First time here. Great atmosphere, there's mild music but not loud so you can have a conversation. Pleanty of tvs with the games onCold $1 beers, ruben sandwich was great, fish tacos were good, House chips are great as well. We will be back. 2/29/20. Been here a few more times but just had wings. Which were very good. Flying solo today running errands and thought I would drop in and have a burger. It was good but the bun was cold. I would take an extra minute prep and toast it. Normally a great place and staff is always on the ball! Tonight it was HORRIBLE. No one came to our table to take our order the waitress was on her cell phone and we had to go to the bar to place our order. when our food got to the table it was cold and the side of fries had like 10 fries in it, the pulled pork nachos where soggy. The waitress never came to the table to ask about refills or to take or glasses we had to go to the bar each time we needed refills. We have always have a great time here and will continue to make out twice a week visit for darts just never again on a Sunday. read more

(11/3/24) This is technically a bar/restaurant, but I will come back here for the food and treat it like a restaurant lol. Came here for dinner on a Sunday night around 6-7PM. Wanted to try something new and unfamiliar and as long as I've been around here I've never been but heard very good things about the food. Since it was around dinner time and on a Sunday it was not that crowded or hoppin' (preferred) but there were still a decent amount of people inside so got to be around other people without being overwhelmed. Everything was AWESOME down to the salad, just what I needed. They have all the sauces you would crave from Cheddars/Bdubs etc. (the gold is my FAVORITE, I usually always do BBQ but theirs is a bit smoky for my liking). Both the fries (which are seasoned waffle fries, not sure why crinkle cut are shown in the food photos bc those didn't seem to be available) and they are now literally my new favorite fries in town. Seriously, that good. The fries came out early with the salad and they were so good got another order (only $1.99, why not) so fresh came out when the rest of the food was ready. The onion rings were also fantastic and exactly what I want when I crave an onion ring (real onions, not mashed onion ring). I will definitely come back here for these and with as good as they are probably will come for drinks in the future. The server was also very nice and seemed experienced, she didn't bother to write down the order despite it being a little complicated/extra and everything came out correctly. Drinks topped regularly. We went to Davis' Place for Sunday Brunch after recommendations from our server from a different restaurant. We checked the Yelp reviews, and we decided to go anyway. This place gets 5 stars purely on vibes. One of the only places in huntington that will let you play your own music on the touch tunes box and wont shut it off if it doesn't meet their liking. I was a repeated costumer here because I felt accepted for that. It might seem like a small thing but when you're not from the area and don't look like everyone else there- in this political climate, small gestures mean a lot. Close to down town but not on top of the hustle and bustle of being actually down town. Order anything I dare you can't go wrong. It's all freshly made. With the great combination of a neighborhood bar and Classic Burger Joint features some of the best tasting burgers in town! Ladies and gents take on the great American Davis' burger but wait there's also lunch specials generous plates of fresh made food like grandma used to make. They have a very good service, nice staff and nice ambiance. Between the atmosphere and service the mixologists provide they are so friendly and their drink menu and knowledge is never ending. Can I give less than 1 Star? Growing up in Huntington I have hung out at Davis' for 45 years. My last visit there will be my last. My brothers and I went inside, saw the updates, and had a few beers. Leaving was the issue. As Management allowed many drunken youths to hang out in the parking lot, we were accosted, attempted to be blocked in, and harassed. After I began filming them with my iPhone and calling the police, they retreated. We got the hell out of there and will never go back. Not a safe place. read more

The customer service was crap wasting my whole lunch on a 15 min pick up order and the servers are confused and don't seem to know what their doing in the front. When ordering they didn't even take a name of who it was order and once i was there , first one for pick up i was 4th to leave and they didn't know who's order went to who. read more

I'm here constantly because the food is great, affordable, and it's near home. The service is great once you get to know the bartenders... so long as it's not busy, but that's not their fault. They switch back and forth on the buns they use, one kind is great and the other totally breaks apart and you end up with a bunch of bread crumbles halfway thru your sandwich. It also looks like crap inside, kinda like the Winchester House of restaurants because it seems like the owner just keeps building more onto it and changing things, but never getting the previous job finished. It is true that Davis' Place does have cheap beer and the food is not bad for "bar food"'; however, the service is absolutely terrible. The young ladies who work the bar seem to have an attitude that you, as the customer, should feel privileged that they have taken the time out of their day to get you a drink or your food order. They are obviously more important than you. If you are lucky enough to have your order taken, you will wait, while the bartenders discuss the events of the day with each other, before returning with your order. So, while things at Davis may be cheap, you will get what you pay for with service. It is very poor and we would not return to this establishment if they were giving away beer. And FYI, the service was bad enough that I signed up for a Yelp account just to write this review, although I may write more in the future. read more

It was okay, the food isn't as good as it used to be, chips and rings were over cooked. The waitress was very nice.

First of all, the food is horrible. And for someplace that has almost 50 taps the beer selection is a head scratcher. Who puts 39 domestic beers, including duplicates, on tap when you have 50? Great place to come for a drink on any night. You can come to watch the game, have a meal with some friends, or get drunk here on the weekend. Their prices are more than reasonable (uhh $1 draught beers), food is good and they give large portions. Definitely frequent this place each time I'm in town. read more

I fondly remember the Davis's of my youth as a dark dive with some goofy arcade type games, cheap beer and good sandwiches. Fast forward 30 years, and it is now a clean,well lit, recently renovated local bar, with a nice menu. But, they still have $1 draft beer. read more

I've ignored all the bad stuff about this place without saying anything for a long time, but everything here has just gotten so shitty. - The service sucks most of the time, not because of anyone working there, but because they are almost consistently understaffed. - The atmosphere is awful, in part due to the terrible layout of the bar and the closing in of the patio. - The owner skips over songs that other people have PAID to listen to simply because he doesn't like them. - The food is so hit and miss. This was my breaking point today Someone got me a grilled cheese to go, and when I opened it, it was decently burnt. I was irritated but was going to eat it anyway because I was super hungry. When I took the first bite I had to spit it out. The top didn't look great, but the bottom was almost completely black (https://goo.gl/vnEP1l). The sandwich was completely inedible and they knew it, but they still stuck it in the box, hiding the most burnt side. I had to throw it out. This isn't acceptable for a business to do. read more

I went to Davis's after lunch on a Friday for a few beers. The place had a nice atmosphere for an afternoon bar spot. The bartenders were nice. I also found out later the beers I purchased were part of the $1 special. About one hour into it a man went behind the bar and got loud with the bartenders. After speaking with the gentleman beside me I found out he was an owner/manager. I paid and left. Late that night I got sick. After speaking with a few co-workers they also claim to have been sick, or heard of someone who got sick after visiting Davis's. I do have a friend who frequents Davis's and said hes never been sick. If it weren't for the manager getting loud, or the thought that this place could have made me sick, I would rate it four stars. read more

Never tried the food, but the drinks are made poorly. It's hard to get any of the drinks there to be made correctly, unless you order a beer. I think they employ young girls to look good and not to actually be decent bartenders. read more

Service is slow unless you are a bartender's friend. We go there to watch the football games and when we need abrefill on beer we end uo waiting for at least 10 minutes while some of the staff do shots or chat up friends. read more
