I have seen Katyreena several times for office visits hips knees etc always spot on. I have had 2 knees (2012) and 2 hips 2016 AND 2024 by these providers and at Porter. my wife had 2 knees done in 2010. Excellent care going back 16 years for both of us. I was in terrible pain afterwards and went back many times complaining of redness, heat, swelling and pain. Their answer was to give me shots to "get me through the healing process." After a year of agony, I went for a 2nd opinion with another orthopedic surgeon. He took one look at my knee and told me that he thought I was allergic to the implant, stating that, "you could fry an egg on that knee." He referred me to National Jewish Hospital for metal testing, which I had to pay thousands of dollars. Sure enough, it came back that I was highly allergic to nickel, which was in the implant. I went back to Dr. Miner, crying, and telling him my story. It was even more upsetting because I told him, before the surgery, that I was allergic to many things and was worried about being allergic to the implant and he waved me off and said, "don't worry about that, you'll be fine." After telling him of my pain for an entire year, he requested that I pay $600 out of pocket to have his own blood test done, so he could send them to a hospital in Chicago. He didn't believe the results of National Jewish, a world renowned hospital? So, I paid for another blood test and sure enough, we got the same results! Highly allergic to nickel! He tried to talk me out of redoing the surgery, stating that I could be worse off! I went to my primary doctor, who referred me to a different orthopedic surgeon, who ended up redoing the knee surgery. He took out the implant that I was allergic to and replaced it with a titanium smaller one. The results have been a night and day difference! I am so thrilled to be out of pain and am back to my old self! After everything I went through, Mr. Miner was not willing to do anything for me to help my situation!!!! I had to pay another $10,800 for the 2nd surgery, after paying the same out of pocket for the 1st one, in addition to the testing at National Jewish and the $600 for Todd Miner's blood test. Everyone told me that I should sue him! I would not recommend him to anyone.

As a triathlete himself, a…read moreCrossFitter and all-around athletic guy, he understands what it's like to have something going on due to the abuse we subject ourselves to, in being active. For me, I play roller derby, I'm a Mom and do CrossFit 2-3 times a week; that means that no matter what I'm doing, something on my body is either sore or could use some help with mobility or pain relief. Scott understands how the body works in a very unique way. Being an athlete himself as well as having training in Chinese medicine and sports medicine and just having a keen sense of "what can make it better" you always know that laying down for a treatment, be it some soft tissue work or an acupuncture treatment that you'll leave feeling better, more whole and more effective in your life, and your next adventure!

I trust in Scott enough to be in my gym, CrossFit LoDo, several times a week working on me and my…read moreathletes. He knows what it means to train hard, and what to do to alleviate the things that happen along the way in training hard. I have had work done on everything from my hip, to my shoulder, to my low back, and consistently seen improvement immediately upon treatment. The most telling thing is how much Scott cares about getting you to your goals. As a crossfitter, the answer of "take a few weeks off" just isn't acceptable, so he will meet you where you need to be to train the way you want to train. I would absolutely recommend him to friends, family, and any athlete who was asking.

Douglas A Dennis MD - My newest book, a memoir of 35 years in animal welfare. Without Dr. Dennis none of this would have happened.

This style pain management will drive patients to self help. Have pain Rx procured before surgery. The worst pain management I have ever experienced. I know now to get black market pain medicine & never trust any surgeon. Avoid this practice as they are codeine haters. My pain management doctor said I received 1/2 the dose I needed to control that level of pain. I will buy fentanyl before next surgery because I no longer trust any surgeon.

I have been a patient of Dr. Dennis's for thirty-one years. I was cursed with infantile hip…read moredisplacia that no one caught until I was 19 years old. By then the damage was done and a bi-lateral hip replacement was in my future. At the tender age of 43 I had become disabled and lived in chronic, severe pain. Dr. Dennis did one of the first bi-lateral hip replacements in Denver on me. I was in his scientific studies, due to my case being so unusual. I have had periodic "maintenance" work done and then, in 2021 my old bones gave up (I was always highly active). He had to completely replace one of the prosthesis and since it was so rare an occurrence, a terrific amount of research and work went into my care. He squeezed my surgery in one day before the hospital closed down for Covid! Today I am able to walk pain-free, do an elliptical, a recurrent peddling machine, total body gym with squats, treadmill, and tai chi/yoga. I continue to work, live independently, and because of being able to remain active in animal welfare work several hundred animals have been under my care. These lives were saved because I could do the work. I could do the work because Dr. Dennis saved me. I find him to be a warm, compassionate person who genuinely loves his profession (why he's not retired!), besides being one of the most innovative and knowledgeable doctors in the field. His charity work in third-world countries has enabled thousands of under-served sufferers to benefit from his foundation's ministrations. So many people can walk, work, and enjoy their lives without pain thanks to the time, energy, and expense Dr. Dennis and his colleagues have provided on yearly travel to areas of need. He is a sought-after teacher for his many protegees--both who work for him, and for those who have fanned out internationally to spread the skills and talents needed elsewhere. He remains my hero. I know what my life would have been without him. I know how many animals would have died without me. He is my role model and I hope neither of us ever retires!!!
