Dr. Wade Smith provided the 3rd opinion after I suffered a shoulder injury in a bike accident. The…read morefirst opinion (in the ER) was "Put it in a sling, it will be fine." whereas the the second opinion was "You need surgery." Fortunately, I was able to see Dr. Smith, a *trauma* specialist, rather than a sports medicine person. Dr, Smith was brisk and to the point, but friendly and warm as well. No beating around the bush, he knew exactly what the deal was, the risks of surgery, and how to read the scans from the ER. I was in the exam room with my partner and my best friend, and he treated both of them, as well as me, as valid and present partners in my health care. The office staff were warm, kind, and efficient, and I left after 50 minutes knowing exactly what the next 6 months should look like for my recovery. It's too bad he's only a trauma specialist, I'd go to Dr. Smith for everything if I could. But I'm glad he's a specialist. He saved me $X,000 in costs for surgery, plus down time, and reassured me I'd be back on my back as soon as *I* felt ready. If you've experienced a traumatic injury through a fall or accident, please take the time to visit MOTUS and Dr. Smith to ensure your care is exactly what is the best for you and your outcome!

Right hip Oct. 2014 by Dr. Kim ( no longer there} , Left Hip Aug. 2023 by Dr. Jason Jennings and Left Knee Feb. 2024 by Dr. Jennings. The entire staff at the Colorado Joint Center has always been professional and caring during pre-op visits and preparation for surgeries. Appointments were easy to schedule and always on time with zero waiting time between scheduled appointments and Xrays and consultation no office visit was morethan 45 minutes from start to completion. The pre-op and post recovery staff including doctors, nurses, nurse assistants, physical and occupational therapists have always been caring, explain procedures thoroughly and are very professional. I highly recommend the excellent teams at Colorado Joint Center and Porter Hospital for anyone considering joint replacement surgery. My post op knee replacement required Physical Therapy was also easy to schedule at Parker Advent Hospital less than 3 miles from my home.

However the care and process were the worst I have ever had in regards to courtesy, bedside manner, concern and results. Called PA back left a very disappointing message and never received a call from Dr Jennings. I have a major issue with knee so I called the referring DR for a new referral, he wanted to talk to Jennings, no call from Dr Jennings this was more than two weeks ago. Have a new doctor on 5/21 more than 4 months after manipulation. I am a professional athlete and the knee replacement surgery I was told by Dr Jennings, I'm in great hands and if I follow his instructions I will be back competing In May 2026 I did what he asked and more. Never did I think I would be worse than pre surgery. I would have never had the surgery, I would have retired from competition and kept my leg as it was.
