. Labor to change compressor and charge was over $2500. That's a ridiculous price considering I bought this new from this company 5-6 years ago. 4 ton Lennox unit. I called and spoke to a service manager "Dave" and asked him why it would blow if thermostat was off. 2nd tech came out from Airco to diagnose. He couldn't tell me why compressor had a terminal blowout. Just said he noticed one of the wires to capacitor was not hooked up? Ok. So 1st tech. Made a mistake and I'm having to suffer. Beware. A plumber showed up and told me that the slab and tile would have to be busted up and he could not complete the work that day and would schedule the repair the following Thursday. He claimed it was a big repair and would take some time- he told me it was cost $2440.00 When Thursday came- Aspen Plumbing sent 2 different plumbers out to make the repair. They arrived at 9:30 am. They said they needed to go to the plumbing supply to get more material for the job. They were gone 1 hour. They made the repair and left at 12:30 pm. They spent a total of 2 hours making the repair and left. They did a good job and were very courteous; however, my problem is with the labor rate. I was led to think this job would take maybe all day the way the first plumber talked. The material they used did not cost over $50.00. That is a labor rate of over $1000 per hour- that is outrageous to me. In spite of their quick reply and doing a good job- I cannot recommend them with a positive review. I feel this is a unethical business practice and they took advantage of the situation.
